Hi there. Could you please let me know if you noticed any screen lagging or "tearing" in other words - not smooth gameplay with PS5 games that runs at 60FPS? I won't even ask for games locked at 30FPS - those I would definetly not be able to play anymore. I have 48" C1 and I play on PC with RTX 3080 and my experiences with 60FPS games which are LOCKED to 60FPS are just horrible - for example (Mafia Definitive Edition, Darksouls III). I think that OLED screens them selfs which are High Refresh Rate (120Hz) deals poorly with 60Hz/FPS content - but I would like to make sure regarding PS5. All other games I play on 4K and capped FPS to 118 - with all of them I must at least achieve 75-80+ FPS that it is smooth enough for me - most prefferably is of course stable 118 FPS - but that works only with older titles and with few graphics settings lowered. Thank you very much for you honest answer. This is the only thing that it concerns me, because otherwise I would buy Playstation 5 sooner. Best regards.

Had my C1 for several months. No issue, and better than expected. I don’t have a theatre room but my living room doesn’t have a bunch of windows. The tv is mounted smack in the middle of the room so outside light doesn’t really affect it. This LG OLED C1 is a replacement of an eight year old Vizio 1080p tv. With this LG OLED, when Apple TV is on and switches to the screensaver mode, sometimes my dog catches an image and growls at it. She never did that with the old Vizio and I used to leave on that Vizio tv all day. I’m more aware of turning the LG OLED tv off though so that’s a good thing. Since I feel I take better care of the LG, I actually watch less tv than before. Well, I should say I power off the tv more often now, whereas, in the past I would just walk away for periods of time not caring if the tv was on or off. LG OLED C1 is stunning and I hope for it to last a solid 10 years with care.

Read if you're on the fence about buying and/or burn-in. After much research, and ALMOST buying the LG CX in 2021, I opted for the slightly game-friendlier, slightly more future-proofed 48" LG C1 (it was slightly more expensive too, but SO worth it). Previously I had a 42" plasma TV that got Windows Explorer headers and footers burned into the top and bottom of the screen (slightly) after the FIRST WEEK of using it for computer-related stuff just 30 minutes a day.
It wasn't bad though - I kept my plasma for a decade. Letterboxed movies looked flawless and it wasn't noticeable on MOST full-screen TV shows unless there was a bright daylight scene or a white background like the Matrix or something - but I learned FAST not to leave the screen on while the image was paused when I left the room for more than a bathroom break, because I ALMOST burned in a Netflix logo once when I paused and scrambled some eggs "real quick". I learned that the screen-scrolling option helped - and in the case of the Netflix logo FINALLY erased it after multiple full-length scrolling sessions (probably because I caught it so soon) - but those features couldn't cure the problem after a point. So even though the burn-in was minimal, and I loved my plasma, I was already used to frequently turning my TV on and off and thought, for the price, I'm going to baby this new one from the get-go.
I read ONE promising review for the LG C1 from a guy who said he used his as a computer monitor 8 hours a day and six months later had ZERO burn in due to the pixel shift/ dimming/ screen-scrolling options; that he often forgot to turn off the screen and left it while he did other things like run to the store!!!!, and THAT review got me to make the purchase. I thought, well if I baby it, and if it lasts AT LEAST six months, it'll be an improvement, and I'll get to see some high-def 4K after a decade of 720p, plus get to see my Series X games in all their intended glory. SO worth it.
Guys, I have paused while watching Netflix shows - with those big Netflix logos hovering on screen - gone to get a drink, ended up in protracted family conversations, forgotten all about it, and come rushing back in horror 20-30 minutes later... only to find that the picture was occasionally fluctuating from bright to dim, with a kind of automatic scrolling feature at different levels of brightness in addition to the visually invisible pixel shift technology, and the screen is FINE.
Over one year later the ONLY problem I've had (quite recently) is that our house was hit by lightning and an HDMI port shorted out (it blew out my Series X completely). About a month after that, the remaining three HDMI ports failed one by one in a single day, and it's currently out for repairs, but I got through Best Buy, along with their 5 year extended Geek Squad coverage, and won't pay a dime unless they have to replace the TV, in which case I ONLY need to buy another 5 year warranty (around $300 bucks). But if they CAN fix or replace the ports, my coverage allows me one more additional repair in the future before I have to buy another extension to the plan, or a new television. It SUCKS that my local Best Buy had to ship it out and might take A MONTH to get it back, but I don't even want to use a smaller, spare TV that we have in another room because I'm THAT spoiled. I'm watching things on my 17" laptop just so I can have the joy of turning that sucker on and being blown away AGAIN. Just a GREAT TV.
The lightning was not the TV's fault. I play games and TRY to remember to go to the pause screen or the menus or something every few minutes to break things up, but the image is SO immersive I get lost in the stories and gaming sometimes and just forget, and like the guy said - only for me a YEAR later growing ever more slack on the habits I had with my plasma - I'm using it as a computer monitor at times, watching TV and movies, playing games, and NOTHING - NO BURN IN! As others have said, and I don't think I'm exaggerating, it's simply the BEST TV I've ever had.
It MAY burn-in someday, but so far, it's 4K plasma-screen quality without the fast and dramatic burn-in problem my actual 720p plasma had. In fact, no burn-in AT ALL. Of course it depends on what you use it for - I think it MIGHT burn in faster being used as a full-time monitor, only because the dimming feature seems to kick in faster when I plug my in laptop, but even then, I've used it for near all-night writing sessions and when it dims I just minimize the browser, flip through some desktop background images for a minute or two, then get back to work, and a year later, no problem (knock on wood, lol). Hope I get it back soon (already bought a newer, stronger surge protector - 4000 joules this time); it's only been a few days but I REALLY miss it! Hope this helps, and all the best!

