The Henry Stickmin Collection goes above and beyond, providing 16 endings to the Stickmin story! But which of those endings is canon? Surly not every single one can be??
Well, there is actually a secret Multiverse Imbalance Correction endings where this very question is addressed. I wanted to lay it out as plainly as I could to help fans understand what that implies for the whole series!
Who'd have thought I'd ever do a theory or explained video on Henry Stickmin??

First off, thank you all for the incredible response this video has had! I've had a few cool convos in the comments about other factors that tie into this theory/explanation. Namely: The Teleporter, and the way the Biggol Sword secret plays out between numerous fails (ie. universes). Here is my attempt to build on the video theory, while including those!
The Teleporter appears to work through space AND time - and has some weird manipulative properties of the two. It's one of the only things Henry reacts to BEFORE using, getting increasingly nervous about it. He is reacting to how AU versions of himself have been affected.
Despite being a different Henry, it's always the same device (he hasn't failed with it yet perhaps), and the device is imposing the weight of those previous failures upon Henry! Alternately, the stakes are simply higher each time, and he knows the device is finicky. But that's less cool and sci-fi oriented ;)
The sequence for acquiring the Biggol sword includes interactions with the CCC in order to acquire the necessary code for the door. There is a chance that in a similar way the Teleporter has manipulated space, time, and Henry - the CCC's interference with timelines and universes have granted Henry some limited multiverse knowledge. The exchanging of that flash drive, from Henry to the CCC, and their interference with their discs (all connecting with Henry), resulted in an unintentional criss-crossing of universes on a less-than-physical level that have granted Henry a small _fragment_ of universal awareness. It's all a bunch of mingling timelines, coalesceing, and granting inter-universal knowledge! So despite never reading or learning the code, he is able to essentially pluck it from the ether of another universe thanks to goofed-up time and space.
I Challenge(JK just hear me out), Your theory is pretty good that there are finite number of alternate timelines and each timeline will, no matter how it ends always forces to the the next mission one way or another BUT during the one of the fails in completing the mission, specifically the 'Sprite Form' when the sprite punches the write hand man into an alternate timeline where Hendry never came across with the TopHat clanand the right hand man never gets cybernetic enhancements ... Basically, we can't fully know for certain whether we live in universe where all Hendry 's actually ending are the only possible ending.
Also in the bio of the right hand man in completing the mission it is mentioned that he was defeated by Hendry and had got cybernetic enhancement.
So we might still have infinite number of universes
Edit:Or That every ending, including fails is an ending, that is probably the only possible way this could happen....

Problem, Henry isn't in the same room, ergo, he himself cannot interact with the CCC, heck, he gets the drive in a different path altogether.
To me at least, what's happening to Henry here looks very similar to what happened to (Zero Escape spoilers ahead!, don't continue reading unless you don't care about spoilers! You have been warned)...
...Junpei in the first Zero Escape were he was mentally linked to his love interest's younger self Akane because she needed him to avoid being incinerated. What am trying to say is that somebody else (maybe the player?) is messing with Henry's thoughts and basically telling him what to do, ergo, the existence of the multiple endings.
Something that I noticed when watching some youtubers play CtM is that the Majora’s Mask chaos containment fail has the narrator speak in first person, as if they were the person who launched the moon... or perhaps the narrator IS the moon!
Ok, I was kidding about that last bit. But the fact that the narrator spoke in first person in a way that suggests that they impacted the multiverse is still quite significant.

I feel like Henry knows about the fails and different outcomes because with each time he used the teleporter he becomes more and more hesitant to use it until he finally breaks it from doubt.

It could be a super significant point! I had it in mind, that the "narrator" for the fails is clearly aware of multiple endings and fails, since they leave snarky remarks about Henry trying something multiple times.
But the idea that Henry himself is aware if a whole other can of worms! Well done :)
That might only be because the teleporter warps spacetime. Afaik there aren’t any other times Henry proves he has any knowledge of his other timelines

Many of the fails are "endings" in the sense that Henry dies. There is a real chance Henry went on to do great things after that delicious cheese break haha

Henry’s stand, Referance, literally slings right hand man into an alternate universe and back. I think that’s a pretty big clue.

