- Ever since Fleeing the Complex, fans of the Stickmin series have been wondering, "What is Ellie Rose's backstory? How did she end up at The Wall!?"
Using the very few hints we are given, both in that game and Completing the Mission, I attempt to craft a possible backstory for one of the best characters in the series!

PuffballsUnited has remained adamant that he will not make any more Henry or Henry-like DLC or other Henry Stickmin Collection expansions. So instead, I wanted to take a stab at answering this question with my own theory.

I am not sure how AtS would work. Since ItA and FtC are the most important and the endings you got all comes back with CtM. While AtS would be unimportant. What if she became the leader? That would be completely unimportant because she would meet Henry and leave all of her bonds with her organization. That would just be a case of bad story-telling because an important part of the story is just completly ignored.
I do like the idea that Henry and Ellie's fates are so tied together that the ONE time Henry tries to leave behind and ignore Ellie, he is heavily punished and is left with the most ambiguous ending

Sven Svenson (the Toppat Leader in all of the GSPI endings) says that there are multiple divisions in the Toppat Clan, and Henry only met the Airship Division, so Ellie could have met one of the other divisions before going to The Wall.

Who knows, maybe the biker gang is a division that went rogue and became their own gang?

Puffballs actually talked about how their was a scrapped side story for Ellie in the collection in which you would play as her in the top hat clan to see how she ended up in the wall. It was scrapped due to the fact it would mean the game would take another year and it was hard to incorporate into completing the mission.

I'd say that sums it up!
Stick a wig on Henry. Swap the Diamond for the Emerald. And replace the Airship/Toppats with ____/Punks, and you have her backstory!
I find that unlikely due to
1) A member of the CCC is imprisoned at The Wall
2) The Wall appears to be Russian, and the CCC appears to be either American or independent of any country.

@@zacoyunda2001 I see that you've encountered Puff's devcom Twitch Stream aswell (honestly, alot of the confirmed facts are so... absurd, with my favorites such as Charles & Dave's surnames were originally fanon (a fanfic and wiki-edit respectively) and Puff decided to roll with it and make it canon, Ellie was supposed to be a Toppat that helped overthrow Suave with Reg and Right, and Rupert's canonicaly thinning-which has made 30% of the fanbase go on a short yet entertaining twitter civil war).

I have a theory: Ellie was a recruit from the biker gang, Ellie Stole The Emerald alone without help and took it to the gang, but the Tophat Clan saw her stealing the emerald and followed her, so after that Ellie was accused of making the Clan follow her So the gang kicked her out and after that the whole gang went to The Wall including Ellie

Something I really like about Ellie is that they didn't try and force anything romantic between her and Henry. It subverted my expectations, as I assumed that they would end up with some sort of interaction(s) that would indicate them as becoming closer than friends. While I do really enjoy romantic subplots at times in games and media, I'm almost glad that they didn't try and force anything between them last minute. This is why I love this series so much.

Sometimes the greatest Stories are best untold. And as a creator he probably lost interest, or hit the creative wall. Plus he probably, thinks it's better to have a fans build up Ellie Rose's story arch, then creating a whole new game explaining how Ellie ended up in the Complex to begin with.

Charles is more of a concrete character in the series, part of the Government which is an established faction we can join, just like Reginald is in the Toppat Clan which is a different established faction to possibly join. No characters in the separate established factions are shown to possess the abilities Henry and Ellie have.

Considering that Jacob Rose talks with Ted McAdams, someone who is important in Henry's first step in his story, it could be possible that Jacob is involved somehow in the first step in Ellie's story. (This might also mean something for Kurt Dietrich considering he talks with Dave Panpa but I don't know if that would really matter)

For an Ellie spinoff that isn't backstory, I typically picture a version of her in the Special BROvert Ops path. Henry never betrayed her and ends up in his best possible place that doesn't involve working with her, so it basically frees up possibilities for what she'd be up to.