Glad to hear that. I've been VERY hesitant about getting the C1 because if I pull the trigger on purchasing, I NEED it to last a long time. I simply can't afford to have it crap out on me or require repairs at my expense. I've been reading tons of 1 star amazon reviews that all seem to point to LG being terrible with their customer service, going as far as not offering refund, replacement, or repair for TVs that are clearly broken due to mad manufacturing and not user error. In a couple cases, customers claimed that LG even blocked their number after labeling them a "fraudulent customer" and denying they even purchased the TV, even after sending them a scanned receipt with their name on it, after it was determined the TV would need replacing. There was no way for the customer to even dispute this claim as they were blocked. Some have claimed to be stuck with a 2 grand piece of junk after only a few months of normal use with no help at all from LG. That said, it still has better reviews than nearly every TV out there, and it seems like every company's customer service gets blasted in negative reviews. Basically, all TVs and customer service seem to have issues and you just have to hope that you get a good set with no manufacturing flaws.

@@amphibeingmcshpongletron5026 where I live there customer service is excellent....I have used several other LG products, never had to struggle with their customer service.
So my suggestion will be to check out if their service is top notch at your location, better to avoid then buying this TV if you are doubtful of their service.
I was pretty sure of their service quality in my hometown, so I bought with almost 5 years warranty. Oled is amazing in display and nothing comes close in picture quality. But then they can also develop snags like mine did. Better to buy with robust warranty and from company that gives hassle free service, else look for something else.

I've had my 77" C1 and 55" C1 for over a year and have been extremely happy with them both. No gaming and just cable and internet streaming. I've noticed the 77" seems brighter than the 55" with the same exact settings. I would recommend going as large as you can and you will not be dissapointed. I also mounted both OLEDs on tilt/swivel mounts because the screen is very reflective with any light source (windows, lamps, overhead lights, etc...). The extremely wide view angle makes it very easy to adjust away from light sources with the swivel mount.

