- All that is left is the cellar hole and the relics from this home that burnt down 100 years ago. We are metal detecting this site and relic hunting to see what we can find in the ground around where the house was. We actually found a lot of old stuff and most of it from the 1800s in the dirt . With so much history at this old New England farm you know there are old things to be found. Old buttons, tools, coins and glass bottles are some of the finds we got just picking around in the junk sheet metal. Relic hunting at a place like this that goes back to the 1700s is very interesting and great to see the stone walls all around the farm. A lot of the old stuff was not even that deep in the ground we found.

Metal detecting where a house burnt down 100 years ago - Zábava
With all the nails, would be worth while to have a handheld magnet to swirl around in the dirt to grab all the "pesky" nails to reveal the good stuff.🌞
Good idea...we were thinking about that considering all those pesky nails
The red glass could have been a decanter stopper!
Could the red glass thing have been the stopper to a bottle? The small end would have probably had cork over it.
Interesting site, happy you went there. I am thinking the same as mamm7223, the red glass may be a stopper. An unusual one, at that.
WOW that red solid glass is beautiful. I'd make that into an ornament out of it. All those finds in one spot impressive. Waynos found some great stuff too. It pays to dig every signal. Loved the video😊
So my friend is a glass blower. That piece of glass you found is called a pontil rod. This piece of glass is broken from the pontil that they used to blow the bottle or whatever was being made. At least I have a pretty good idea thats what it is. Happy Hunting!
Those square things look like they fit on the bottom as "legs" to keep an item from sitting flat on a counter or table. The 4 round parts would do the actual lifting. When you turned it over it looked to me like the underside would fit against the item and that the side tabs would bend up to hold it in place.
Thank you Charlie and Waynos for the adventure and seeing some amazing finds !
It is said that it requires gold to make red glass. Pretty. The child’s play pitcher is a delight. Interesting bits of the past.
Enjoyed this Thursday's episode. 👍
Waynos's find between the 6 and 7 minute mark. Reminded me of a handle from a old potato peeler. Lol Awesome video guys!
That's a stopper to a very nice bottle.
Waynos Looks like You've dropped a few pounds keep up the good work
Enjoyed the Burnt house finds from 100yrs back
Take Care Guys
At 7:00 could that be a peeler. Mom had an old one with a handle like that.
Keep on hunting.
Great finds Stealth Diggers. Mystery items abound. Thank you Charlie and Waynos. Joyce ❤️🙏🇺🇸
I'm guessing that the solid red glass piece was a decanter stopper from bottle of perfume, port wine, or ?
I love watching your channels Charlie!
Looked like a stopper
The red glass could be a lid to a bottle as in liquor bottle
Could that red thing have been a bottle plug of some kind? I love it when you open up the ground and just find things. Also Waynos, I have no clue or any ideas what that ornate thing you found was, but its cool.
Amazing finds today/I love that bottle and that solid piece of Red Glass you found.Any Idea What it is yet?
Good finds. Red glass might be top of perfume bottle, or the like.
Maybe the square things decorated the corners of a chest or box?
I believe that piece you dug up and you have no idea what it is but now you have one is actually part of a lantern where the wick comes up
Charlie at time marker 10:59 at bottom center screen was something round and looked flat like a coin or button !
I have a Fisher f19 got to love Fisher and technetics
That's a cool place to detect. Best wishes.
The red glass might part of a stopper to an early decanter Charlie
Hoping Dame is O.K. haven't seen him in a couple of weeks.
The handle that Waynos found kinds looks like a razor handle.
Nice hunt. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber. Nail spill, sounds like one of my hunts.
Awesome stuff guys!!
This is good detecting 😎👍🏻
Awesome finds !!!
Sweatshirt weather up there already😮
I've heard that Vicks Vapor Rub works pretty well repelling black flies and other biting pests.
Have you ever found a bearing? I have'nt and i have dug a lot.
Nice bit of Diggin
Could that red glass article be a custom shift knob for a jalopy?😂
Great fun thanks for sharing
Great day for you young man outdoors the fines are not bad. O where dame these days 👍
at 3:12 could that have been a bargain horse comb type thing? missing handle or strap
Pro metal detecting
Maybe go in there with a sifter and dig a plot
Another great video
Time to bring out the sifter and do an excavation.
Big time bro
I actually wonder if that piece that you found is the insert to a handle to in a escutcheon on a drawer
Are those sides to a small padlock?
6:36 maybe an old temp gauge?
Look at 4:23 ~ Berd or Pigeon or Eagle ? Do u see it ?
I'm thinking a two-piece military button.
I'm surprised you don't tare up a lot of things the way you use that shovel
Actually that dime ended up under that rock because my buddies and me were up there a couple months ago and we were camping out doing shrooms and drinking beer so we decided to play some beer pong but nobody had a ping pong ball on them so......
Buenos I got your six brother.
I think rubber buttons go back to the middle 1800's.
How does one go about getting permission to dig on property that has been vacant since the unfortunate fire so long ago?
Go to your local town hall and look at the tax map...that gives you the landowners name...then introduce yourself and ask
👍
could have been the handle of a potato peeler
At 3:22 a colonial cell phone case.
where is Dame
I miss him.
A few years back, your detectors were picking up a bunch of tiny tiny metal disc that were spread out over the area you were working. Have you ever figured out what those disc were?
They were nail head caps unfortunately...but they sounded great lol