Here's an interesting thought, in fleeing the complex, when you choose the knee in convict allies, henry could leave without ellie and flee the complex all by his self, but the fail screen still comes up suggesting that the connection could be closer than we thought

10:14 I have a theory on the Tunisian Diamond being stolen by the Toppats: they DID stole it, they mayor (that we later discover he's with the Toppats) made a fake story in which he (or someone else) managed to retrive back the Diamond, while in reality he just used for... i dunno... votes? But then Henry stole it and that explain why he's not entitled "Mayor" in CtM bios.
No no no, It is later revealed that he is a TOPPAT. The news didn't know that Henry stole it, self-explanatory if you do, Unseen Burglar. Just Plain Epic, the Museum was destroyed and no one alive who actually KNEW Henry stole it so they could inform so. And for Intruder on a Scooter, well, since Henry fell ppl thought Henry died so there was no use Actually informing this news.

you mentioned one time that ellie was able to use the force, and I love that little idea, that people have abilities from random pop-culture media, such as Henry being an Earthbender, and being able to metal bend. It makes me wonder what powers exist in this universe.

Now you've got me thinking. There is another character, one who can seemingly pull impossible things out of thin air one, and is capable of preforming a combination attack with Henry. The one, the only, the Right Hand Man.
"But all his stuff is just because he's a cyborg!" I hear you protest. I will let the Right Hand Man himself answer this one:
"You fool! Did you really think my Spirit was a result of my augmentations?"
Yes, you could say most of the stuff he pulled when he was a cyborg were tied to his augmentations, but the same could be said for Henry when _he_ was turned into a cyborg, couldn't it?
He also manages to pull a verity of items out of nowhere when you fight him in ItA. They’re admittedly still mostly things he would likely be in possession of, but if still doesn’t explain how he suddenly gets a minigun or summons a mirror.
You could argue that it’s Henry’s choices that influence the abilities of those around him, such as how both the fusion dance and earthbend lead to him fighting someone with similar skills, but at the same time those characters still have explanations of their abilities in their bios, which RHM doesn’t.
It’s also interesting that while Henry fights several opponents in the style of other games, (Mr Macbeth with Undertale, Night guards Tim and Joe with Pokemon, the Advanced Wars/Fire Emblem section of FtC etc.), these characters always use the weapons that they were seen to have before hand, whereas RHM doesn’t

No, it's pretty clear he's done with it, he want to do other things than keeping on the same universe all his career and it's clear that Completing the Mission is meant to be the true end of the series. People should accept this rather than clinging on false hopes of "maybe he'll change his mind".
Ima guess he is tired of these characters, but maybe he could incorporate these characters into a FPS or make a DLC for among us to change among us characters into a selection of stickmin characters
@@beanlets You can pretty much already do that with all the cosmetics, I don't think it's worth it to re-do a sprite sheet with every crewmate's action with stick figures. Also the good thing about the Among Us crewmates is that their colors is clearly visible which wouldn't be the case with stick figures so it wouldn't work to replace the Among Us characters by stick figures.

Okay so let me explain further. While Jacob is not a perfect copy of Charles, he is the one who initially turned Ellie into the Government and accompanied her on her mission to deal with the German Punk Gang.
I really do love Ellie and I'm so happy to see a detailed theory about what Ellie's past might be like and it was super enjoyable to see you point out how similar she is to Henry and how perfect of a match they are for each other

perhaps Jacob Rose is like Dave Panpa, having a minor role in almost every scenario Ellie appears in. This is pretty unlikely though.
A more plausible theory is that there's someone out there with the last name Stickmin that isn't Henry, who appears at some point in Ellie's life and never again.

6:13 hold up, look at that bio. The warden of the wall says to Henry there has not been an incident at the wall in fifty years... so how did that happen?
The only path we see him is triple threat, which follows convict allies, meaning he escapee during the same outbreak that Henry and ellie escaped on, it's literally mentioned in the end of the bio
I would love to hear a remix that combines Ellie's theme and Press Start. Maybe that could be the new "Ellry faction" theme that we see a few times in completing the mission.
Also the only backstory I wanna know is where the wall came from.