Its a phenomenal tv. Will do me for the next 10 years at least. One feature thats so cool that barely any videos talked about, is the remote control that has a mouse feature (cursor moves around with motion of you hand/remote). That coupled with the impressively adequate web browser, its amazing (works great with football and movie streaming services, not to mention xvideos in 48” 4K 🤣🙈). And yeah its absolutely stunning with a PS5, Dying Light 2 and Far Cry were very impressive and it ran (competitive shooter) Apex Legends basically as good as my gaming monitor (although i usually play apex on my monitor, especially if i’m playing ranked mode). I really like the screen off setting so i can run spotify (with the really good sound wuality the C1 has) and turn off the screen to prevent burn in. So happy with my purchase. I saw this tv on Target’s website for $1099 around 10 weeks ago. I was thinking damn, that’s a good price. And as I was planning on purchasing an Xbox Series X soon, I figured I should go for it.
I actually left it unopened under my bed for nine weeks (slight buyers remorse I suppose as I didn’t NEED it). I just got help setting it up yesterday after getting a new entertainment center and the Series X. I haven’t had a chance to spend time with it yet, but the reviews for gaming on this tv have me quite hopeful and making me feel better about the purchase. I also have only one window in my room with light blocking blinds so I feel like I am going to be very satisfied.
I’ll definitely drop another comment here after I have gamed on it a bit.

My understanding is that burn-in was only a major problem on the earliest generation plasmas. I have one of the last plasmas manufactured and I only get temporary burn-in. You can easily get rid of it by turning the t.v. to a blank t.v. channel. The flying black and white sparks get rid of the burn-in. And that is with A LOT of still pictures being displayed on my tv. I would imagine the experience is no worse on an OLED, but OLEDs weren't supposed to have any of plasma's disadvantages, so Im real surprised to hear about burn-in fears with OLED. I've been waiting years for OLED prices to come down and will be pulling the trigger soon. So thank you for the review. It will either be an LG or a Sony depending on how much I want to spend.

Hi there. Could you please let me know if you noticed any screen lagging or "tearing" in other words - not smooth gameplay with PS5 games that runs at 60FPS? In comparison 60FPS locked games runs smoothly on my 65" UHD LED Samsung TV.

      Smooth and no input lag.
In fact the game I've played the most is 60fps; CoD Bo4 (Blackout BR) and most likely I've about 1000hr playtime on my C1.
Its been excellent TV even on a competitive game like that.
Only issue has been team cheaters and US servers because i play in EU, but i have nothing bad to say about TV, quite the opposite.
Took couple months to master all the picture settings, but after owning the C1 over a year now, im still very satisfied and for me it's almost perfect TV.
I've been thinking to upgrade the TV to 65" C1, because 48" look too small on our livingroom.
Have you checked that you have Power Saving OFF and have you tried to change the Motion Smoothing settings (TruMotion) ?
      I've set them all OFF.
You also might have some sort of syncing problem between the PC and C1.
Changing some settings might fix this and check out all the C1 Game Mode settings too.
If that's the case it most likely disappear automatically playing on Ps5.

Hey, Thanks brother, I'm from India & I was searching for this specific kind of 1 year later review for C1, as looking forward to buy this one, was slightly confused, recently Xiaomi launched 55 inch lowest priced OLED Vison tv here at half price of C1 but low on features like LG A1 ( not for gamers obviously), this video will help to take the decison, Thanks for this review !!!

@@mqyasser8484 i would compare the C2 with c1 and G1 in store or on CZcams..both 2021/2022 models r good . Also check the sony oleds ..but they would be little expensive

As a C1 owner myself. This TV kicks so much ass. OLED TV that is also great for gaming and decently priced. It's all you can ask for.

C2 55 inch is £1699 though, The C1 55 inch is currently £899. I'm getting the latter delivered with set up next week. It will be mostly used for PC gaming from the couch.

I ve got out of tv's 8 months. No problems with it. Good enough for me. Don't have any problems with it burning in the screen ether.

It seems like gamers like the 42 inch and 48 inch. we are not gamers and are looking for a good TV to watch and operating system to interact. would you recommend these displays since we do not need a larger display or is the 55 inch a minimum for overall pleasure?
