Alec (Leyzer) Burko interviews Yankl-Perets Blum, ייִדיש אונטן Yekhiel Geller-
Katz and Raghav Krishnapriyan about their experiences during Yugntruf's Yiddish Week, and their history with the event, as well as how and why they learned Yiddish. Yidish-Vokh (Yiddish Week) is an all Yiddish retreat run by Yugntruf Youth for Yiddish which brings together Yiddish speakers and students from various backgrounds to live together for a week solely in Yiddish. In this clip Yankl-Perets talks about how he learned Yiddish and why he feels that his modern Orthodox school never taught anything about Yiddish or Eastern European Jews. Very impressive to be able to speak Yiddish that fluently? I wonder where the Yiddish speaking communities are outside NYC

@KhazariaProject Assuming you mean non-Hassidim and non-elderly people, there are large numbers of Yiddish speakers in Baltimore, the San Francisco area, Antwerp, Paris, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Montreal, and probably many other places I'm forgetting.
