Strangely enough I used to hate my nose shape, size etc so I was gearing up to get a nose surgery but then my friend recommended me to get a septum piercing and now I bloody love my nose.
Take 12mm its standard always preferable.

Oh my goodness, it hurt to hear you say you’re self conscious about how your nose looks... I think you are incredibly gorgeous!! Also I have a similar nose shape and just bought the Toledo clicker from Spirit Adornments. It’s on the bigger, more ornate side of things, but I think it suits our kind of nose so beautifully :)

I absolutely love captive bead rings. I actually have mine stretched to an 8g, and my biggest piece of advice is to get a pair of ring openers or go to your piercer and have the ring opened up enough that the bead falls out and it'll just pop in and out soooo easy.
I've inherited my dad's native Nicaraguan features and I'm trying to find some septum jewellery to sort of pay a homage to my roots. I've not owned any real statement pieces yet, not sure what to go for!

This is a great video, I got my septum pierced when i was in 7th grade and stopped wearing it around 10th or so because all the rings i thought were no longer flattering on my face, the key for me is a small diameter. I don't even have to wear anything in the hole anymore though it's always open now which is cool if i ever want the option again.

6mm is perfect for my nose I have a in between nose lol so it's far enough out that it doesn't look like boogers but big enough to go around my nose. I can't wait to be able to change mine ! Mines at week one rn. So little more to go ! I really like the clickers.

great video! currently i have my septum piercing at 6g, for work i'm an entrepreneur and i can't go to clients, banks and institution with big septum ring ahahah for everyday life i like to wear a straight barbell without ends, very comfy. my favourite jewelry are tusk and spikes btw, wood, stone and bone!

You're so kind - thank you! I was just admiring a beautiful woman and her septum jewelry yesterday with a nose similar to how you describe yours. She was wearing a small diameter (like probably a 7 or 8mm, 16g) yellow or rose gold clicker. Simple, elegant and beautiful! The gold really complimented her skin tone and the small, simple ring was just so perfect for her lovely nose shape. Maybe somewhere to start? You can get both rose gold and yellow gold titanium or stainless steel clickers on Amazon for around $9 so you can test them out and see how you like the style Hope this helps!

there are many of really mindblowing pieces out there, but some are crazy expensive...i was able to let my jewelry dream come true recently and ordered the 14k white gold wanderlust clicker from maya jewelry wich i‘ll get in december and wanted for years...i spend a fortune on it but for me its soooo worth it 😍😍

I just got mine done a week ago.. I am not sure if it suits me. The large horseshoe is not my thing what so ever. So I wear it hidden all the time... I am waiting for it to heal and change to a smaller one.
Another video I watched about different jewellery for septums said that clickers are a bitch to put on 🤔 I guess the shape of your nose can affect that. But thank you for this video, gave me ideas for what I might want for this when it's healed!
Also, my sweet spot was very small, and I wanted the piercing to be 1,6mm instead of 1,2mm as well, so the piercer straight up said that she very well may have to go through cartilage and made sure I still want it done. It hurt a lot when the needle went through, but since then there has been pretty much no pain at all unless I bump my nose with my hand or blow my nose and forget to be mindful of the septum, so I'm not sure if the needle went through cartilage or not... I got a helix done at the same time and I already had one helix, tragus and an industrial beforehand, and my septum doesn't feel like the cartilage piercings.
I no a small horse shoe one or seamless would look amazing with my nose ugh want so bad

Weird. Everyone I know who has gotten a septum except maybe one said their septum was one of the most painful. And these are people who have a lot. However I also didn't feel really any pain at all either

I got mine just 10 days ago and honestly I just felt great discomfort the very first day, like needle pinching pain every time I smiled or opened my mouth too much, even when I blew a kiss it hurt. Right now only if I put pressure on the ball or the bridge of my nose, I was actually able to flip it back and forth without pain since 2 days ago (won't be doing it often to avoid infection risks). I'm loving my piercing and my experience so far :D
