      it's both right and wrong at the same time

    • @azizlab3751
      @azizlab3751 Před 3 lety +32

      WRONG as he was young and there were snakes around him who polluted his mind and created a bridge between his and his mother and it was much easiar as kosem wasn't her real mother and besides she used to arrange divan besides she could've just clarified the reasons herself but that's ok she actually couldn't think that way as she believed that no matter what osman still won't kill any of his brother he may lock them or whatever but not KILL eventhough that's worse than killing. And also he only killed mehmed as he was very cunning, selfish and narrow-minded so even if her mother dosen't do anything he will surely harm in someway or another since the jenissharies prefered him more and as kosem also had connection with them so he really couldn't help doubting them. Also he thought if her mother can dethrone his uncle mustafa she can dethrone him too eventhough wouldn't kill him just lock him which was worse and he knew it since he saw his uncle mistafa go crazy due to being half of his life. at that time he really thought like "ascend the throne/die/get psycho."

    • @azizlab3751
      @azizlab3751 Před 3 lety +14

      RIGHT as kosem was still kind-hearted and just and he could see that eventhough halima sultana exhale her and tried to kill her all sons she still forgave her son's life and HER own life too eventthough sultan mustafa was locked in a room as he saw this he should'bve belived on her mother who was always there for her and besides she was the one to put mustafa. Eventhough just seeing his uncle mustafa take-over the throne insted of him made him so anxious at her mother that he tried to do some conspiracy against her and mehmed. And even after killing mehmed he did'nt stop rather exhaled kosem even when bane of winter came he still didn't wanted to even concider their situation.

    What would have made 2:20 onwards a more compelling and intense scene - if Osman and Mehmet looked at each other in acknowledgement they were family and they need to protect their family. Even just a brief look - it makes the shot of osman, mehmed and murad more intense. Murads shot of hate and loathing in his face at what the guards are doing to his siblings is so beautiful, a child who saw first hand - later leading to what became murad in later episodes.
    Honestly this scene and series is amazing, I don’t know Turkish and I am so drawn in, the acting is amazing and the music is just divine.

      @alyssabria Před 2 lety +2

      But it was his mother’s fault for why he got locked up. Ahmed loved his siblings and would never kill them. Halime tried to dethrone Ahmed just so her son can be on the throne. She wanted power and if she have let things be without plotting, Mustafa would be mentally stable and had lived a long life. Also a technical note, after his nephews were born, he was no longer supposed to be next in line for the throne anyways. After Ahmed’s death, Osman was supposed to be next in line and honestly he should have but the council voted in favor of Mustafa even though because of his conditions, his mother made all of the decisions. If you aren’t able to make decisions for yourself then you shouldn’t be making decisions for others.

    This is the part of the Ottoman empire that I believe Allah made them fall over. The killing of innocent children and young men for the throne surely displeased Allah and he gave them much time to correct but they did not and so Allah brought them down. I look at the end of the video and I wonder, how could those three people, them being Halime, Dilruba, and Davut, be so spiteful towards one person? Yes, they've been roughing it since the first episode, but how is that an excuse to inflict their pain on others simply because they have something they don't? Who are they to judge others for what they've done? They've caused enough mayhem and mischief to last a lifetime, and they get angry when someone finally takes them to task for it? Talk about a bunch of hateful, egotistical, and spiteful hypocrites. Just like everyone else, they got what was already a long time coming and then some and the world will only get better without them.

      Sadly, this law help save the Empire form ruins and civil wars, even though I think it’s wrong and hate that they did that I also understand from their perspective why they created that law. I mean how many wars have we learned about in Europe and Asia that started because a brother or cousin wanted to be on the throne. There are to many wars to count and many kingdoms and dynasty’s fell into ruins as a result to the fighting. To the Ottomans this was the only solution that they believed worked the best.

      Because brothers fought for the throne and brought war to the land and the public suffered. Then the religious and legal authorities said it was okay for their only to be one heir left for the security of the country you were to execute your bother and nephews. It was a greater good thing. 1429. It stopped in 1601 or was meant to stop. The public was not thrilled after 19 princes, all very young were murdered. It just goes to show royalty should not govern.
