I love your videos, I have always played around with furniture, but never did it enough to get pro at it. You have helped me sell a few pieces, no great profit, just paid for a lot of materials that I needed to stock up on, good brushes and some chalk paint. Thank you. Hopefully my next project will be profitable.

@@salvagedbykscott So I have a piece that is exactly this shape/style but has a white Formica-like top to it not on the edge just the top....piece is in beautiful shape and was the childhood set of a wonderful friend of mine. And I want to preserve it. It has the gold edges to it. What do you suggest I do with the top? It has no cracks or chips in it. Just keep it on there? I have another piece of furniture I’m working on....and lemme say...not all pieces should be salvaged. This thing is making me grouchy and I wish I would have never picked it off the streets. 😂 A friend said....ah cut your losses? I guess I’m too stubborn.

Katie, I repainted the exact same Dixie dresser I picked up for $20.00. Only I sanded and stained the top and painted the body. It turned out lovely and sold quickly. Your dresser was a Very nice colour.
