- Someone in my neighbourhood put this dark old coffee table out for trash so I scooped it up and gave it a more modern makeover. I stripped the top and refinished it with a light and airy paint wash and then painted the base a bright off white. One person’s trash is another person’s awesome new furniture piece!

I think it’d be really cool if you made a segment on your channel where you view subscriber submissions to help them decide how to flip their own projects. I think you have a great eye for this sort of stuff, and I think people would love to hear your suggestions.

Beautiful! Thank you for respecting that beautiful wood grain and highlighting it. I cringe seeing so many furniture flippers paint over mother nature’s artwork.
I'm glad to see you kept the integrity of the wood grain on the top of the table. I think this adds more value than if the entire piece was covered in layers of paint. In the future, I suspect solid wood pieces will be harder to come by and natural wood or gently washed wood will be more appreciated than it is now.

Goodness, you knocked it out of the park on this one! I couldn't see where you were going with the stripping of the top and the paint choices until it all came together at the end. Then I was really inspired. Really lovely and what a transformation! Thanks for sharing your gift with all of us.
