as a lifelong 49ers fan, i am enjoying such delicious schadenfreude seeing the Plowgirls again self destruct in the playoffs (but damn, we only got to trounce them in regular season this year, ruining our streak of sending them home from playoffs ourselves lol), love the fact that egotistic narcissist JJ is sticking w/obvious loser MM for another season 🙂 #BangBangNinersGang

Teams that can’t hire coaches: any team that dares hire a Belechik assistant.
Nick saban is a belichek assistant
@@Nicholas-ch5lnand he failed in the nfl and tucked his tail and went back to college football
@@Nicholas-ch5ln And he was a mediocre NFL coach at best. One of the best college coaches ever, but in the scope of the NFL, my statement still holds true.
Even worse is when that assistant starts hiring all of their friends from New England, i.e. Matt Patricia and Bob Quinn in Detroit.
At least Detroit learned its lesson and moved on.
And until Dan Campbell the Lions were the worst at hiring head coaches after we fired Cocaine Wayne
Jim Caldwell wasn't terrible
@@joemichigan4945Exactly, it’s not his fault the Lions were Matt Stafford and hope
Debatable.
@@Jame5manI mean Caldwell was good but he did get exposed pretty bad in 2017.
The Fontes earned his axe
I honestly can't believe the Raiders weren't on this list. Bill Calahan, Norv Turner, Dennis Allen, Jack Del Rio, Hue Jackson, Jon Gruden, Josh McDaniels, Lane Kiffin, Art Shell, Tom Cable all in the last 20 years. That's not counting the interim coaches either. I probably missed some in there, but it's been brutal. I wish Antonio Pierce the very best!
Tony Sparano, Rich Bissachia and Antonio Pierce. Their interim coaches were probably better than most of their head coaches lol.
Gruden and Shell at least had playoff teams and in Gruden's first tenure he never had a losing season. And the fact that the Raiders had Mike Shanahan and couldn't win speaks more of the Raider braintrust than the coach.
@@Rockhound6165 not in both of their second stints with the team.
@@ErikCB912 neither was given enough time. Gruden had the team on the right trajectory(he went 4-12, 7-9, 8-8 and was 3-2 when he was fired. The team ended up going 10-7 and made the playoffs) and Shell had 1 season to turn a crap team around. Shell's 2nd stint really isn't a good barometer.
I’m shocked the Bears aren’t on this. Every coach since we fired movie smith with a 10-6 record has been awful
Correction; it was since firing Ditka, forcing all 5 of Bill Swerski's Superfans to have heart attacks (especially Todd).
Hey, Matt Nagy made the playoffs. Though we all knew what happened there.
@@choiyatlam2552 Nagy is not Ditka, so he's irrelevant.
Nathaniel Hackett. My god. I feel bad for any Broncos fan that had to watch those fifteen games when he was Denver's head coach, but it was absolutely hilarious comedy to watch from the outside.
As a Chiefs fan living in Denver, oh my God it was weekly comedy.
...Mane!
As a seattle fan I don’t think I’ve had as much fun watching a season since 2013
Yeah it sucked but honestly losing is losing & it wasn't much different than all the other years after the SB W
Watching Nathaniel Hackett as our HC was an experience worse than hell, and being swept by Josh McDaniels (the most hated HC in Broncos history before Hackett) was a special kind of pain that very few have ever had to go through.
Watching Melvin Gordon win the Super Bowl with the Chiefs ultimately cemented 2022 as the worst season in Broncos history. 2010 may have had the worse record, but the Chiefs and Patriots were both one-and-done in that season’s playoffs, while the Chiefs won the Super Bowl in 2022. It also didn’t help that the Chargers and Seahawks made it to the playoffs in 2022, but at least they were both one-and-done (I did get amazing comedy from the Chargers, at least).
I am very surprised that the Falcons were not mentioned. However, in recent years HCs have been given longer leashes to turn things around, whether deserved or not. Blank fired the two best coaches in franchise history for situations not entirely their fault(Reeves and Mike Smith) while Quinn got to hang around just because of 2016 and 2017.
