ALVIN LEE The bluest blue REACTION Ft GEORGE HARRISON

George plays the slide on the first solo and Alvin plays the second solo. If you don't recognize his name he was in Ten Years After.
Alvin Lee is truly one of the greatest slide guitarist and blue singers. Like so many, he died too young. RIP Alvin
Slide guitar solo courtesy of George Harrison - also RIP
Hearing Alvin Lee play here reminds me of Gary Moore. Both are lost now. It's sad, but the music lives on for us to enjoy.
@@473mec Wow, yes. Gary Moore was an incredible guitar player and singer. RIP Gary. You are right, the music lives on and what powerful and unmatched music artistry they left us.
Can you believe that was our little Georgie on that monstrous lead! The Beatles structure was just too small a box for him to fit into, no aspersions thrown onto his Beatles work, but he was always under the tutelage of John and Paul, and really was never treated as the equal he was to both of them. Look what happens when Alvin Lee gives him the space-incredible!
Harrison's guitar can be spotted a mile away once you hear it enough. Never a wrong move. Similar to Ringo's drums. Somehow I've missed this one for decades, never knew about it. Thanks Harri! I'd buy you a brewski if we lived on the same continent. ;)
Have you heard of Snowy White? His song Midnight Blues would be right up your alley.
One of my absolute favorite blues performances! Fabulous!
George and Alvin were neighbors and hung out a lot.
Debbie - This submission choice is terrific, as were, of course, Alvin Lee and George Harrison. Five-start submission from me. Thank you, Debbie and Harri.
🎄🌺🎄
What a jewel of a piece of music! Alvin Lee and Harrison; Who would have thought so?
I just get goosebumps whenever I hear this R.I.P. Alvin & George
You've completely blown my mind with this one Harri! Can't even believe these two guitarists together, and it's off the charts gorgeous! Thank you Debbi and Harri for bringing happiness and joy back into my life after a hard 10+ hr shift today!!!!!!!
Debbi and Harri. Calls for a Blondie!
This is one of the best "newer" blues numbers. Alvin was one helluva guitarist. You need to watch his old concert videos...I think it was at one of Filmore arenas. And keep an eye on the bass player. Yikes. Sure you can watch his Woodstock performance, but these are not edited for a movie.
Harrison and Alvin playing with such depth of feeling and a searing outro solo that strays in the memory forever, a modern blues classic that will never get old.
From "Nineteen Ninety Four" 1994, this is one of the most heart wretching blues tune. 😢😢
Alvin, known as the fastest guitarist in the West who stole the show at
Woodstock, while a member of Ten Years After.
George and Alvin recorded George's song " So Sad" in 1973, after they met in a pub and became friends.
This duet performance is so captivating, with George's solo on the slide guitar mind blowing and beyond brilliant. Alvin who was a precursor to shred style that developed during the 80's, absolutely blazes on this masterpiece, pulling your heart out.
The vocals so lovely. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Debbie. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
🎄🎅🎄✌️
@debbiechang5781 Merry Christmas to you and your family Debbie. Hope you have a wonderful day. 🎄🎄🎅🎅⛄️⛄️❄️❄️🇨🇦❤️🇺🇲🥰🥰
Wasn't it Mylon who met George in the pub? And then brought George, Boz Burrell, Steve Winwood, Ian Wallace, Mike Patto and Jim Capaldi to Alvin's House/Studio at Hookend Manor? I thought Alvin's friendship with George started from there? Or am I mistaken?
@@mor4725 You could be right, going on my old memory or not. Lol 👍✌️🎶🇨🇦
His I’m going Home live at Woodstock with Ten Years After is phenomenal 🎸
Harri, I love watching your facial expressions. My ears go to heaven when I hear this song. RIP George and Alvin. Thanks Harri 🎄🌺🎄✌️
Thank you for this Debbie!
I have never heard this before!
I agree. Having solos by two such fabulous guitarists in the same song should almost be illegal. Kudos to that drummer, too. Fabulous performance!
Bravo! "I felt sorry for that guitar." Classic reaction, Harri! Thanks to you and Debbie.
🎄✌️
This may be the greatest song I never heard.
Wow! Debbie Chang! Great choice!! Way to let the boys play their axes, Harri ... first time listening for me .. loved every minute of it ..
🎄🌺🎄
Lee and Harrison were neighbors. The guitar work is not all Harrison, though. Lee was a tremendous player.
Love the song 🥰Fantastic 💯💥 Harri always a joy to see your joy ❤🤩
This performance is amazing. I can't describe the feeling.
Great production around a very good song.
What a fantastic song Alvin Lee is great. Thank you Debbie and have a very happy holiday and great reaction Harri.

Hello from your newest subscriber.
You listened to FRED NEIL
"Dolfins" a while back, He is such an important musician he deserves more attention.
Not only was he a top notch writer, singer, player, poet, but
half of the folks you put on your show watched him perform in order to learn how to do it.
He put Dylan on stage for the first time, along with dozens more.
Rock on.
I like the piano 🎹 in the 1st song
semplicemente grandioso!!
Outstanding. I had not heard this before. It reminds me of the Super Session album featuring Al Cooper, Mike Bloomfield and Stephen Stills, which you might want to check out.
1944. 12.19. ALVIN Birthday. /R.I.P./❤🍉🌹
If you like this song , you should give "Loan me a Dime" by Boz Skaggs .
More soulful blues for you Harri. (and mebbe Billy's best vocal...)
