Edit: My current gear crit chance is 24% now.
24% is the max for magic affixes on leg gears 6 gears with 4 percent max crit chance each.

DMG_EFFECTIVE = SKILL_DMG * MODS * [1 + CRIT_CHANCE * CRIT_DAMAGE]
The absolute best thing you can do for higher damage is anything that increases DMG by X%. So priority should be Skill Damage affixes on all slots that can roll them. Most of those gear slots that can have Skill DMG can also roll Crit so the best gear is Skill DMG and Crit.
Crit is only as strong as your base damage multiplied by as many affixes as possible from all sources (gear affixes, reforge affixes, legendary Gems).
So just be sure at the very least to balance these stats out. Personally, Crit is easy to get from buffs and effects so even though I do want it on my gear, DMG % increasing stats are #1.
With enough of these, you will essentially be hitting hard as Crits if you stacked ONLY or MOSTLY Crit instead of the other way around.
Still good information, but showing people how Crit factors into the damage formula helps.

During the reliquary I have almost 70% of CC, the accumulation of the various sources is insane
Crit damage is a mix of base damage+secondary stats/gems. So the higher your reso+ibhen Fahd and regular gems with addition to main stat on gear the higher your base damage will be which be a huge factor in seeing bigger numbers once you get your crit damage up. I focus mainly on my armor pen gems and other sources to get it up a high as possible which mine is sitting around 40% atm not including from other sources such as gear. Once CR on gear is attained for whatever difficulty I am on the stat I am trying to find on gear the most is crit hit and if it has crit damage also even better. So my crit hit from gear is at 28% unbuffed. I have a rank 10 mothers lament as well as running 4 piece gloom for additional 22.5% crit hit. I even made a rank 5 cut throat gem for additional 13.5% crit hit when attacking from behind and will get it to rank 6 soon for 17%. With the gloom setup and my build it is easy to get behind dungeon bosses, raid bosses, shadow war enemy. Also running weaver or mastermind which means I am seeing big crits all the time on my BK at almost 2k reso and 15k base damage. Also forgot to add having all % damage increase legendary gems + all 8 set family bonus doing 100% increase damage also will greatly increase your crit damage.
That is true. But in this video I just wanted to answer this very common question how I get so much crits. So I answer that. How to increase your crit damage numbers, maybe I will do another video in near future.

I guess you are purely PVE? Also 28 percent crit chance on gear? do you mean that is your crit chance magic affix on gear? there are 6 gears that can have crit chance magic affixes and max is 4 percent each so how are you having 28 percent?

@@elmerofun6669 yes 8 slots but only 6 of them can have crit chance magic affix. The chest and pants cant have crit chance on them

does the magic properties transfer to newer gear?
Hello, is it possible to transfer "magic" stats bonus on weapon? Like "crit hit chance" something like that is there other way to keep crit stats on weapon coz it hard to get crit hit chance bonus

Sadly no way to reroll magic stats as of right now. Just have to keep grinding.

Love DI, but it’s getting very redundant. Do the same loop over and over for every Hell/Inferno level. Farm basically same gear. Same sets. Only to redo it again when they release higher difficulty levels. BORING