If u look throughout our history the Falcons have had plenty of good coaches just the last guys weren’t that great in Dan Quinn and Arthur Smith. And Bobby Petrino was there but we choose to forget that time
@@aaronsanders4122 When Mike Smith was fired I was initially for it. Looking back, Arthur Blank fired the only coach to take this team to more than three playoff appearances, and had more than two consecutive winning seasons, because the GM failed to address the loss of key O-Line players and a ton of players were injured in 2013-2014.
@@davidmatheny1993 true the only guys that really worked out from that time frame in terms of drafting/signing was Jake Matthews and Alex Mack
The same can be said for the Dallas Cowboys. If only old man Jerry Jones didn’t fire Jimmy Johnson right after wining the program’s fourth Super Bowl championship, we could’ve won more than 5 Super championships maybe even 10 by now!
The Raiders should've also been on this list cuz look at their coaching history during Al Davis's final days after in the Mid-Late 2000s. Art Shell's terrible 2nd stint, Lane Kiffin, Tom Cable, Hue Jackson & Dennis Allen
Don’t forget firing Bill Callahan in 2003 after a Super Bowl berth in 2002 (Charles Woodson HATED him) and hiding Norv Turner).
NFL teams that can’t hire a Head Coach - “Chicago Bears has entered the chat”
Very surprised they didn't come up.
Please do the iconic coach per team.
Jack del Rio with the jags
John Fox with the Panthers
Gary k. With the Texans
Dungy with the colts
How dare you put the Broncos in the thumbnail? I'm still getting over the PTSD from Hackett. 😂
Perna is going to have a few words about that .
I thought that 20-70 loss this season was more traumatizing.
@@anthonymendez1997Not after beating the Chiefs and being within striking distance of the playoffs for the first time in years.
@@Riley_Mundtyet another failure of season which wasnt even importabt keep racking up on missing the playoffs lol
Because fuck the Broncos.
Dan Campbell is probably one of the Lions best coaching decisions in recent years
To quote Urinatingtree "This will either be one of the greatest head coaching decisions of all time or the next Freddie Kitchens. There can be no other outcomes."
@@moonjelly5 It was questionable at first but now it looks like a great idea
When Broncos fans warned me about Hackett becoming the Jets' OC I thought they were exaggerating how bad he is, especially since he was just going to be our OC and not HC.
They were not exaggerating. I dont know how he's in the NFL.
He's best friends with Aaron Rodgers and Rodgers is at the "Post Championship Cleveland LeBron" arc of his career where he demands the team employ his cronies and washed up fans and then gets angry when the team sucks.
Washington under Dan Snyder and the Chicago Bears could've easily been mentioned as well
Washington absolutely should've been mentioned.
As surprising as it is, it makes sense that the Bears aren’t on here. Since Mike Ditka left in 1992, Chicago has had 7 head coaches: Dave Wannstedt, Dick Jauron, Lovie Smith, Marc Trestman, John Fox, Matt Nagy, and now Matt Eberflus. Of those 7, four of them made the playoffs (Wannstedt, Jauron, Smith, and Nagy). Of those four, three of them won NFL Coach of the Year (2001, 2005, 2018).
The Chicago Bears have had some bad coaching since the Super Bowl Shuffle, but all these teams in this video are proof that you could do a hell of a lot worse.
How the Detroit Lions are not at least honorable mention is criminal. Marty Mornhinweg, Steve Mariucci's checked out ass, Rod Marinelli who went form DL coach to HC and led them to 0-16, firing Jim Caldwell because "9-7 isn't good enough", and the whole Quinntricia era 🤮. Just because Sheila got MCDC right doesn't mean her parents were the least bit competent with HCs. And that's all just since 2000!
