something interesting i’ve picked up on is that most survivors said that the split sounded like a continuous avalanche (or something along those lines). which, to my knowledge, hasn’t really been depicted as such in most media. great job on the sound design, btw, it’s horrifyingly realistic. 👍
This is pretty decent. But may I give some constructive criticism? The sounds of the breakup are pretty good, but not very accurate. Survivors described hear to distinct explosion like sounds. The first was muffled, and sounded like it came from deep within the ship (that was likely the sound of the keel buckling upward) and the second was louder and sharper (that was the ship actually breaking apart). Survivors also described hearing a great building noise just before the breakup, and some attributed it to the sound of every lose object inside the ship crashing forward as the angle of the ship became to great. I also noticed that the screams sound like mostly female. The majority of people on the ship during the final moments were men. The screams are also too loud and to clear sounding, they should be distant, and slightly echoy, which give it a very haunting feel. The groaning of the ship and sound of the breakup are also to crisp sounding. Try adding some reverb to the screams, and adding some deeper groaning, and add some bass to it, as well as the noises I described earlier. The best example of what it’s supposed to sound like, would be in the part-time explore a real time sinking video that came out earlier in 2021. It’s a very very good video, it has a really good sound design. This is not meant to be a hate comment. I’m just trying to give some advice. You clearly have potential for great sound design!
All but one survivor said the ship sank intact, which led many to believe it would be found that way. Jack Thayer sketched the ship from a life boat and showed the ship breaking. No other survivor mentioned this. It wasn't untill the wreck was found that his sketches were proven accurate.
sound is not very accurate. survivors dicribed the sound as ''a constant thunder'' or ''explosions''. many survivors wrote about the noise, and said they were sure it was the sound of the boilers comming loose and tumbling down the hull, inside the ship.
I think it’s probably a very difficult sound to reproduce.. since we have no comparison of a ship splitting in this way. Memories of sounds people have heard are also hard to convey. I was in NY on 9/11 and I can’t compare those noises to anything... but it was very loud.
It was probably the most horrifying thing ever to be in that ship that night when this happened... Those lost souls were never forgotten.
One minute you're enjoying the comfort and luxury of a cruise ship. The next minute it's sinking and you're fighting to keep yourself alive!

I wonder if that would have been the sound of the timber materials splitting, like how you hear trees snapping and bending during an avalanche?
The louds screams after it breaks sends shivers
You almost had it spot on, survivors claim they heard 4 loud booms or explosion before the split
The screams when the lights go out are shaking me to the core. It's so terrifying.
Was it just women screaming? I don't hear any men screaming, and it sounds like only one person is screaming.

I’m not gonna read your whole paragraph nerd!
@John Flanagan there were more than 2 survivors who claimed she broke in half, it was almost 40/50 50/50.
@@johnflanagan1397 About half of the survivors claimed she broke in half. I don't know where you're getting this from.
LIAR!!!!@@johnflanagan1397

I love the way you make they're screaming louder. It's very realistic.👍
