- This week our metal detecting adventures take us to a house we barely scratched the surface on last week, a beautiful 1690's gem tucked deep back off the road. We had a few hours to search the week before to try and get the lay of the land so this week we had a pretty good idea on where to start. We had to battle the 97degree temperatures all day long but to get the good stuff that's a small price to pay! So let's fire up the machine and see how we do!

This is my favorite metal detecting show on CZcams you guys are
So fun...I look so forward to Tuesdays!
The History hiding under the ground on that property has to be and is Incredible its Amazing
My favorite part of “the battle of the buttons” is finding out who has the bigger shaft.
Are you talking,, buttons Suzy?
You wouldn't be implying guys have detector ego issues too? I can hear all the detectorists with a lesser machine saying it's not the size of the shaft but how you're swinging it lol. Then again if your hunting great sites with a lesser machine you're more likely used to getting the shaft lol
Not all guys want to find the most or the biggest we would rather have the rarest or most scarce. Coming from dectorists who gave up using concentric coils for the bigger DD's lol
Just having some detecting humor from a fellow detecting "swinger".
@@sydkanten1600 absolutely! Each button has a shaft that is just perfect for the button. Some are strong by and stand up perfectly straight ⬆️ just like they did in their prime. Some might be just as strong but are short and stubby. 🔼Some may have lost their ability to be fully erect and now just lay there off to the side. ⤵️And some buttons have no shank at all. 🚫
It’s important to remember it’s not the shaft that makes the button special it’s the button itself.💘❤️🔥
@@Murphy7223 WoW! I hop there not going to be a quiz later on your post!? ;)
@@Murphy7223 🤣🤣🤣
Cool yard. The birds singing in the groves seem happy.
Nice Mercury dime Jason & Matt. Great Indian head cent Matt.
Not only are the finds amazing, but I am amazed at how quickly y’all just know what it is. Some great digging going on there. Thanks for taking us along.
After seeing your demonstration of the Perun 2 fashlight back sometime ago I knew I wanted one. They had a good sale on them so I snatched one up. That was about a year ago. Man I can`t believe how bright the 2000 lumes on that little thing is. I take that thing practically everywhere I go.lol
Rich’s first find is the central portion of what is known as a “Boyd’s Battery” I believe an old quack cure maybe??
Yep. Snake oil medicine. I've found two so far down here in South Louisiana.
Hello Quarter Hoarder and Dog tag Doug
Doug, looking good. You must be so proud.
The first thing was part of a Boyd's Battery. it's made of copper and silver parts and was marketed as a medical cure all.
You mean all this time it was you! I knew I recognized your voice from somewhere. My granddaughter used to watch Dora the explora. And all this time I thought you were Boots.
AWSOME Boyds Battery center piece ,Congratulations Rich on joining my Boyds Battery club lol
Would you ever consider doing a look at your current collection of things you've kept? Maybe if you got some displays of your finds. That would be pretty neat! Though I understand if privacy is a concern.
Perhaps a live. That would be awesome.
great to see you guys again looking forward to see your finds great stuff be safe guys
As always, love your vids Hoarder! Thanks for taking us on the hunt.
Another fun hunt! Silver always makes for a good day!!
You guys always have a lot of fun when I don't have so much to do I'm going to try my yard it's 1860 thank you for sharing five stars my friends
Awesome hunt on this one! The old locations are always exciting as soon as you show up!👍
the second find is a shawl clamp, and the other thing with the flower was a bottle cap for a long thin parfumglas bottle my mother had one✌️😄👌
Love the Mercs! Nice saves guys.
Enjoyed it as always. Doug's gotta be the best hunter in the group. A wealth of knowledge too!😄
Doug is awesome
That threaded piece looks like a plug I dug with a makers name on it. It is about that same diameter with those fine threads. Mine I ID'd my the makers mark and it is/was the plug to a pre war of 1812 powder keg made in Massachusetts and I dug it in South Jersey. The keg is extremely rare and it sold at an auction for 5 figures! I need to find a guy with the keg and missing the plug lol it's like a small gallon size wooded keg which is probably why the plug got lost. It couldn't hurt trying to search the early colonial made powder kegs there can't be a ton on people making them in America in 1800-1810
Love Rich's shirt. I have one that says Over It.