You have interesting topics for your videos. I love the content ❤
As a Bear fan - surprised they didn't make the list. For the entire history of the team 3 coaches are worth mentioning - Halas, Ditka and Lovie. They all either won a championship - Halas and Ditka or got them to a Superbowl - Lovie (with Rex Grossman - miracles happen) and that's it.
Pre watch guess -Raiders will be on here
Edit: how tf are the raiders not on here?? Mcdaniels and gruden alone should force themselves on the list, gruden is bad for his contract not necessarily himself as a coach
Yea that's true. However They should've also been on this list cuz look at their coaching history during Al Davis's final days after in the Mid-Late 2000s. Art Shell's terrible 2nd stint, Lane Kiffin, Tom Cable & Dennis Allen
The list is long, but undignified. There was also such luminaries as Mike White, Joe Bugel, and Norv Turner. Since Tom Flores left after the 1987 season the number is 16 (if you don't count Gruden and Art Shell twice).
Seriously forgot the bills? After Marv Levy and before McDermott:Wade Phillips,Gregg Williams,Dirty Dick Jauron,Mike Mularkey,Chan Gailey,Perry Fewell,Doug Marrone and Rex Ryan. It's what caused UTree to call buffalo the walking mediocrity
A solid third of these coaches mentioned we're former Bills coaches 😂

And the crazy part is besides Jauron, Gregg and Rex every other bills HC after Levy made the playoffs or had a decent season of two

Same with the Dolphins. After Shula retired it’s been a constant revolving door
Classic as always, Five
Kudos for trashing your giants coaching hires
Imagine firing a future HOF coach that brought you two Superbowls and hire a coach that benches an icon
my cousin is a giants fan and he rips them often
Hackett killed my vibe for Broncos football after Week 1 vs Seahawks. This wigga done let the clock run down because the kicker wanted to break the NFL field goal record and MISSED.
Thank you for the shout-out. Carolina will not disappoint, since Teppppppper still lives, and we'll get higher up on this list in the very near future, I am quite sure.
Oh was I mad when I saw you had the Broncos in this, but then you laid out the facts, and I stopped being mad. Thanks for depressing me 😂
Love the high school football ball field vids. You should make a video for all the high school fields in nevada
I appreciate you showing which states are eligible for prize picks..you're the first youtuber I've seen do this. I'm in Louisiana but still
man, I love your vids, they're freakin' hilarious. You could've thrown the Chicago Bears in there after firing Lovie.
Getting a good General Manager might be more important, but it is definitely debatable.
have you done a video on head coaches fired before their prime? or the teams that pulled the trigger and fired them and that coach went on to succeed at the next place?
I really freaking wish Gary Kubiak was healthy enough to continue on being the Broncos head coach for longer. He really would have kept the team competitive even with all the QB changes.
As a Texans fan, I still believe that Kubiak is the best coach we’ve had. Especially before the dollar tree Belicheck came to town. I know Ryan’s will replace Kubiak as our best coach but I still miss the Kubiak era.
2:01 “Eric ManGINA” 😂😂😂
How are my Vikings not on here? Our best coach was 0-4 in Super Bowls and every coach after chokes in the NFC title games. They hire the most conservative play callers of all time.

How can you have a list like this without the Chicago Bears on it. Since Ditka has left the Bears have had a miserable record of coaching hires. Dave Wandsted, Dick Jauran, Lovie Smith, Marc Trestman, John Fox, Matt Nagy and now Eberflus.
Lovie Smith least went to a Super Bowl with an elite defense but their offense with GROSSMAN!
How in the hell did my Cardinals not make the list.
I’m very surprised you didn’t put my Bears on this list.
You guys aren’t that bad. You’ve actually had some great coaches.
@@Bambino_60 besides Lovie Smith, not so much in the last 30 years.
@@Bambino_60Halas, Ditka, and Lovie were the only good ones we had.

