@@TsarOfRuss idk if he was her favorite son, but the reason she let him become a Sultan was because Kösem had a pure heart and she still wanted to be fair to Osman, since he was after all the oldest prince. She ignored all the dangers that could come with Osman being the Sultan because she truly believed that he wouldn’t kill his brothers. And she also loved Osman even though he wasn’t her biological son.

She deserved all of that and even more. She was a devil and a snake. Because of her died Valide Handan Sultan, Biyük Valide Safie Sultan, Fahrie Sultan, Halime Sultan, Dilruba Sultan, Mehmet, Osman, Bayazit, Murad, Ibrahim, Kasim, Farye, Gevherhan, Silahtar Mustafa Paşa, Yusuf Paşa. She was the reason of their death. So she deserved everything and even more.
She was the best actress in every season of magnificent century! She embodied kosem's role in a perfect way! You can't stop watching her with that fierce, kind, compassionate and fair character!

I have watched the scene of her finding Mehmet many times and I still cry 😢.....Osman has the nerve to blame his mother to make himself feel better than be shocked when she tells him he is no longer her son. Osman’s teacher was one of Safiye’s men and he’s been poisoning Osman’s mind and turning him against Kösem his whole life without Osman realizing it. Although the way he behaved as a Sultan is inexcusable and ungrateful. Still very sad that most of Kösem’s children died at a young age. But unfortunately there were a few Sultans that died at a reasonable ages. Mehmet for example died at 15 because of his brother and Osman died at 17 because the janissaries killed him (with good reason, he was just too cocky and thought he was God just because he was a Sultan - at least that’s the impression I got from him). Then Murad died at age 27, just like his father Ahmed l.
Kasim died at 24 and Ibrahim at 33.
Yeah the worst part is Osman trusted him so much that he even named his Son after him!!!
He pays for it all in the end.

Do you forgot what Kösem did to her own children and grandchildren she poisoned Murat, ordered to strangle Ibrahim and tried to poison her little 9 year old grandson Mehmet to dethrone him in fact she was very ambitious and always got a place beyond the sultans is this enough for her cruelty all this for her power and reputation!

Kosem should have learned from this, that she should never secretly control the ruling when her son Murad was the sultan, because no king would let anyone shadowing their reign, even their own mother. Instead, if she wanted to get involved in ruling and the state matters, she should have been like Turhan Sultan who openly did that with her son, Mehmed IV’s consents :(
It makes me feel so sad to think that the brothers who are left in Murad’s care are both killed by him in the future😢😢
