    The Tusk crankcase splitter / separator is an indispensable tool if you are performing a bottom-end engine rebuild on your motorcycle or ATV. It makes the process of splitting a case a breeze and will work like a charm for most 2-stroke and 4-stroke vertically split crankcases - especially since the tool's adjustable arms allow it to function properly on many different types of bolt patterns. The splitter also makes disassembling the crankcase simple by allowing you to safely push the crank assembly right out of the case halves. It used to be that splitting the case was only possible with expensive tools. The Tusk crankcase splitter / separator has changed everything with a quality, affordable case-splitting tool.

    Cool tool. I need to split my casing on a YZ250h just to clean it out. The previous owner had already removed the piston but I found a spec of metal probably from the piston on the crank. I do not think I need to pull out the Transmission but just be able to get in there and clean out and inspect the gears.

    Can you just use regular high heat silicone bond to mate the 2 halves again or would you need the "glue"you mentioned at: 3:48 ?

    Ok I got the cases split. Now what tool do I need to get them back together?

    • @mikebianco2976
      @mikebianco2976 Před 4 lety +1

      you shouldn't need a tool to get them back, just freeze your bearings and crank before disassembly and warm the cases.