Geno smith started because the giants were the only team never to start a black QB and they were getting sued by collin Kapernick, so instead of being in a law suit , they started Geno
Very subtle Band of Brothers reference haha
Nice wink at Sergio Dipp 😂
8:37 the words I'll hear every time the chinless wonder appears on a college football show..😳
Where are the Cardinals?
Not sure how the lions didn't make this list. If you exclude Dan Campbell they've had bad coaching going back almost 60 years. When Wayne Fontes is your best coach with only 1 playoff win and a negative career record, something isn't right
Wouldn't that be more symptomatic of bad management from higher up?
Even the Blue-Blooded Giants have sucked at hiring HC's since Coughlin was let go.
Old ownership/bad advice lets this happen.
As a Bears fan, honestly surprised we're not on here.
What part of Georgia are u from homie
No mention of "keep chopping wood" Jack Del Rio for the Jags who got his punter hurt because of a axe/wood prop he used in the locker room?
The day Jack Easterby was fired was the best day of my life
Amen, ironically I prayed for the day.
Correction: Kubiak was the coach when the Broncos were handed a Super Bowl because they didn't want their fucking golden boy to go out a loser.
"Hold our beers" - Raiders and Chargers
(I'm a chargers fan)
Hey wait a minute I resent that Malarkey comment 🤣
It could be worse. It could be the 49ers between Harbaugh and Shanahan. Where you get Chip Kelly as a head coach, Tomsula, and even before Harbaugh we got idiots like Mike Nolan, and decent defensive guys in Mike Singletary.
Yes the 49ers had a revolving door of coaches.
Houston in 2022 did what Miami did in 2019 basically, still tanking, did get some wins which supposedly ruined their tank, but still got their franchise QB anyway
Unlike the teams on this list, the Chokeboys hang onto bad coaches WAY too long.
My cowboys in y'all's head rent free😂😂😂
It's quite comedic to me as a 22 yr old sports management senior that the NFL still doesn't understand the difference in organizations and what each coordinator does within said organization. There are certain teams that use the coordinators to make decisions and operate the team like the eagles and some teams like the pats who do not allow their coordinators control but yet coordinators who turn a a bad offense/defense around to mediocre are overlooked by the coordinators who just won the Super Bowl even tho they may not have even contributed. Like bruh y'all grown ass men how about you use your fucking head and realize that each team is different and go about each teams coordinators beaded on what the coordinators actually did not the team. Hence the pats coaching tree has been atrocious and the eagles has been insane
How do you miss out on the Miami Dolphins? Since Shula retired the Dolphins HC has been a constant revolving door. Johnson, Wannstadt, Sporano, Saban, Philbin, Dan Campbell (interim), Gase, Flores, and I’m probably forgetting 1 or 2.
Todd Bowles was an interim head coach in 2011. Also forgot Cam Cameron who was probably the worst out of all of them.
@@ErikCB912 yes! Thank you! Can’t believe I forgot about Cameron! Ugh.
Pretty surprised the Jets weren't mentioned. Haven't they had only three halfway decent head coaches in 30 years?
You want to know something crazy Cleveland finally has a decent coach he dragged us to the playoffs with five different starting quarterbacks that's insane. But of course Browns fans are saying we should fire him because we didn't win a Super Bowl with Joe Flacco at quarterback😂😂
The Dolphins deserve a shoutout for the carousel of mediocrity that their coaching hires has resulted in.
11 head coaches in the 24 years since Dan Marino's retirement, including 3 interim head coaches, two of which just won a playoff game this past weekend... definitely deserves a mention on this list.
@@nickevans7477 100%
@@nickevans7477yep, Todd Bowles and Dan Campbell
I've been a Cardinals fan since 1975 and in that time we've had 2 really good head coaches and 2 decent ones. The rest were utter crap. The 2 really good ones were Don Coryell and Bruce Arians. The decent ones were Jim Hanifan and Vince Tobin. The others were either mediocre or complete crap. The proof is in the pudding. Of all the coaches we've had in my near 50 years as a fan only 4 found another head coaching job: Coyrell, Arians, Whisenhunt, and Joe Bugel. Not one other coach have we had found work elsewhere as a head coach.