@@hypocritehenry4619 its technically a side grade since RHM loses his prostetics after being slung into a different timeline which means that travelling to a different timeline overwrites the selfs you have there. There aren't going to be two Henry or two RHM like there would have been if D4C is used.
In exchange for this nerf in terms of Universe switching as I would call it, Reference has the extra ability of switching itself and Henry so I guess Reference's true ability is the act of 'Switching' from either switching places in space or even time.

14:15 i just realize that the Helicopter shutdown the blade as it fall down for Ellie and Henry to enter and not in slow-mo. I was so confused how they can bravely ride the helicopter and not hit the blade( that would be lead to another failure lol) with such small percentage of succeeding.
Yep. Charles shut down the engines to make it easier for them to hop on. You can realise that due to the background “beep beep beep beep” that the heli is making due to the engine being shut down and it losing altitude really quickly.
It is also a sort of reference to FtC, in the IRO path, if, at the last choice on the helipad, you choose the bottom option so Henry jump from there and Charlie say something like:
"Wait, that was the plan? Man, we could've organized us better"
This means that Henry already had the idea to enter in the helicopter in a free fall... Or at least Charles understed that.
Well, the bios wasn't joking when they stated him as "one of the youngest and most experienced pilots" the goverment have (I think this imply that he's a prodigy of some sort). But this is just me.

Gotta love how Puffballs just allows everyone to choose their own path and for that specific person anything could be their ending. But offically every ending is canon. So from there, if any person wants to make fan content of a specific ending, because of their own experiences, it's completely in the limit.
Should there ever be another game after Completing The Mission, there would be so many endings to continue but i don't think we will see that anytime soon.
And let's be honest, no one wants Valiant Hero to be canon.

Everything, from the loading screens, to the simpler art, all were a part o my childhood. Strange, isn't it? I feel nostalgic about waiting for Henry Stickmin to load up as I looked at the things around. Plus, a few of my favorite songs in HS got removed, like Infertehno and Forgotten Aura. And beyond Henry Stickmin...so many other Flash Games that never got as big as Henry will now die.

Theory: What if the CCC actually spawns every item Henry would possibly need to create each universe? I mean, they do summon the box in prison, so it's very plausible that the CCC is actually controlling every fail, rank and ending Henry does, IN ORDER to overload the system, which would then fill up and send the package to Henry in prison. The CCC traps the multi verse into an endless loop whith little nagging, such as the box or any other item Henry magically posses when u choose it. Also, Henry remembering using the teleporter before might be because the CCC is putting the memory of using the teleporter and dying in other universes. They can summon stuff, so probably they can also control memories and, in this case, put memories inside a person's mind. Just another nagging to some more fails, some more universes and the eventual overload, further supporting my previous loop theory. I don't know if this is canon, but, for me, it is very possible.

No. The CCC may have given the box Henry received in Escape the Prison, but I don't think they control Henry's fate, actions and endings. Also, it's not clear if the failures are also canon, because Henry could have used the teleporter off-screen and known in advance of its ineffectiveness.
The "Multiverse defragmentation" that the CCC actuates is probably just "Erase all the Universes where Henry failed his objective, thus not reaching the 'Mission'. The Universes where Henry fails DURING 'Completing The Mission' can continue to exist, until further events"
This is what I think: every choice that doesn't lead to a main ending is deleted, unless it happened in "Completing The Mission"
To me the original cannon ending to escaping the prison was the ending where he stole the cop car, as in the old flash version of airship in the interactive loading screen we can flip around cameras and one of them is a garage camera with, you guessed it, the exact same cop car.
I actually thought it was a bummer that the loading screen thing wasn't a part of the remasteres, because it showed that little extra of how Henry was captured.
Now I'm wondering if it was dropped in order to leave some extra ambiguity of how he Escaped?

The thing is Puffballs slightly reconned the PD, in the Flash version the last screen shows a plane taking off while in the HSC it just shows Henry walking in the snow so it would make sense for that to be reconned too

Have you ever thought that the player is some rogue CCC employee or something? Think about it. The player can switch through all the timelines and go to them at any moment.
The Distraction ending is the true ending:
To defeat the guards, Henry must distract the guards. Mr. Stickmin does this by doing a dance. The plan works guards get distracted by Henry. However, it works too well and Ellie also get distracted. All four people are stuck, doing the same dance for all eternity.
Distraction Ending? Mind your words. It's Professional Dancing Professionalist. PDP Ending.

