Morty Prime?
@@kashifreza1993 I guess so. Wouldn't that also make him "the one true Morty?"
@Kashif Reza Yes, he's the one true morty, which is probably why rick goes out of his way to make sure that morty never gets replaced.

This is unrelated, but I never understood that cliche in movies. Villains love to give speeches so why doesn't the hero kill them while they're monologuing? I mean why does the hero just stand there and patiently waiting for them to finish talking? It's a waste of an opportunity.
@@catdogmousecheese Plot laziness - how else to explain what the villain had in mind?
This scene subverts that trope in two ways: the (justified, IMHO) villain kills the So-called hero, and the villain admits that he had no plan - he was thrown into that dimension as well as Morty.
@@catdogmousecheese so WE the audience could know whats going on. If theres no monologue then its just a fight scene with no background.
@@catdogmousecheese This trope was referenced in The Incredibles, as in way back in 2004, when Mr. Incredible tries to throw something at Syndrome mid-monologue, and at two different points in the movie, no less. Syndrome even gives Mr. Incredible props for doing so. It's a trope that people have been aware of for a very long time now, is what I'm saying.

This Rick left Beth when she was very little. He also says he never really understood the concept of Jerry. He never really met Morty before this episode or Jerry.

This is Rick Prime. The whole reason why he is back in this universe is that when Rick C-137 reset interdimensional travel, he sent every Rick and Morty in the multiverse back to their original universe (including the dead ones.)
That's also why Rick Prime has no clue why he's back in his original universe; he was brought there by C-137 Rick's shenanigans.

Except our Rick.
Gotta hand it to Jerry; he took a chance to kill Rick and, despite realizing his failure, simply accepts his fate. The last thing he does is ask why Rick is there, but he doesn’t beg or try anything else; he simply accepts his demise. That’s how you know this Jerry has truly changed; he lost every reason to embrace cowardice and lost everything. Prime Rick may have killed him in cold blood, mid sentence, but Jerry wasn’t fazed at all.
Rick’s compliment towards Jerry kinda makes sense when you think about it. If our Rick’s lifestyle is anything to go off of, there’s a good chance he’s so used to getting shot at that he’s impressed when someone’s actually brave enough to try an up close attack
Imagine another version of this where Jerry actually succeeded in killing Rick prime, and c137 just spent two seasons chasing a ghost.

Jerry said he wanted to team up just to distract Rick and attack him by surprise (which he does, he attacks him without even making him finish talking). If Jerry really wanted to team up with Prime to hunt Morty he wouldn't have tried to kill Prime who says he WANTED TO HUNT MORTY, or at least he would have insisted on more than 2 seconds counted for an alliance.

It’s possible that Rick Prime won’t be a big villain until the next season.
Yes.
yeah, we haven't seen him, like, at all. aren't we also around 5 episodes in?, either he comes back when the portal gun is narratively reintroduced or he's just gone already, as the only reason we got a shot at him by now was cause it could be confirmed that he was in a specific dimension thanks to resetting all portal travellers which he couldn't live without. so unless they plan to open another galactic tear which cost millions of ricks and as much natural portal fluid i personally don't see any simple way they could possible find him by the end of this season, even montages can't flip through realities and ricks that fast...
And then they'll resolve his whole arc in one underwhelming episode.
I guess we have wait 2 more seasons, like for evil morty.
Probably. The writers are already writing season 7.
I think Rick is gonna find Jerry's corpse, somehow download the contents of his last memories before he died - and then figure out a way to track Rick Prime down in S7