What about Whisenhunt? He took you guys to your first and so far only superbowl appearance and almost won it.
Mid day five vid impeccable 🤌🏽
I’m surprised that the Bears weren’t in this video.
The browns issue was they were too patient with the guys they needed to fire and too impatient with the guys who shouldve been given another season or 2
Yeah, they seemed to always flip flop their decisions it seemed but Kevin Stefanski probably just bought himself a few more years because of him making the playoffs for the second time in 4 years and especially how this season went for them guiding them to 11-6 with their injuries left and right.
They were too patient with hue Jackson and too impatient with Pettine. How do you not fire a coach that went 1-31 in 2 seasons and how can you expect to win more than 4-6 games with Manziel and Kessler as the QB
i’m still watching the ad and ik the panthers are on here
i just knew 😔 i hate my teams staff
I honestly thought the jets would be on here
Nah, we've had a few good ones.
@justinlast2lastharder749 Outside of Bill Parcells and Rex Ryan, who have the Jets had?
These are legit picks, but I’m honestly shocked you didn’t pick the Commanders. It’s been HC hell ever since Gibbs left.
*Redskins
How are the bears not on here, their best coach in the Super Bowl era is mike ditka who got carried by buddy Ryan and the greatest defense ever
The Jets are so bad they spread the shittyness over to the Giants after Tom Coughlin retired.
McAdoo made that playoff game because the front office spent a crapton on great defensive players. Once they all got injured in 2017 his anemic offense was exposed.
Shurmur was the most vanilla, ho-hum coaching hire they could’ve made. Nothing about him inspired the players.
Judge was a panic hire when Carolina jumped the line to get Rhule.
I think Daboll might be a good hire though. Despite a crappy second season it looks like he didn’t lose the team.
The Giants have a long history of turning down or missing out on great coaches. They had Lombardi and Landry as coordinators and let them both walk, and later favored Ray Handley over Bellichick once Parcells resigned. Amazing.
I blame Gettleman more than any of those coaches. They should have fired him with Shurmur. With the exception of Handley, the giants had a pretty good run with head coaches from Parcells to coughlin. Belichick wasn’t good with Cleveland so there’s no guarantee he would have been good with the giants.
No Bears? shocking
1. Stefanski is about to win his 2nd COY in 4 years, but OK.
2. Jackson was, ... you know, you're not smart enough for me to fight you on this.
Cleveland is definitely a good team now

Andy Reid has been in KC for 11 years, has 5 afc championships appearances, 3 afc titles, and 2 super bowls, not mention has the most wins the past 6 years and has never won coach of the year in KC, which is mind blowing.
That award is kinda bs if you ask me
BOB has been a mixed bag, but I will always give him credit for stepping in to succeed Joe Paterno at Penn State and guide the team for three seasons.
As a Nittany lion fan and alum
He was much better than Franklin is, Id gladly take Bill back he made Christian look like a elite college QB
I live in Pennsylvania and work retail when a customer wearing a penn state hat or shirt comes in I ask them why can't penn state beat Ohio state. They never can give me a good answer cause they don't understand either.
At least Bob wasn't touching kids like Paterno and Sandusky
Don’t forget to mention the Chicago bears infamous black hole at QB coach
Man, you think Jags are a mess? Wait until Tony Khan takes over. Seeing how he’s run AEW, he will be clickbait gold for NFL CZcamsrs
Dolphins deserve an honorable mention in this video
I thought the NFL banned using draft picks for coaches after my Bucs sent 2 1st's, a 2nd, and any hope for the rest of the decade to the Raiders for Chucky
Uh…no. The broncos literally did this last year to get Sean Payton.
@@ErikCB912 Yeah, obviously. Was news to me, I didn't know tge terms. It screwed the Bucs, it'll likely screw the Broncos, as suggested in the video.