As a Henry Stickmin fan, I actually have my own backstory: So, Ellie had a family, but something was torn apart with her parents, and her dad was a criminal, while her mom was just a housewife. She found out that Ellie’s dad was a criminal, she divorced him, and at this time, she were probably in her teens or mid-adults. So, Ellie found out, and then she started to have irregular opinions about him, whether or not he was good or not, then she started to go to college, then she dropped out to live with her mom after her dad moved out of the house, but after an argument with her mom she decided to be a criminal, then thats where her story is parallel to Henry’s now. Then, after the Infiltration of the Airship, the 4th episode which will be Ellie’s, is now sent to the Wall and that’s how she met up with Henry.
This might be not an exact opinion, but I talked about her and her family and how she turned into a criminal.
Edit: Jacob is not related to Ellie as of 1/8/20 in one of PuffBall’s live stream’s, so I’m editing the comment

Her synchronicity with Henry is really what opens up the character to me. I have never seen this level of sync in my entire life, considering that they've only met for 2 games, Henry's caveat which is not speaking much, and yet they pull off fusions, combos, and other sh¡t. Some people keep saying that she's just female henry but I digress: She is her own character that simply works so well with Henry.

I agree with the whole Ellie has the same life path as Henry. I think while Henry has insane luck, Ellie then has insane fierceness. Parallel lives but differing abilities.

A small detail I really like is that in Infiltrating the Airship Henry can metalbend and in Fleeing the Complex he can earthbend, and in a similar fashion Ellie uses the force in both Fleeing the Complex and Completing the Mission
Speaking of the force, maybe we could have a Jedi battle between Henry and Ellie.

I still remember playing the first flash game of puffballs of "blowing up bank" where i first time saw the options and had a lot of fun. Never in a million years i thought there will be a full on dedicated series and an actual last game that wraps up everything that has led up to that point.
Also, i still remember replaying "fleeing the complex" and every single other game puffballs had, like a madman. Until i got bored and was busy with life and forgot all about them.
But hey, they released the game and slapped me in the face with nostalgia and here i am after a full "completing the mission" henry stickmin collection game, and i am proud they actually stuck with it and even improved it.
One thing I would like to hear is what causes Henry to become the way that he is during the game. Like what causes him to want to steal from the bank that starts the whole series? Like what makes him have to steal instead of getting a job?
Maybe he didn’t want to work all those hours and he just wanted some quick cash
@@synrdk Maybe, but it seems way too risky to be someone he tried to do because he was lazy. So he must have had no other solution and been desperate.
I don’t know, I’m trying to have a theory about what is Jacob Rose’s significance. Maybe, meanwhile Ellie stole the emerald, Henry stole the diamond and Jacob knew that his sister (or his cousin) was a thief, and was on the museum, waiting for her so he could stop her, but he didn’t knew what she was going to steal. He assumed she’ll steal the diamond but she didn’t. Henry did. (I’ll add more to this theory soon)

I'd like to imagine, that while Henry was stealing the diamond, and was in the same area as Jacob Rose, Ellie was stealing her own thing, while in the same area as a female with the last name Stickmin, just to have things match in their lives even more.
13:45 actually I think the reason Henry’s plan worked is because they both understand Henry the best where as Henry understands both of them and vice versa but Charles and Ellie are friends, can work well together, but in the end work nowhere near as well as they do with Henry, they trust him so they would follow his plan best

By my guess for this Jacob Rose. He would Ellie's brother. Like Ellie is the black sheep [a criminal girl that relies only on herself than her own family and goes on her criminal spree] and Jacob is the nice cheering guy [cares for his family deeply, respects the laws and justice with pretty much how he got the work as a security guard]. I think Jacob doesn't talk about Eliie because they might consider him as an accomplice. But he still thinks of his sister, his OLD sister he used to love.
My Headcannon for Ellie Rose is that she was a Criminal who did Something Something really bad and ended up in the Wall.

Ideas for "sequels" for CTM
Instead of another full game we could have shorter ones based on endings we got in CTM (not all of them obviously) like the length of a single ending in std i think that'd probably be the best of both worlds for both fans that prefer one ending and it creates easily digestible content

What if Ellie stole an emerald (because it wasn’t open until henry stole it) then her brother (Jacob rose) got hired so the same thing won’t happen?
(He obviously failed, as all he was doing was talking with the other guy and Henry stole the diamond, but that would be a cool theory)
Once you mentioned that henry and ellie have similar themes, I heard it right away! It's fascinating how similar and different those two songs are.