"managing people, such a headache"
what I just realized in Rick's crybaby backstory, is that he probably was getting close to prime rick and those other Ricks he killed were part of prime Rick's group.
He wasn’t that close because one of the last sci fi ricks he kills had a cube showing multiples of other rick contacts that he destroys before being shot by c137 destroying his real trail to rick prime before average non related ricks join together because they see c137 as a unstoppable killer Rick who won’t stop.
I was thinking the same thing because some of the Ricks (mainly be on the sci-fi stylish ones) that our Rick kills were part of the Prime's group, as those Ricks LOOKS distinctive and outcast-ish that there's NO other Ricks are seen today in the show.
Rick Prime. I never realized how using the word prime emphasized his power over every rick, especially C137. Rick Prime, the only person possibly ever to CONSISTENTLY outsmart Rick C137 who was already stated to be the smartest man in the Universe, possibly Multiverses. Rick Prime is on another level
I wonder if Rick Prime would've left Croneneberg Jerry live if he hadn't slit his throat, Rick seemed rather peaceful and neutral with him prior to that happening so OG Jerry's death possibly could've been avoided if he hadn't resolved to violence, although it's possible he would've still killed him after their little chit chat but we'll never know.

Eh, maybe a Rick Prime v. Evil Morty hour-long special or two/three/four-parter, but not a whole season. Even if they are two of the show's most engaging characters right now, I don't think they're engaging enough to carry an entire season by themselves.

We see Jerry die three times in one episode.
We see Rick die thousands of times in citadel episodes.
The other two times must be

That sounds like something they would do. Remember Worldender?
I like how he seems to be the same and way different than c 137 rick. Obviously he is but they did a great job conveying that feeling too.
A reminder that chronenberged jerry is jerry prime
This Jerry was too cool to be left alive. The writers could not allow him to live.
Sadly.
You know the funny thing is, even though this Rick doesn't view it this way, this is technically his OG son-in-law that he is talking to.
It's not like other versions of themselves that hop dimensions. This is literally just their own original versions of themselves talking to each other

The fact this version jerry was the most clossed to kill prime rick than rick him self
You know it occurs to me that if Rick really wanted to catch Rick Prime, he just has to reset portal travelers and go back right? Like set up a quick portal for Jerry ahead of time so he can get back to the main family, then Rick portals to Cronenburged Dimension (Dimension Prime?), picks up Morty, then he just portals to Rick Prime and attacks right?
Alternatively, if he hadn't broken the dinosaurs portal pistol he could have shut down portal travel, reset travelers, then used the portal pistol to teleport himself to Rick Prime.
Yeh they kind of solved that problem both Beth’s and summer come from a reality where there planet is f**coed now
Yeah, another full-scale traveller reset would at least require some way to prevent the Beth and Summer from being sent back to Mr Frundles, who might actually be the entire universe now if he can propel himself through space.
If he did that summer and beth (plus space beth) would go back to the frundled dimension and get bitten instantly.
Our rick now cares about his family, so i don't think he'll want to try something like that.
I think it's interesting that this Rick has a noticably unique way of speaking; what I mean is using calming/condescending nicknames like little guy or buddy. Maybe he did that only with Jerry IDK
This Rick actually sees himself as above humanity; other humans are lesser, irrational, hunger/survival motivated beings.
So he says “hey little guy” like talking to a chimp or something.
I mean Jerry started it. Rick Prime didn‘t seem like he was going to kill or hurt him.
So he completely deserves it.
I mean he was badass though, even Rick Prime accepted that.
It’s survival of the fittest in Jerry’s world and Rick most definitely would have some valuables on him that Jerry would need to survive so I don’t really judge Jerry for doing so.

