I have a gut feeling something major will happen before this decade is over because the national debt is going accelerate and compound like crazy, at what point will the size of the national debt matter - 50 trillion, 100 trillion?
If our enemies were smart they would definitely move before the next election
I remember living in the 1980s, we didn't talk about trillions, and decades later we have trillions in debt and we have a crumbling infrastructure, crime and a huge homeless problem. I'd hate to see us hit a quadrillion, we'll be in a feudal system then.
TPTB are awfully good at kicking the can down the road and IMO part of that is so they can accumulate even more assets before it collapses. 33 trillion/ 33 quadrillion, what's the difference, it can never be paid back regardless. Most people cannot even visualize what ONE trillion of anything is .

I hate losing money to inflation, but does it still make sense to have an emergency fund? That’s my worry and why I haven’t went all in on silver.
We still need cash at this point but how much is the question. Personally ,we keep am emergency fund and the next two years property taxes in physical cash ( not in bank), if I had a crystal ball and was sure the metals price ( in dollars) wouldn't drop significantly over the next couple years, I'd put that in PM's also.