That kinda reminds me of a plague involving dances,where people have continued to dance over and over for days...I don't know if i'm just making it up though...wait,nevermind,Researching it takes you to "The Dance Plague of 1518".I doubt that's what the creators are referencing to,but i thought i'd just say something lol
then, eventually, every living creature in the universe is doing the exact same dance until the end of time.
Eventually Dmitri notices that two convicts have gone missing and sends people after them. Guards stumble upon them one by one and all get Distracted too, until the entire Wall is Distracted, dancing for eternity.
Reports of a mysterious ghost prison appear around the world and people go there to investigate, only to go missing as well. When enough go missing, the police get involved and disappear themselves, which catches the attention of the government, who sends in the military. The military also goes missing, and the Wall is covered in the Distracted dancing forever. It becomes an international emergency which will eventually doom stick-kind and swallow the Earth in an endless loop of Distraction.
I propose there is actually one ending that isn’t canon, at least it can’t be canon without creating a plot hole, the “Lawyered Up” Ending in Escaping the Prison. In the beginning of Infiltrating the Airship, the Captain lists Henry’s criminal record, all of the crimes that he is wanted by the government for: breaking into the bank, breaking out of prison, and stealing the diamond. The only problem is, if the Lawyered Up ending is canon, two thirds of that criminal record wouldn’t exist. In the Lawyered Up ending, Henry is declared as not guilty for his attempted robbery at the bank, thus expunging his criminal record at that point and letting him leave the prison legally. He didn’t “escape” the prison, he walked out a free man. When the Captain later claims that he is wanted for both breaking into the bank and escaping prison, it directly contradicts one of the endings to Escaping the Prison since we’ve established Henry wouldn’t have those crimes on his record. Therefore, the Lawyered Up ending cannot be canon without contradicting every single ending in Infiltrating the Airship.

My theory there would be that Winston Davis was confirmed to have been wrongfully convicted. We know that that was the case. Spo potentially a skilled detective could have brought new evidence forward. They overturned that ruling, but it was too late to bring Henry back in. So he still "Escaped".
We also know that Winston goes on to join the Toppats. He only could have done that if he himself escaped (possible, since he's now imbittered and working with criminals), or he was let out legally when they realized they had the wrong man

While I understand that the Stickmin series has ended, this video has given me an amazing idea.
Fighting the Multiverse
The CCC, in an effort to stem the number of multiverses, has fused certain lines into a single point, and pitting Henry against the one force that could stop him: himself. You have Valiant Hero Henry looking to replace his alternate universe self, so that he could live in a universe where his best friend is still alive. Meanwhile, Triple Threat Henry has been sent into Toppat Civil Warfare while having no prior connection to leading the Clan to begin with.
Just an interesting idea.

Actually, Henry could've made even different choices, we know that because of the scene in which the Right Hand Man gets sent to a reality where Henry controlls the Toppats
And that gives me the feeling that in one universe he did choose the "test subject" job and ended up being D-9341
Well, D-9341 has a different name.
It's also possible that the timeline Right Hand Man is sent to is just the timeline of an earlier failure where they wouldn't have had the chance to meet.
@Edward Hahm Ye right mate. D-9341's real name is Benjamin Oliver Walker. You can find it on Containment Breach when you trade your item in SCP-1162 aka Hole in the wall. I know that some of his name is cut off from his ID but that's all I can find.

yeah, but what happened to henry after?
2866hourman5 he gets sent to prison, then he escapes & steals the diamond & escapes successfully, he then infiltrates an airship & gets caught no matter what happens in the airship & is thus sent to the Wall even if he helps the government, he flees the complex & goes onto completing the mission where he does separate things in each universe depending on which ending combo he picks, (RPE & TB will result in Henry’s Mission being to take down & exact revenge on the Toppat Clan, resulting in the Revenged ending. RPE & GI will have Ellie take over as the leader of the Toppat Clan & try to kill Henry as revenge for abandoning her at the Wall, resulting in the Toppat Civil War ending etc.)
Even then there are different canons, because each fail is a different universe.

I feel like the “all endings are canon” thing is a shrödingers cat scenario, this is even alluded to in the box in escaping the prison. All the endings are canon until you go down a path that gets you one. Charles is dead and not dead until you get an ending.