I have a uncanny suspicion that they’re going to ask for evil morty for help and it’s going to be a reference to going to thanos on his farm, talking about rocks destroying other rocks or something.
Rocks? Lol
Wow you weren't wrong
Something that doesn’t get mentioned is how RP most likely wasn’t going to hurt Jerry. He compliments him and even tries to banter with him like a pal. It’s all Ricks’ toxicity that causes Jerry to try and kill him. So Jerry’s reasons for doing so aren’t really important.
What we should take from this is that RP doesn’t seem to go looking for trouble. He only kills Jerry after he tried to kill him first.
That’s what makes Rick and Morty antagonists unique. They’re not motivated by usually villain motives. RP truly is the Rickest Rick.
We don't really know he wasn't going to hurt Jerry, he never really got to that point since Jerry attacked first.
The way Rick laughs while his slit throat just regenerates was creepy
Like our Rick not being able to tolerate Morty correcting him on his “granted” usage, I suspect that Rick Prime couldn’t tolerate there being a competent, capable Jerry that ~technically~ posed a minuscule threat (if not for his Wolverine-esque regen sequence)
Everyone seems to forget that this jerry is the original jerry
This season has been phenomenal
All Jerry heard before dying, "Buddy I've been asking myself that--."
Shows how little Rick cares. Not gonna waste his time monologuing to a guy he knows is gonna die
@@jordanloux3883 He don't care anything and anyone at all. Rick C137 still have his humanity left. This Rick/the True Rickest Rick/Darkest Evilest Worst Most Dangerous Rick don't...
Wish they would of not killed him off, he could of added new dynamic to the family, like what if Space Beth and Feral Jerry met.
Do Note how Smartly Jerry baited him out, I believe he just faked the team up part of things to get him to Monologue and eventually kill him…
However, Jerry being Jerry didn’t realise who he was up against and that ended up getting him killed in the end
MArk of a truly *SMART* villain; Shoot them in the *middle* of your monologue. People always expect you to kill them at the *end* of it, not the middle.
Cronenberg jerry will return mark my words.
Cronenberg Jerry, Evil Morty, Rick Prime, Night Summer, Space Beth. This combination would be the ultimate Smith family!
Hey guys, i wanted to run a theory by you.
It is possible that Rick Prime could have extended/upgraded his knowledge and power of his portal gun. By making himself a Quantum entity that can exist in multiple realities at once! For example think of characters like The Lutece twins from Bioshock or Core!Frisk from undertale. The Lutece twins are two versions of the same person who invented multiverse travel, except one was male and the other was female. They treated eachother like siblings. But they were killed when their machine was sabotaged. They were killed by their portal device and turned into a sort of Quantum ghost! They were able to travel through the multiverse, being able to exist anywhere and everywhere at the same time, their only weakness is they cannot travel back to their original universes or else they will become mortal. Core!Frisk had a shared a similar fate. When he was thrown into the lava of the Core (a large building/machine that converted heat/lava into magic energy/electricity) they were removed from their timeline and scattered across the multiverse. Now (no longer being Frisk) Core!Frisk can exist (have a body) in every universe all at the same time. He literally had a mind that could control one body per universe. So what if Rick Prime has the same power? There have been theories that he embodies Rick's most narcissistic/F'd up quality. The belief that he is a God. So what if Rick Prime stopped showing other Ricks how to create/have interdimensional travel? What if instead he got bored of that and decided to become an actual God, by scattering his consciousness to every part of the multiverse he could find? Sounds pretty accurate in Rick's case, as he always brags how he is an immortal/omnipotent God and its impossibility for anyone to actually kill him.
prime Rick is a nihilist living in more memories he has no desire to control the universe like the villains of marvel he is a much more realistic villain does whatever he wants he doesn't care about the universe his greatest pleasure is to crush the other person and walk on it
@@Visionar.t my main point is thats probably why he's everywhere at the same time. Thats probably what his powers are.

He killed him before he even finished his sentence!
That's badass!
Prime Rick and prime Jerry meet for the first time and try to kill each other almost instantly
The thing is this would be an actual cool team up though like imagine an episode where it’s cronenberg Jerry and Rick prime vs c-137 Rick and morty it would be amazing
“I was naked to fuckwithaguy… speaking of” one of the best lines in the show
I feel like our Jerry is gonna end up dying in the finale.
Why?
That was the scene from Highlander, there can only be One!
This Rick ain't playing around
The “fatality” that Jerry throws out is everything.
Adult swim putting this scene in youtube means only one thing: We are going to see Rick Prime in s6 e7
So Rick Prime basically killed his own Jerry.
This Jerry will live on in my memory
Cronenberg Jerry was a beast slayer. He should have lasted longer. 😢
It’s even worse once you realise that Jerry is Jerry prime
"...or a little kid around here?"
He doesn't know what or who Morty is.
Rick Prime left before Morty was born. But he should have met other Morty's throughout the multiverse? Makes you wonder what exactly he's been doing all these years.
That was his Jerry too
