Gary got it spot on about the Liverpool ownership, their shortcomings have been masked by Klopp. Carra and Paul the Liverpool fan are defending them for whatever reason, but we're in for some tough times when Klopp leaves us.

5:16 what we saw at the world cup is that first few games where teams were wasting time, the time got added on properly and eventually all teams stopped wasting time uselessly and therefore the extra time minutes came down a bit. I reckon similar will happen in PL

@@nextgenkilla7645They need a set time for goal kicks, corners, celebrations, subs, throw ins etc. If say we give keepers 10s to take goal kicks and someone takes 30s, the difference is added on (20s).
There has to be consequences for time wasting but you’re right, not everything needs to be added.
The fairest way is to have a game clock like the NBA but it wIll cost money and manpower.

Foden is England's Dybala. Nobody knows where to put them and they are both amazing players. Players like that are a coach's best friend on the bench. Perfect players to fill in at more then 1 or 2 positions. Why would you play those players and keep your better one dimensional players on the bench. I would want choices towards the end of the game. Some players play themselves into these types of roles. It's a shame but also a compliment of how dynamic certain players are.

An excellent Premier league overview on the overlap. Looking forward to the 2023-2024 season. I see a 4 team race for the title this year as Man city, although a great team, are not as strong as they were last year. Liverpool, Arsenal and Man United will challenge. I love the underdog so Luton home games are going to be a highlight, especially if they win one or two. As for relegation, I see, Wolverhampton, Sheffield and Luton going down. Bring it on...watching from Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

To add to Nick's tale of woe, looks like Berge is leaving as well. What Paul Heckingbottom has done at SUFC given the off-field drama and uncertainty is an unbelievable achievement. I don't think he gets the recognition because he's not a big name like V.Kompany. Not often a promoted team start the season weaker than the prior season, so expect a tough time but you never know. Everyone wrote us off last time and we finished 9th first season...
Thankfully a couple of new people, still some media personalities not so much fans, but glad it’s freshened up.

Werner played a big part in Chelsea’s CL win too Jamie Carragher. If you are to use Havertz winning goal in the final to say he is good. You got to praise Werner for the role he played to get to the final and in the final. His pace was crucial. Can’t have been such a disaster since he started in the final.

As a Chelsea fan Havertz going to arsenal didn't bother me as he wasn't great at all. Very inconsistent and the fact that we got £70 million for him pretty much what we paid for him is incredible business by Chelsea!
Kovacic going to Manchester city was understandable. Don't get me wrong he is a fantastic player but he was very injury prone so you kinda understand it.
Kante going to Saudi Arabia again you can understand it. He is an absolute legend of the club but over the last 2 seasons he was becoming very injury prone and now starting to age aswell so it just made perfect sense to allow him to move on.
But Mason mount going to Manchester United was awful 😢 generally one of our best players over the last 2-3 seasons and going to a rival team aswell, yh that one hurt the most as a Chelsea supporter😥

Arsenal is a strange one... you always think they'll choke, but if they improve on last season they can challenge, but as with any season, we thought Liverpool would challenge the title last season, but things can change quickly. I do feel Arsenal can challenge, if everything clicks... if Rice and Partey click and dominate the midfield, and Odegaard continues that form of setting up goals after goal, if Martinellli continue to dominate that left wing same for Saka? yes Arsenal can dominate, will need Jesus to contribute with 20 goals, stay injury free, they have so much depth now as well in every position.
As for Havertz... I LOVED him at Leverkusen, he was a CAM they can make that defensive splitting pass, but suddenly at Chelsea he was a striker? Winger? not sure why. Havertz should be the #10 at Arsenal or false 9.

Absolutely spot on. The original idea was about debt and not allowing clubs in debt not to spend a certain % of that debt. They changed it to revenue coming in, this directly stopped any smaller clubs getting enough outside investment to ever challenge the likes of Utd, Arse, Live… City just about got through the door in time and landed Pep, but without him look who wins the league the last few years… the big 3 red clubs!
Rory is such a bellend. "the jury is not out on havertz". Like there never was a player that clicked in one team and sucked at another. I could list easily list 10 players that went to chelsea as potential world beaters and ended up going on loan the following summer.
Are people forgetting that they implemented this added on time rule in the world cup? Then after the group stages it went from 10+ minutes added on each game, too 5 or 6 because it cut down on time wasting. If in November it's still like this then yes it should be addressed but I think we should just see if it works and then go from there

The big problem for liverpool is the amount of players, who’s contracts will finish in 2025.
So at the end of this up comming season, liverpool will have to decide to sell the players, or keep them and let them go on a free at the end of the season after.
So not only do they need to buy players to replace the ones that have left this year, but they also need to buy, in the anticipation that a lot more will be sold next year and they’ll have the team experiance.
