I am in Canada, zone 6 and have lots of these plants about 3-5 inches tall already. I can't wait to see them bloom and will collect the seeds for next year and let them self sow as well. Thank you for the "taste test" lol. I might put some blooms on a cake as a pretty topper. At least I know if my dogs get at them they won't get sick.

Hey there!! Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the taste test 😅. My kids loved eating the flowers... until my dog peed on the plants... woops! The joy of gardening with pets 😊 Best of luck to you in the garden!

I grew honeywort for the first time last year and was amazed when I found it growing in several of my raised beds a few weeks ago. My kind of plant!

Yess! Me too! Last year was my first time growing it and I have a surprise bed full of it now! I probably will never have to plant it again, haha.

Beautiful plants you have growing there in your video. I saw a nickname for honeywort is shrimp plant. Blue is favorite color, loving the flowers!!
So many different names, purple tear, kiwi blue, it’s a little confusing.
Thank you for this introduction. Hope to grow it this or next year

I wouldn't consider it invasive, no. It does drop a lot of seeds but they don't disperse very far and they can easily be plucked out or moved if needed. Give it a try!
