- Disney Marvel continue to go downhill with many of their latest films flopping from The Marvels being the biggest flop in MCU history, and now Deadpool 3 already getting some negative reports including Ryan Reynolds being angry with plot details around Deadpool 3 leaking from on set, which seemingly could be from a marvel staff member, meaning that Marvel is leaking these details. I have a theory that Disney Marvel may be leaking Deadpool information to build hype for the film but it doesn't seem to be working as fans are unhappy with some of the details and Ryan Reynolds is now also angry. Either way things once again don't look good for Disney and Marvel studios.

Part of the genius of DeadPool was that it didn't rely on hugely popular characters & it actually pissed him off. Then you get a fleeting shot of a bunch of them which he doesn't see. That's absolute quality right there. Less was sooo much more rewarding. Pumping all the big names into won't help at all.
Yes! Great call-out! That was brilliant comedy right there. It's absolutely perfect. The fans got their OMG cameo moment, and it was written perfectly into the scene. And that was it. They didn't lean on it or use it later in the movie for clout. Just one moment, perfectly placed. Easily one of my favorite scenes from DP2 overall.
In the comics, it's the relatablility of the character. The comics actually constantly introduce higher tier, more powerful superheroes and villians and Deadpool spends most issues running for his life from them.

Disney cannot help but destroy any project they attach to the MCU. Their writers, directors and producers pretty much ran out of creative steam at the conclusion of phase3 and so from that point on, everything they've been putting out were colorful but vapid stories about made up social injustices masked as inter-dimensional nonsense. It is insulting to be scammed into watching a movie only to find out it was made for the mentally challenged audience who cannot digest videos in excess of 1 minute. Chop up all those crummy phase 4 movies into 1 minute chunks and throw them into tiktok where they can probably make more money

While I agree with your assessment, I disagree with Jesse's conclusion that the leaks are going to kill Deadpool's chances of success, because fans know that the latest installment is going to interconnect with the greater MCU multiverse timeline. Wasn't the first thing Disney announced about Deadpool 3 that it would be rated R? It wouldn't even be the first rated R movie they've produced. They actually do have a history of producing R rated movies through the various companies they've conquered over the years. They own Fox and Hulu, which means you're technically seeing rated R content produced by pretty frequently. Touchstone was also a pretty popular way for them to put that kinda stuff out and keep the Disney tag off it. Disney loves exploiting loopholes to keep it's image squeaky clean. Because at the end of the day, they don't actually have principles, they just want you to think they do so they can continue focusing on what they truly value most, exploiting people for money.
Remember the same PR/Marketing team gave R Zegler the talking points that make us loath her now. The ROT in Disney sits in corporate and the supporting corporate functions AND the leaders who established this agenda driven POV.
ESG scores are the cause of this, its all about how much money they can borrow dawg 🤣🤣
Despite Fox being bought by Disney, Deadpool 3 should’ve remained in the X-Men continuity and also Ryan be allowed full creative freedom to tell whatever story and jokes he wanted. Including making fun of Disney themselves. Deadpool being censored jokes wise doesn’t do justice to his character.

@@georgeolteanu4289 that is true. It all depends on if it REALLY flops. We have seen such in other franchises. Especially if the studio is financially pressed by others. But of course you are right in that it’s a strong IP outside of the movies by itself.
If we look at Disney that is doing this. After the failure of the Han Solo Star Wars Movie they actually stopped and went to series production.
Problem with Deadpool is that 1 and 2 had a bit different tone compared to MCU. If they change that tone it’s risky if they don’t change that tone it’s also risky.
This is the typical mess when big companies buy valuable IP for a lot of money but have problem understanding and handling how to integrate it into their other IP portfolio.
Personally I think this movie is going to do better than other Disney / Marvel movies
We as Deadpool fan just need to support it. Like some say they don’t want to support it due to Disney but then they also need to accept that it might stop chances of a DP4. It’s like hell or hell. We might never get new DP movies with the same tone as the first two but on the other hand we need to decide if we are ok with more Disneyfied DP movies or none at all.

I will wait to see the reviews before I go to see this film. In the past I would have pre-booked cinema tickets in advance to see Deadpool but with Disney running the show , I can't see this film being any good.

Disney doesn't need to dump fake leaks online to build up hype for Deadpool 3. They already had Deadpool and Ryan Reynolds fans hooked with the announcement that they got Hugh Jackman to come back as Wolverine in the movie. That, alone, will put butts in seats, especially among the fans who know about the bromance/friendly rivalry that Hugh and Ryan have with each other in real life.

What if it's like a fake leak and it's a big plan to throw viewers off and not being expecting the actual plot of the movie
Essentially they know that Deadpool will do well so they’re hyping up the movie as much as they can and giving leaks so then afterwards people will hopefully stick around for what’s next. The way it’s going though they know that they will win the battle with the fans for Deadpool 3 and they will lose the war with retaining relevance with the MCU afterwards.
This is literally the complete opposite of how I feel about this movie, how my MCU fan friends feel, and how most of the social media I've seen seemingly feels about this upcoming movie.

I think it can work. We don't know why the film has all these connections. They could be there solely for satirical purposes. If the first DP movie was a satire of superhero movies in general, the second was about superhero teamups, then the third could absolutely be a satire on superhero fatigue/content overload. If that's the direction they're going, then it could absolutely be as great as the first two. But if that stuff is in there just because Disney want to connect it to the wider MCU, then yeah, it won't be that good.

Everything Disney does is a bait-and-switch now. EVERYTHING. Of course Disney wants you to THINK this is a 'classic Deadpool' movie. That's the bait. If you don't know that the switch is coming by now, you DESERVE the switch.
I dunno.. I have faith in Ryan Reynolds recovering this - his unique breaking the fourth wall narrative could be absolute gold if he takes the opportunity to mercilessly send up the MCU. I remain hopeful.

No way home did not well because it was so different. It did well because of all the connections and cameos it had and Deadpool 3 will probably go in a similar direction. So i am very hopeful for the movie.

I disagree with you about people not caring of the MCU.. The real problem was those shows they put out on Disney+ overall being lackluster on the grand scheme.

In the comics, series had different takes on the characters and world, which is the opposite of this requirement for everything to be aligned in a single mold, MCU and the Multiverse.
They killed the Avengers when they introduced guardians of the Galaxy into the hero universe.

Domino was a likable character in 2. She wasn't all "girl power!" like lame ass Captain Marvel. She was just an entertaining sidekick. Fit right in with the goofball squad.

The problem is that instead having a few character movie and then a big cross-over movie, they now have like a dozen TV shows and a movie in-between and unless you are caught up on all that you got no idea what the fuck is going on.