In Stealing the Diamond, you can see that Henry's financial situation is desparate. Meaning that no matter which way Henry got out of prison, he would return to his life of crime. But the only crime Henry commited before EtP was Robbery, meaning that his sentence is temporary. He will definitely get out. And if he gets out, he returns to his life of crime, he will be able to complete the mission.

Funny enough, the REAL unanswered question remains in Breaking The Bank. How did Henry tie the disguise knot? I know that these games don't necessarily follow logic, but they have SOME explanation to them.

About the fact that Henry becomes hesitant of using the teleporter as evidence of his acknowledgement of his previous failures... Dude, I think you can become resistant anytime to use something you feel that wouldn't work. Henry just had a feeling that using the device wasn't duable, so he broke it.

The teleporter in Completing The Mission appears in Jewel Baron which can be accesed by choosing the endings Pure-Blooded Thief (ITA) and Presumed Dead (FTC). Interestingly enough, both of these endings have the teleporter as a choice....
Permafreux Dude, he’s willingly used the teleporter multiple times throughout the series, as well as other devices and he’s never gotten the feeling they wouldn’t work. Henry gets the sense that the teleporter has failed him multiple times, though not in his universe, which is why he stares at it for so long, before smashing it on the ground. Smashing it takes him to different locations. Lava, Ice, the shooting range he teleported in (from EtP) a white void (from StD) the outside of the bank, etc. Saying he smashed it because, “Henry had a feeling that using the device wasn’t duable (correct spelling is doable)” doesn’t connect, because this is henry stickmin.

First, let's start before ItA, since that's where things get messy.
There is only one way to go in BtB, so we don't have to consider that since that just multiplies our answer by one (which, obviously, just gives you the same number)
There are three ways to break out of the prison, and three ways to steal the diamond. That leads to nine possible combinations.
When we reach ItA and FtC, we're not actually just going to multiple the number of endings. After all, some of the ItA and FtC endings aren't compatible (you can't call the government to save you if you abandoned them). Luckily, we don't have to determine how many are compatible. CtM has already done that. There are sixteen ways Henry's life can play out from ItA onward.
Finally, we just multiply nine (the number of combinations of stealing the diamond and breaking out of jail) by sixteen (the number of endings in CtM) and we get 144.
Just because you get the Triple Threat ending, doesn't mean there aren't multiple ways to get to that point. For example, Henry might get Sneaky Escapist, then Intruder on a Scooter, then Government Supported Private Investigator, then Convict Allies. However, Lawyered Up, Just Plain Epic, Government Supported Private Investigator, then Convict Allies also leads to Triple Threat yet it's a unique combination of events for Henry's life to take.

That may be so, but the three endings of EtP & StD define only one output each, and therefore only have one output, albeit in nine different ways. So even these two games don't set a different fate and are like BtB in terms of consequences. And so we have 1+1+1 total of 3 consecutive endings before ItA & FtC determining Henry's future.
They are again 16 because it doesn't matter what endings are achieved in EtP & StD because they lead to the same stage in StD & ItA.

Here is my theory: It all starts and ends with the package, due to the package Henry escapes prison and does all the things that lead up to CtM and ultimatly, the multiverse imbalance. The package is in fact the cause of the imbalance. But as much as it is the cause of it, it is also the end. The CCC has to correct the multiverse imbalance, but why sending Henry the package, as that is the lead to the imbalance? Simple, a balance goes both ways, remove the package, and there will be too few multiverses, Henry would be stuck in prison forever , end of story. The CCC sends Henry the package through time and space creating the setup for multiple universes to exists, at the end of the day, the multiverse gets overloaded and has to be defragmented. The CCC does so making sure it stays in balance by sending the package to Henry. And then we've come full circle, the CCC will keep on balancing the multiverse for eternity, with or without knowing they've done it countless times before. This makes that we, the players, can make our own stories without messing up the multiverse and creating infinite possibilities. Henry will always complete his mission, but how he does that, is up to us.

Thinking about it, the CCC seems to be in EVERY universe. Is it possible that WE, the player, are the CCC looking over all the possible universes. It would make sense, or maybe a group that works against the CCC trying to cause chaos with Henry as their pawn. How does henry get all the other items he uses for his actions, we seen that the CCC can give an item to a universe, as they delivered the package to him. So who's to say they didn't also give him a ton of other items or ideas as well.
I like to think of it like the post-game of Hypnospace Outlaw. In HO, after the main events have unfolded you are left to archive all the various webpages on the micro-internet that was Hypnospace. Perhaps the player is a member of the CCC taking glimpses into other timelines and archiving what they see. The whitty remarks from the "narrator" could be your supervisor making comments on the archives you create and basically telling you "That one's a dud, move on."