That button around 23.10 looks like a button that came off a chair. Remember the brass tack buttons that lined the edging of arms and backs of good naugahyde chairs. Think that was one of those brass tacks.
I believe what Matt found is the center cap of a tricycle wheel.
10:55 is a cap from a small container used to keep a fake cosmetic mole. Victorian ladies would place one on their faces for cosmetic effect. They didn't have or use a lot of makeup but the mole was the fashion rage.
Rich's second find look like part of a fancy horse bridle. And the fact you said it used to be a carriage house I am all most certain.
The second flower thingie looks like it could have been some type of scarf slide. Maybe.
I think the round ring was a clip on
Thanks @Quarterhoarder for helping me get my new metal detector. I love the legend and also got the Garrett pinpointed. But I just got in the extended battery for the legend. It is awesome to not dig up everything that beeps.
The first item found that looked like a flower was a modern spur rowel.
Hi. The flower that was not magnetic, in the beginning, looks like a scarf clip. Love your hunts. 👏👏👏 Stay Safe. Stay Healthy. Happy Hunting. ❤❤❤
All the hoover boys should get equal pay metal detecting. Plus promotion for Separate channels. Bottles, arrowheads, estate sales or whatever they are into. They all deserve it!
Nice hunt guys!
Great finds in that yard everyone!! You should call him "Muscles Matt". ☺️😁
Rich's first find is a clip on ear ring for an elephant.
Nice Merc day guys! Nice lock Doug! I enjoy you all very much.
Great Digs!
"I'm the Map" Made me laugh... That was funny. Well done boys!
the flower thing is definitely for a scarf
It was an arrow going thru the heart.
Awesome hunt Gents !!
Those are some great finds guys..thanks for sharing..till next time stay safe n happy hunting
Thanks for the video.
Loving it guys. Y'all always pulling great stuff.
Awesome history , thank you for sharing
Thanks for the latest detecting video at a 1690’s house. You even got a free lunch too!! Also some great finds!!!
I was hoping for a 1916 D mercury DIME. 🙂It looks like they probably have their yard TREATED and that might be what's eating up the coins.😎🦊
Awesome guys!!! cool finds!! Best wishes!!
Hey I recognize that coin it is brads bottom off of the Hoover boys smooth
Great Video!!! Awesome finds!!
That is so funny I was thinking about that old show just yesterday. Dora was one of my son's, first crush.
Was just thinking where are the largies? And boom there it is.
Awesome video ! Congratulation for all ya`ll finds ! Good luck and best wishes on ya`ll next hunt !
Another awesome video guys. Cool looking coins and relics.
Cool video Jason. Hey Doug, great finds. I loved that lock.
Awesome finds guys another awesome hunt brotha keep it up can't wait to see the next one hh
Good hunt guys I enjoyed it, catch you on the next one. 🇺🇸
Great video love the content 👍
Hey jason. Good to see you. Keep on keeping on
ANOTHER WONDERFUL DAY
You guys always fine great stuff
Dora the explorer just gave me a Barney the Purple Dinosaur theme song flashback ugh. And I do remember the song but I'm not singing it lol.
That was a nice hunt site in the shade and hitting targets. I love the color that these old copper or brass relics look after the dirt gets cleaned off of them
Doug I have the same type of green shorts. I can’t find them anymore, I bought mine at a thrift store years ago. Awesome finds and enjoyed watching fellas.
Good finds
Nice finds guys keep up the great content 👍
Nice hunt again Guys Congrats 👊
15:50 cap to an oil lamp font. Nice find!
It’s all luck being at the right place at the right time.
I think the relic you found with a clip looks like it may be a scarf slide for a lady.
That permission was definitely good to you all. Some nice coins and relics on the day guys. Happy hunting and be well
Looks like a scarf clip your second find that is .
