The Search for Rick Prime | Rick and Morty | adult swim - Krátké a kreslené filmy
I weirdly love just how uncomfortable Morty looked, like he actually is realizing why Rick didn’t want to involve him in it but now he’s already waist deep
Because you asked for it, Morty!
Pizza 🍕
I'm sure it had nothing to do with what Morty or the robot said he definitely only said that to manipulate Morty into coming along because it'd be silly to go in the battle with his toughest adversary and leave his human shield at home
@@luvmenow33 serious question here. Why are people so against the idea of rick actually caring about morty? I mean, he's literally risked his life for morty in season 2 episode 1 and in the toxic rick and morty episode he admitted to feeling "irrational" attachment to morty
And the moments where Morty's trying to back away slowly without Rick noticing, and Rick just pulls him back closer each time 😂
I think this is one of the first times we’ve seen Rick admit he was wrong and not blame anyone else for it.
Yeah...people get tired of pretending of caring after so many times.
No its not. Hes admitted wrong multiple times before.
I think this season (except the episode 9) have many moment where Rick is not blaming much on anything else when he got something wrong.
I bet he has a reason for it. Maybe Morty is some piece in an elaborate trap to catch Rick Prime.
In Full Meta Rick he does. After ret Chaan turns the six's fortress into an orange.
This is the first time Morty hasn't freaked out watching Rick go on a rant about future seasons. He looks hesitant but more in a mindful way, less in a panicky, we're gonna die sort of way
i'd say he is more scared than panic as this is so much more grounded and dangerous to rick than before, it's a violent shift and while he matured , he isn't prepared for THAT
He was basically just told that everything else in his life has been put on hold because now he just put himself right in the middle of Rick's 24/7 hunt for Rick Prime. And I guarantee it wasn't because of what the robot said he definitely realized that Rick primes the toughest adversary he's ever going up against so he would be silly to go into battle without his human shield
Thats caracter development right there
Rick Prime was so crafty he got his own voice actor in another dimension to hit his wife so Rick c137 can’t kill him.
0:45 The worst part is while we can see Rick absolutely suffering and breaking down , we can see the smile and complete disregard by Rick Prime in the background
Not every episode, Morty!
Tf does that even mean. It’s a still image like a wanted poster
He's in pain sure but 95% of what he says and does is obviously because he's on drugs. There's a reason why there's that green drool coming from his mouth and he's the smartest mammal in the universe.
@@SunDevi1s66 i think it’s meant to be symbolic, rick prime doesn’t care, and our Rick is defined by him

This was some good voice acting. I actually felt Rick's pain in his voice.
Justin is a talented guy
Yeah, i wqs looking for comments like this. You can feel Rick's pain in this. He spent his whole life hunting him before begging of Ram. In S5 E10 we could see Rick's crybaby backstory, Rick Prime detonating his family, him going after him, destroying Citidel, Rebuilding it, And coming to a dimension where Beth isnt dead, but left of. Thinking about this all this time Beth thinks he left him, but he just gave up and find a version of alive Beth, one thing is bugging me. If there are alive Versions of Beth, why on god Earth isnt there a version with both Beth and Diane are alive
Rick’s voice has developed so much since season 1, I love where it’s at now
@@ManhTran-mb6uz I have some bad news then

S5 premiere was about about Mr Nimbus and Morty in some narnia-like world.
@@Indictioned I don't mean literally the premiere and the season finale, I mean episodes in general.
The score in the background is amazing, the scene was so dramatic for a comedy show.
Years ago in an interview Dan Harmon said that a big part of the show is that Rick is never building towards one big goal and they’ve officially retconned that concept into hunting down Rick Prime. As a tv writer with a burner account 👀, I think that this will make the show fresher than it’s ever been, but it’s a slippery slope if episodes don’t contain anything that progresses the Rick Prime storyline. People may skip out on the filler episodes altogether. Either way, I’m excited that they’re shaking things up this scene gave me chills
Yeah, theyve made something that has to conclude now , but while possibly running in a background lane, which can't go unnoticed obviously 🤔 but I don't think they'll miss that. The main character is the smartest person in the universe and from a viewer standpoint I can see that becoming one of the greatest memes possibly of all time if it occurs🫥
Pre season 3 he was moving past it a bit.
I hadn't watched this show since season 3 since I kinda just got bored with it. The serialized stuff is what makes it really fun for me. All the random one-off gag episodes just get dull for me. Season 6 really brought me back, it was a fun balance of one off jokes with some actual story going on.
@@boat1280 Absolutely. For me the only gimmick that was entertaining was the night people episode because it felt like a classic episode where they play out a trope instead of pointing out the trope and calling it stupid (like the sun episode and most of the others)