I would like to note that these decisions concerning “everything is canon” that PuffBallsUnited made is probably set up to *support* their decision to make this the last Henry Stickmin entry...OR, its the other way around: this is how they decided to set up the Collection, but realized that if they were to make a sequel, it would be very hard, maybe even impossible, to do so without throwing away what was set in stone in the Collection.
So in a way, it’s good that they aren’t making a sequel...but then again...it would be possible to do it correctly. Heck, they pulled off the multiple endings combinations thing with Completing the Mission, so there’s that...
I agree. I have a similar reaction to people asking for Portal 3. The story (or in the collection's case, stories) ended perfectly, lets not fix what isn't broken. An Ellie-focused prequel, however, would be cool. Alas, that is not to be.
I personally like the idea that the whole story is being told in like a 6th person perspective. That they heard this story from a guy who heard it from another guy who heard it from another guy and the details are fuzzy so they're trying to figure it out while they tell it and it gets out of hand

Revenged - This ending might be the 2nd most saddest ending, after Henry was betrayed by Reginald he sought to have revenge after getting cybernetic enhancements by a russian girl, defeating the Reborned right hand man he later trapped Reginald by stapling him to the ceiling, Henry was about to escape when Reginald suddenly shoots him and rather's to take Henry with him, The Airship later crashed, Reginald dies due to injuries, Henry on the other hand was still alive but also dying, he cant move his cybernetics so he barely needs to walk using a stick, he later sits down on a rock tired, Henry later dies due to untreated injuries, this ending is sad if you realize that Ellie and Charles arent his friends in this time, he only got betrayed, but his actions are now justified, this ending is the only one Henry officially dying
Jewel Baron - Henry gains a life achievement by stealing 3 great jewels, he enjoys his life being a luxurious man
Triple Threat - Making the Toppat's rocket go into the wall, The Toppats might be possibly dead, or maybe some of them were arrested by the wall, Henry and Ellie on the other hand celebrates their victory with Charles and they possibly work together in future missions, the three of them might possibly be life time friends (Henry and Ellie might be lovers and Charles might be the third wheel) Note: I wouldnt have put this in here, the replies reminded me on this ending so give them a little credit
Multiverse Correction - Restarting the Stickman Universe, they send the same box again in Escaping the Prison, Meaning that the universe was only looped by Henry actions, this might be my 3rd saddest ending as the end screen says "Thank you"

Honestly, I'm with you dude. I wanna see Ellie's story and how she became so bad of a criminal that she would be sent to the wall. Because, when you think about it, she is as greedy as Henry, and she dosent seem to be bothered by killing, but besides that, what else is wrong with her? Theres no signs of psychopathy, PTSD, or any other condition surrounding her, shes just oddly normal, and seemingly just as prone to fail as Henry. If Puffballs really does make a game explaining her backstory, then I'm excited, because shes one of my favorite characters from the game. (2nd place to Charles, but one above Henry)
As long as all the endings lead Ellie to the Wall, that would be perfectly reasonable since the specifics of whatever she did to end up there aren’t ever mentioned.
Unless she did have a role during CtM, in parts that we weren't always seeing? Off on her own mission perhaps?
But it is an interesting observation that her own path might not be as pre-determined as Henry's.
That being said, I bet there would still be room for her to have a prequel story that ended there. Considering Henry was hunted by the Wall no matter what his specific crimes were - they could target Ellie for numerous things, even beyond what we specifically see in a game of her.

