Just found your channel and binged-watched it yesterday while we were getting hit with wild weather here in Ohio! I absolutely love how you mention the taste of what you are harvesting. So many others miss that important detail! They just say "you must grow this" but don't say why! Anyway, I did not like the Orange Hat tomato at all, but it was fun to grow. My favorite is the Wild Boar Beauty King!! So delicious. Large yellow slicing tomato with swirls of green, red and pink on the inside. Low acid! Can't get enough of them. Trying the Pomodoro this year too so I can sun dry them! Thanks for all you do and stay awesome!
Wow!! Thank you so much for this. Sometimes it can feel like a chore to make these videos but hearing comments like this really inspire me to keep doing it! Thank you 🙏🏼. I've never heard of Pomodoro before. I'll have to check that one out. Beauty King looks amazing! I love Wild Boar Farms varieties. I will add that one to my list for next year. Thanks again and stay safe out there in Ohio!
We grew Super Sweet 100’s last year and it ended up being my favorite tomato. I would eat them nonstop in the garden, very few made it inside the house. lol. Be prepared, they make 100’s of tomatoes. I made a few vids/shorts about how much they produce and how great the taste was. Good luck growing. 👍🏻
I hope you can show your chickens and dogs sometime in the video and your cute children unless there is a problem with CZcams or the public with the kids. I understand.
While I do not believe it was that one, they have pulled a few varieties for more tests when one of their specialties tested positive for alterations. Having worked with them before through our own seed company, I expect it is a false positive, however for a while they will be extra careful with varieties that people may be suspicious of. Once they are able to identify why the test results came back the way they did, I expect to see most of the varieties returned.
Me too! The reason they pulled it is because they were concerned that the "Purple Galaxy" might have actually contained genetics from this patented (and GMO) variety called "The Purple Tomato" which was created by Norfolk Healthy Produce. As we know, Baker Creek is against any GMO products so they pulled it just to be safe. You can purchase seeds for the Purple Tomato from here if you'd like: www.norfolkhealthyproduce.com/. They are $20 a pack!
Yes, I agree. I love Baker Creek too and purchase most my seeds from them! I got to visit their headquarters in Missouri last year. It was a very cool to see!

Thank you for your awesome videos. My dad was poo poohing a green tomato, but he tasted it and liked it. He turned 87 in March.
Happy belated to your Pops!
We consume GMO crop byproducts almost every day. The purple galaxy should be interesting!
You're right about that! I can't wait to see the purple tomato for myself. Looks unreal!

Helloooo! The fam will make an appearance in an upcoming video for sure :) Thanks so much!
I had the galaxy tomato from Baker Creek on my wish list and then it went poof!