im surprised the raiders werent mentioned. our best coach of the last 20 years was HUE JACKSON!
No he wasn’t lmao it was Jack Del Rio or Jon Gruden
Jon Gruden’s first stint and Del Rio were better than Hue Jackson
Betcha a Cold one, the teams with the worst Owners are the ones that cycle through coaches and....I'm sorta right
The New Orleans Saints got lucky with Shawn Payton. But before and after they had no one.
Especially winning a Super Bowl with Brees Thomas and Colston fucking Reggie was there too 😂
No Chargers on this list is crazy
I think the jets and the raiders should be on the list instead of the giants and the Texans. I feel like recency bias played a part in this vid. The giants’ coaching woes only started since Coughlin left. Before that the giants always had good coaches since Parcells with the only exception being Ray Handley. The only bad coaches the Texans hired were Culley and Lovie. Capers was dealt a bad hand with an expansion roster, Kubiak steadily improved the team, and O’Brien wasn’t that bad until they gave him too much power.
I’m feeling real good about AP I think my raiders finally did it
The problem with the Browns, some of those guys weren't hired as a Head Coach. They simply acted as interim.........after firing the guy they hired......ooooof
Stefanski aint that bad
I’m just thankful you didn’t bring up the Vikings
Mike Tomlin can’t be fired yet. I think we have to wait for a new Pope.
That Josh Allen under pick seems like one the dumbest bets I've ever seen. The only way you hit on that, IMO, is if the Bills absolutely blow the doors of the Chiefs. That way the Bills just constantly hand it off, and Sit Josh in 4th. Win or lose, Josh always puts up huge numbers on the Chiefs, especially in the playoffs.
No honorable mention for the colts hiring Jeff Saturday?
I'm stunnedvThe Bears didn't make this list. Wannstedt, Jauron, Trestman,Fox Nagy and now Eberflus

The only hope the Falcons have with this 21-38 retread is he pulls a Bobby Petrino and bales mid season. Be ready Zac I hope you get your chance.
Daboll is also from the Belichick tree
Cleveland have their guy with Stefanski depending how Groper Cleveland does.
Why can't teams just narrow down the list of candidates to those who won Super Bowls? They want PROVEN coaches, right?
Well, if we use that logic, I guess that means the Cowboys made the right choice hiring Mike Mccarthy.
@@matthewcrispin4070 Yes, they did, because the best coaches are the ones who won Super Bowls as a head coach. If McCarthy isn't the right guy, then perhaps Cowher Power is.
@dionr1168 I won't lie. The Cowboys bringing in Cowher could work. Mccarthy is okay, but I still say the Cowboys should move on from him. The guys clock management skills are some of the worst in the league. Both him and Dan Quinn need to go. Bringing in Cowher could actually be pretty lethal.
I'm surprised the Lions weren't on this list
Steelers: You can't hire bad coaches if you never fire/get rid of one
Can't have a coaching carousel if you never carousel. Tomlin nowadays is quite literally mid. Always somehow makes it over .500, lucks into playoff games, loses in one.
Honestly a proven head coach is more valuable to a team than a usually eh late first round pick
Without even watching the video and living in the Denver area, I can tell you the Broncos have hired their coaches based on who kissed Elway's ass for the last 20 years. After he returned to Denver as the GM and VP, they hired softies and people that either played with him in the past or knew him at great length. They are so bad off that when they had a chance to get Kyle Shanahan they passed based on Jon's relationship with Mike. All politics here and who ever they can get at the cheapest price in short order to get back to the SB fast. And with Hackett their hope was that Rodgers would follow him since he was in Green Bay as OC as well. They just want the ready made John Elway to get them a SB quick they are so fucking predictable here.
It wasn’t elways fault that they didn’t get Kyle, he wanted to hire him and Joe Ellies overrided him because he didn’t like Mike Shannahan
The Bears not being on this is malpractice