Is the lead heart maybe the backing of a Civil War era martingale? (Horse tack-Breast straps attached to the saddle). Many Union Calvary martingales had a heart shaped center piece about that size. I hope he checked the hole and surrounding area well.
I agree thats exactly what it is
Love Tuesdays🌵🌵🌵🌵
New episode awesome
Oh what I wouldn’t give to detect a house that old!!!!
Great video, wish I could get a permission like that. Great catch guys
New sub ! Liked 😀😄
That tiny button looks like a shoe button.
Just at the beginning of this vid here in Delaware there are d sad o many spots 17 century all over in old farmland you guys should visit
@@dogtagdoug6751 I will see what I can do
Rich’s second find is a clip on ear ring.
Some older mercs in there👍
I believe the heart is a martingale….
the US went thru a recession in the 1870's , and the mint cut down on coinage, during those years!
What a great hunt! Love the early Mercs! Keep up the great hunts fellas! (Oh by the way..I think you guys were hacked) Hello Doug!!!
Possibly a cap for an oil lamp.
Nice silvers bout the rest all destroy but very nice video as always 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
More fun with the boys. (algorithm comment)
The piece with the flower and threaded may be a top of a cane or an umbrella shaft?
A scarf holder, I think
OIL,I LAUGHED MY A$$ OFF!!!!!!
The first relic was the inside of a Boyd’s Battery from the late 1800’s
Doug’s got a heart of lead..lol Just kidding
Hey Rich I see you found a lucky charm so magically delicious. Shame it isn't still frosted. :) LOL Hoarder don't give up your day job. I thought someone was strangling a cat then I realized it was you singing. My poor ears. LMAO
The one in the back with a circle is a clip to hold a shawl or scarf
I think the flower with the round clip is a button cover. ?
It's like having someone watch you work on there car
Great finds guys .and just imagine how much silver and Cooper coins are still in the ground all over America.
As hard as it seems to believe but the number of coins lost is staggering. When I was 16 back in 1979 my dad got me a detector trying to get me to hunt with him instead of chasing girls all the time or being a nut on my dirtbike. Like most 16 year old teens I went about 3 times and started to lose interest because of all the relics which as a teenager you could care less about (at first). When I didn't want to go because he always found old coins and I dug big lantern parts or mason jar lids or ox knobs he told me to slow it down and dig every sound not just screamers because he said there's at least 50 old coins laying around this old farm. I thought he was tricking me and planting coins so I would stay interested because I started digging some old coins and my very first ever being a NJ Copper! When I said I think you put that there for me to find and he swore he didn't I said then how do you know there are 50 coins laying around here. He said this farm is over 200 years old. If only 1 coin was lost ever 4 years which is reasonable to believe 5hen there has to be 50 coins laying around "somewhere" so if you really want them go find them. And 40 years later I can probably still go squeek out a coin off of that farm that I probably hit 50 times and I have even brought my daughter's detecting there almost 25 years after I first hit this one particular farm. To squash anybody's theory that these guys don't really find that much I know 100% they absolutely do. The irony is I live pretty close to a lot of the places they hunt and I've even hunted a few of the fields they have. At first I recognized the power lines and know the street traffic noise as pretty busy highways run through a few of these huge colonial era homesteads. I won't disclose where these guys hunt because I wouldn't want anyone doing it to me. One day I hope to spot them because I would most likely stop, say high, introduce myself and wish them luck. One thing I have to say is you have to dig so much crap because there is so many good metal targets i.e. copper and brass. With that said I give Doug serious credit watching him be the first to turn the detector on and be the last guy swinging 8 hours and probably 100 holes dug later. He reminds me so much of my father who was much older then Doug and no longer with us but damn he was a hunting machine as is Dog Tag Doug. Sorry about the essay I got caught up in the memories
@@jeanponce2017 doug is a great guy he even responded to some of my comments before. Its Good to have good memories of good old times and making new ones . They had a good day with silvers.
