    For those seeking a replacement for the battery, NPP NP12-2.6Ah is a good replacement.

    Hi, my bin cannot dispense new bag. Do you know what’s the problem? Already try cleaning the sensor inside the bin but still the same. It keeps sealing the bag and not dispensing new bag

    Where do I buy the correct battery like you are replacing?

      I grab battery from other trashcan that have broken motherboard - those are standard batteries so there should be no problem in ordering them online!

    Can i replace it by Lithium(Li-on) battery (3 cells) ?

    • @ElectronicNoobBlog

      Not without modifying charging circuitry and having BMS - at end of day (in my opinion) all that work without real benefit. If You really want lithium - maybe some kind of LiFePo4 drop in replacements.

    My townew has an issue. It charges and turns on, but it won’t seal. The bar that goes across the trash can to seal it stops about 1/4 of the way across the bin and goes no further. There is nothing blocking it, there is nothing in the trash can at all (except the trash can bags) and it’s totally clean. Do you think it could be the battery? I have it plugged in and it turns on and seems fine other than the fact it won’t do the jobs of self-sealing. :( If anyone can help, I’d appreciate it. I went through the effort of decorating it and making it look great so I really want to fix it.

      Did you get a fix?

    • @whitty042
      @whitty042 Před 2 dny

      @@denisberger7 nope. Not one email back. And I messaged all the emails listed on the Townew websites. I mean I got every country’s website that distributes it and sent an email. I messaged and got zero emails back from any of them. I tried Facebook, Instagram, Twitter… everything. And nothing. I am probably just going to have to take it to the landfill to have it electronics recycled. *sigh* I loved that thing. I even used some peel and stick wallpaper tiles to make it look awesome. :(

    My battery is slimmer and has no markings to identify it. Must be a earlier model trash can

    I'm shocked when i saw the lead acid battery. I was expecting li-ion, like many other home appliances. I will change it to lifepo4 and forget it. 😅

    • @ElectronicNoobBlog
      @ElectronicNoobBlog  Před 2 měsíci

      I'm afraid that it will make 50% cost of that device - haha! But lifepo4 would be drop in replacement so should work great!

    •  Před 16 dny

      I have replaced with lifepo4. I'm very happy with it. 😊(It costed around 20$)
