Love your videos and garden tours!! The chunnel is so cool! Cute little chickens you have! I like the shade and perch area, and the treats the chickens get!!
The cilantro looks beautiful and bountiful laying over.
I am getting into flowers lately also, learning the different varieties.
Like the bags on the strawberries. I put them on tomatoes before to keep the leaf footed beetles off, the bugs left scarring on the tomatoes. Heard of a solution though. Branching sunflower, the sunflower attracts the bugs. I hope you can try a branching sunflower maybe in your wood hip area, or fence corner if you can find a spot. It keeps flowering most of the summer.
Thank you for sharing the information about the cleome, that it keeps flowering. I did not think it would, and was avoiding the plant. Will definitely grow it in the future!!
If you need to label a plant and keep the writing on, use a carpenter’s wax pencil from hardware store. It won’t fade.
Looking forward to a green doctors taste test!!
My sister is trying to buy a property in the country so we can have chickens, and a larger garden. Please cross your fingers for us! Thank you!!
Thank you for sharing your garden and information. Loving the hollyhocks and yarrow and shade giving comfrey!!
Please continue your videos and tours! They are great! Thank you so much!!!

Helllloooo!!!! Great to hear from you :) Thank you so much! I love to read your comments. You really help inspire me to continue!
That is a great idea on the wax pencil. I use a sharpie and it fully disappears by the end of the season.
Branching Sunflower sounds awesome! Is there a specific variety you can recommend? I've seen sunflowers with multiple blooms (instead of one main head) but I wasn't sure what they were exactly.
I actually did do Variety Spotlight on the Green Doctor tomato last year! It has a really cool back story. Check it out! czcams.com/video/6r1QyVE2a-o/video.htmlsi=uxoDuVDGPDqnrhfI
Fingers crossed that you get your sister gets that property!!! 🤞🏼
Thanks again and have a great rest of your week!

Hahahaha! Now I remember parts of the green doctor tomato video!!
I didn’t know there were branching sunflowers until I planted the Red Sun sunflower. Maybe, you still have time for it to flower. They had it at MIgardener and maybe Baker Creek. There are others, but some listed are pollenless. I know you want some beautiful bees on them.
Also on google it said you could pinch the sunflower to encourage more branching. I did not know that!
Mary, my sister got the property!! I will move in in a month or so. Growing plants in pots now.
      Just planted some zinnias.
If I get on Mary’s nerves, will spend the night in the chicken coop!!!
Anyways, we have lots to learn about chicken before getting any!!
Am weeding some raised beds there and will be planting there in the future!!
Can’t wait to see some more of your videos, taste testing, some chicken interviews!!! Jk
Thank you Inchworm Gardener. Please continue your great work and adventures!!

Hello. Thank you for the video. I'm in middle Tn as well, I'm just wondering if you have any issues with earwigs?🤢 If so, what's your solution? Thanks again for sharing your garden!!

Middle TN here as well. Our garden has been inundated with earwigs this month.

Hey neighbor! I do see earwigs around my yard but not really in the garden beds 🤔. Maybe they're doing more damage than I'm aware of! That said, I haven't done anything proactive to fight against them.
Here's an article I found that might be helpful! www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/insects/removing-earwigs-garden.htm

I really like Cleome. Seeds forever! I am curious to see how the purple tomato turns out.

Yes! Such a cool flower. The purple tomatoes are coming along nicely! Actually, one plant took a turn for the worse...but I have 2 more plant doing well. I will definitely do a spotlight video on that variety!

What??? No ground cherries??? Thought for sure you would have some , was it last year or the year before?

    • @inchwormgardens
      @inchwormgardens  Před 2 měsíci +1

Hey Deb! Good eye!! 😆 I've become spoiled with Ground cherries.... they are popping up in every single raised bed and container I have... I've kept about 6 plants total that are in good spots and pulled out the rest..
What I've come to learn with ground cherries is that 1 or 2 plants, spaced further apart are more productive than 10 plants packed in altogether!
So, I I have 3 or 4 plants growing in one of my front yard flower beds (the brick one that looks like a well, with the Dahlia flowers) and a couple more in my raised beds. I just didn't mention them on the video 😅
      Thanks for following along!!