I think for Stealing the Diamond it'd be Unseen Burglar since in Jewel Baron they say it's presumed that the Toppat Clan stole the Tunisian Diamond

What's weird is, in the original Infiltrating the Airship, it shows that he was found in the wall after using the teleporter, the hole he used to escape sneakily, and the penny he used to steal the diamond sneakily, which assumes he did everything sneakily which is why the government chose him. That seemed to be retconned in CtM, where the path you chose up to this point become the things they point out.

ie. All the Star Wars movies are canon. The Mandelorian TV show is canon to that series as well. All the AU novels are not canon. And despite being officially produced, are considered high production fan-fiction

There's also that path where he works with 3 government operatives to disrupt the launch, the scene is called "a game by puffpalls United" and it open with a fairly cinimatic scene with opening credits, that path also seemed pretty canonical to me

In an alternate universe without COVID, you do. However in our universe, you can't. However, in our universe, you go in 2 years once you can afford it again. This isn't because you know that "oh yeah in this previous timeline I went to Europe", it's because you wanted to the entire time but weren't able to due to restraints. Charles always wanted to call something "the greatest plan" but couldn't because nothing was fitting until either of those situations, they just happened to be in different timelines.

The quote shown from Puffballs, "Making one ending the 'real ending' defeats the purpose of choosing your own path," is an especially good idea to reference in games where a morality system is present. Shadow the Hedgehog contained a last story that essentially retconned every ending. Doing it this way may seem boring, but it makes too much sense.
Btw Henry is also aware of all the fails, he remembers, just look at how his interactions with the teleprompter evolve
This doesn't add anything really but its interesting that the government probably only got involved after stealing the diamond because they assumed the diamond was stolen by the Toppat Clan, considering their history of stealing large jewls. Then they investigated further and found that Henry was responsible, and you know the rest.

Ok so if the ccc have sent Henry that box which required the defragmention process to start we have a sort of chicken and egg scenario. There would have to be a branch where Henry escapes on his own without the package from the ccc, but that wouldn't really make sense with the whole "limited amount of outcomes/branches" thing
Exactly what came to my mind. The package didn't need to be from some multiverse conspiracy, it could have been from a family member, or a previous partner in crime, or maybe even Ellie, who knows.
I like the idea that Henry is aware of all of these other dimensions, and someone made a good point in the comments, saying that EVERYTIME Henry uses the teleporter, he starts to get more and more hesitant, until destroying it out of doubt. Now this would also explain the very wacky ways Henry is able to succeed, he explored literally every option he had until it worked out, no matter how bizarre it seemed. It would also explain the very simple fails, such as just just eating cheese, or eating a cupcake, or choosing to do nothing. It’s most likely just to see what would happen, because anything else as simple usually succeeds (the cloud drawing for example, and the sandwich in FTC)

I feel like unseen burglar wouldn’t be canon because he sells the diamond. In the future we then see him with the diamond.
Fun fact: there’s a chance that all the “main” characters (ellie, henry and charles) have a minor sense of timeline knowledge(spoilers ahoy)
Henry: someone else mention the whole “teleportation” idea, which I don’t wanna mention for the sake of “stealing.” But to tl;dr it, henry becomes more scared of the item per game.
Also minor point, apparently punching people through timelines doesn’t break the multiverse (henry’s jojo spirit punched someone into a timeline where the two didn’t meet) but a bunch of fails does? Is it because this was a fail that this overloaded the multiverse? If this was the main route (as in the right option), would this have even done anything to the timeline?
Charles: there are three things he says that i wanna bring up (all in CTM). In FTC, when you select the “charles” option, he says “this is the greatest plan” before failing you. And right before dying in the “valiant hero” ending, he says “you could say that this was the greatest plan.”
Selecting charle’s plan in CTM has henry and charles talking. I’ll only abbreviate the whole convo for typing reasons

It should he noted that there’s a high chance charles never mentioned the plan in FTC and ITA because of henry’s shocked expression each time before he fails, except he’s aware of it now and agrees with it.
Final point: This is in one of the intro cutscenes. Charles mentions a plan then says “you could say, we’re going to _complete the mission_ ,” only for ellie to go “why did your voice change?” If that isn’t a fourth wall break, I don’t know what is.
Ellie: ok I’m kinda just assuming since she’s a main character, despite her not only not being aware of charles’ plan, but also the fourth wall break I mentioned.
All together, it’s safe to assume that the main cast have _simple_ timeline/multiverse knowledge. It isn’t really useful to them (as in they are only related to fails and stuff), but it’s safe to say they have it
Also the “fail narrator” being thing _defiantly_ has timeline knowledge and manipulation because of, not only the references, but the fact that THEY MADE A LOCK APPEAR ON THE DOOR JUST SO HENRY CAN LOCK PICK IT AND FAIL

