Using a crankcase installer/ crank puller tool

  • I'm rebuilding my kx125 so thought I'd do a quick video on using a crankcase installer/ crank puller tool. The one I'm using is a tusk one which was imported from America with a crankcase splitter, I'll leave a link for the motion pro tool. Thanks for watching any feedback much appreciated

    Nice video! Doesnt that puller put a lot of stress to that bearing because its pulling it from the outer brace and not from the inner one?

      Hi mate thanks, I don't believe so as the bearings are already sat into the cases and all your doing is pulling the crank into the inner race of the bearing. I've never had a problem with a failed bearing doing it this way up to now 🤞👍🏻

      not brace, 'race' ;) but yeah, i thought the same thing, since its not pressing against the inner race it puts lateral stress on the bearing, but i have heard they can tolerate well above the stress that puts on them without any damage, plus if a professional tool does it this way, im sure its fine.
