  • We’re back for another Fan Debate, brought to you by Sky Bet. I’m joined by Jamie Carragher, Roy Keane, Josh Denzel and some of the biggest fan channels across England.
With the Premier League returning we discuss some of the biggest topics, from Ten Hag or Pochettino, to Chelsea’s sanctions, the state of Everton and so much more.
Really enjoyed this one. Give this video a like if you enjoyed it, and let me know who you want on future episodes of The Overlap.
00:00-27:11 Ten Hag or Pochettino, how the Glazers can fix Man Utd & should Maguire be captain?
27:12-38:18 Chelsea and ownership within football & are the sanctions fair?
38:19-46:24 The rise of Arsenal & Arteta, and will Arsenal make the top four?
46:25-54:01 Is Conte right for Spurs? Will Kane leave the club?
54:02-1:07:52 Liverpool vs Manchester City, who will win the league?
1:07:53-1:20:42 Could Everton or Leeds go down?

Getting top 4 to compete for titles is a massive step. Arteta can get us top 4 but I dont think arteta has the ability to take us to the next level (winning titles and CL). Gary is spot on. It reminds me a lot of Man Utd more than liverpool. United dropped their standards and the fans was getting behind the team. With Liverpool, not only did they have a world class manager, but also made the best recruitment. Yes top 4 is as step the right direction but lets not forget we were consistently in the top 4 when Wenger was in charge but could not get past the round of 16 in the champions league.

Feedback: - Great show for the most part. But would it be possible to do a part 2 to talk about the other clubs in the league? I'm an Everton fan and delighted to hear about my team, even though we're terrible at the moment. But it would have been nice to hear from a Burnley, Watford or Norwich fan when it comes to relegation. Or even a Brentford fan since they aren't safe yet. I don't think Southampton, Brighton, and some others even got mentioned during the entire hour and a half. Wolves got a passing mention and they've been one of the talking points of the season. Also what about West Ham and the job Moyes has done? Again, it's been 27 minutes on Man Utd (which is an interesting topic, don't get me wrong) and then nothing on other clubs. There are 20 teams in this league. Try to talk about all of them, even if it is only a few minutes. Also lastly, a longer Q&A, please. Overall I actually think you need two 1.5 hour videos of content to cover the whole league. Spread out the big clubs across both videos to guarantee views. Though football fans are football fans. We eat this up regardless. Either way, love the videos, please keep them coming. And the trio of Nev, Keane, Carra is the best so far. But if you know someone else to throw a spanner in the works and add a bit of extra banter would be good. Also preferably not Utd or Liverpool influence. Anyway cheers, take it easy.

The mutual respect between 2 'hard' men of football that Keane & Vieira have is as a football fan absolutely beautiful to see. Naturally being a United supporter i HATED Vieira back in the day but that was because he was the main man on our biggest rival but always had respect and fear for this talents.

Also love it to be a more inclusive argument like have all 20 teams equally debated and even championship.

it's probably why Neville failed as a manager and sacks managers at Salford even if they're making progress. Then there was his continually embarrassing belief that Solskjaer was good enough for the job. He just doesn't seem to understand what the role of manager/ head coach requires.

He's obviously a millionaire as a presenter at Sky Sports but he's courageous enough to raise the important questions and speak up for working class fans. Football is heading into very dark places unless we get the big changes that he's demanding.

Gary somehow has to find a way to meddle united into a conversation that includes Everton. Gosh that's too biased.
The Spurs fan feels insecure as he supports the only team in the so called big 6 NOT TO HAVE WON A TITLE for a million years.
The Everton fan is class act. I just pray his team finds a way to stay up under Lampard.
Jamie is my favorite, his one liners are great, he's the only person that can keep Gary and his united "superiority complex" in check.
And I love Roy, an absolute gem of a pundit. Doesn't need to talk all the time to pass a point. He almost always hits the nail right on the head.