I wouldn’t call the main cast “all knowing” just “knowing” since it’s not like they tried to abuse it at one point :b then again, henry does technically have the option to “load the game” (unless the narrator does that) and do some specific game stuff like “clipping through surfaces” , “corrupting the world” and “hacking/being banned”
Also wouldn’t be surprised is the “fail narrator” either helps/controls harry or just laughs at every “stupid” thing harry does. Tho i think it’s the latter cause unless they’re the one providing all the options (even then that overloads the multiverse and most of them dont work), they don’t intervene directly. Heck, the only example that i know that the narrator directly changed something is to add a lock pick, and that ended with a fail

No, because it is possible that all main characters know, or at least the ones that have been on screen the most.
It doesn't make sense, it's just a joke. Puffball as said multiple times that no ending is more canon than the other and there is nothing to add to that since he's the creator. He even said it wouldn't make sense to have a canon ending since it would ruin the very point of a "Choose your own adventure" story.

As others have already said, Henry does seem aware of the various fails and different outcomes, but I've noticed he also seems aware of the *player.* There's a few times where he looks directly at the screen (or "camera"), indicating he knows the player is there and is questioning their choices. For example:
-In "Infiltrating the Airship", when choosing the "Leap" option to get across the gap between the Records and Vault/Cells, Henry first looks straight at the camera with a hesitant look on his face before jumping, as if to say "You're really picking THAT option?"
-In one of the Teleporter fails (I think it may be the one in "Fleeing the Complex"), Henry hesitates for a *long* moment, looking between the Teleporter and the camera with an extremely unamused and pouty expression, before finally deciding to use it.
It may be worth mentioning that Charles looks directly at the camera and breaks the fourth wall as well (in his "we'll have no problems... _Completing the Mission."_ dialogue), but Charles is also just a goof in general.
By explaining and re-evaluating choices of the series, you helped me find an even greater love for Henry Stickman. I definitely wouldn't have figured out what happened with the cake, I had assumed it was added, not that unseen timelines were erased. On that topic, the CCC seems to have an insane amount of power. How does that work?

People talk about how sad the "Valiant Hero" ending is yet I never hear anyone talk about the "Revenged" ending. In FtC The Toppat Clan helps Henry break out only to betray him at the last second by dropping him in the middle of the ocean seemingly to die only to be saved by some nurse who gave Henry some robotic upgrades. Henry uses said Robotic Upgrades to seek revenge on The Toppat Clan and he eventually does but starts to regret it thinking it wasn't worth it because now Henry has no one.
At least with the Valiant Hero ending he had Charles until he died and still has The Government on his side but with The Revenged ending he has no one which honestly makes me sad in a different way than the Valiant Hero ending does.
Because Henry doubts every time he uses the teleport since it fails most of the time, this means that he is aware of his fails, so that means that this is basically a game version of "live, die, repeat".
I’ll always fight for Triple Threat to be my ending, it is my favorite, everyone’s alive, and they go on missions together? How adorable is that??

they should make a quick easy last game called "breaking the loop" or something like that to wrap up the endings that didnt close the story
It's basically a cliffhanger. An open ended ending. What actually happens won't be documented, it's up to the player to think of what would happen next.

Here's my theory: the imbalance is caused by the invisible pill fail from updated Stealing The Diamond.
With every other fail, Henry is still tracked, but in this fail they loose track of him, causing the rest of that timeline to be untracked. (and might lead to the multiverse capacity being hit quicker and quicker)
if there's ever a new game, i would LOVE to see Henry interact with the CCC directly. It could probably answer a lot of questions, too.

I understand that all endings and deaths are Canon. But for me the most Canon is the Triple Threats ending. Having Henry, Ellie and Charles working together as elite team is the best.
My theory: Henry is going through a Groundhog day scenario: the beginning of the loop starts with the box in ETP and end at ???, then he wakes up in prison with faint memory of the past loop
I think it's a different Henry everytime. Once Completing the Mission ends Henry is no longer affected by the "constantly branching timelines" thing and he can live like any other person, not ending up in fails all the time.

In the cutscene of ItA the things that are shown on screen vary depending on your previous choices, although the dialogue doesn't. For example, if in StD you used the 'Penny' option whilst on the roof, there will be a penny taped to folder with a note saying that it has Henry's fingerprint on it.