Same
I think what Rick means when he says “That’s all the places he is” is that Rick Prime has something more evolved than Operation Phoenix, something like the Horcruxes from Harry Potter that Voldemort has. Rick Prime can’t ever really die because his essence spread throughout the multiverse in parts.
Shower thought I had about Rick Prime and C-137:
What if the Central Finite Curve wasn't a ploy to protect Rick's from outside forces like Evil Morty said?
What if it was actually a trap?
C-137 couldn't find Prime in his initial hunt, despite killing potentially thousands of other Rick's. And I think the reason for this is given in the first meeting between Prime and C-137. Prime says with portal technology C-137 would become a God, the "infinite Rick." Basically, Rick Prime isn't just a moniker. He is, in fact, the original Rick. The first and the one where every single other time-line and universe spawn from. Due to this, he's "technically" every other Rick in the multiverse, all at once, an "Infinite Rick".
Compounding this problem is the infinite multiverse. It's bad enough that Prime is nearly impossible to track due to him constantly inadvertently and purposely creating new Rick's, and having better tech, but he's also spread across an infinite number of places. An infinite in an infinite.
But C-137 devised a way to make the universes not be infinite. The Central Finite Curve wasn't developed to keep Rick's safe, like the Council wanted, it was to quarantine every possible Rick into a cage. Once the cage is full, Prime Rick wouldn't be able to make any more Rick's and wouldn't have anywhere else he could run to.
That's why we suddenly see Prime appear after Evil Morty leaves. In one shot, most of the Rick's in the Curve are gone, meaning it's finally possible to begin tracking Prime. He's still the "Infinite Rick" and all over the place all at once. But the spaces where he could be aren't infinite anymore.
Mic drop
rAAAh
I think you might be incorrect here. The central finite curve didn't make the multiverse finite. It just "seperates the infinite univerves from the infinite universes where rick is the smartest man in the universe". Yes, that does narrow the area rick C-137 needs to look at but it's still infinite, not finite.
And about the "most of the rick's in the curve are gone" thing, like i said, there are infinite universes where rick is the smartest man in the universe so when evil morty killed the ricks in the citadel, he didn't kill off most of the ricks in the curve. Actually he didn't even kill off 0.0000000000001% of the ricks in the curve, because the curve is infinite, he didn't even make a scratch, not to mention a dent.
The reason why rick C-137 started tracking down rick prime again is because the portal was reset and everyone was sent back to their original universe, including rick prime, and repairing the portal gun also takes a while so that enables rick C-137 to have a better chance at finding rick prime.
I just had a thought. I’ve always wondered how Rick prime is multiple places at once, but I think I might have just realized it, time travel. Rick C-137 always hated it and although he never specified why maybe it’s because that’s the tech Rick prime offered him.
Everyone asumes it was the portal gun, but look at every mention of that initial encounter and you’ll notice it was never said that was the tech he wanted to share with him. Sure he shows him his own portal gun when he asks what, but what if that specific portal gun could travel through the multiverse AND moments in time. It would better describe what Rick prime said, as he said he’d be the infinite Rick. However most Ricks have a standard portal gun and can travel the multiverse if the Citadel is any indication.
If he can travel through time with it as well though he could be in a single moment in multiple spaces. This is shown in that episode Morty is bitten by a snake when he exits the car.
I’ve simply always felt like the normal portal gun isn’t what Rick prime wanted to give him
Love when the seasons ends like this. Laugh so hard
DROP THE SOUNDTRACK NOW

I can't possibly imagine what would happen if or when Rick Prime and Evil Morty meet for the very first time. See ya in Season 7, everyone!
I don't think Evil Morty and Prime Rick will cooperate or something like this...

Don't Worry. You'll find out once we get to The Seventh Season. I hope they team up together.
I think RIck Prime is so smart and calculating that the duo will have to resort to desperate measures, ask help from Evil Morty
Evil Morty WAS Rick Prime’s own Morty.
@@Notyourstodisclose wrong. Rick Prime is OUR Morty's Rick.
I thknk that the most tragic thing about this episode is how it took the backstory reveal from last season, something that was meant to show that, even with Rick's myriad amount of issues, he's still more worthy of sympathy than not, and turned it into a decidedly unsympathetic element of his character. Rick was spurned into obsessively hunting Rick Prime from a sub-basement for a few weeks and replacing himself with a fake-nice robot all because Morty said he was boring, he missed out on having a nice Christmas for the sake of it, is clearly backsliding in his character development, and despite him saying he's taking Morty's help with finding Rick Prime so that he doesn't have to do it alone, it looks and feels a lot more like he's not only throwing his life away for the sake of revenge, but Morty's life away as well. Rick clearly wants to either kill Rick Prime or be killed by Rick Prime, and seems perfectly OK with having Morty be killed alongside him for this. Rick and Morty a hundred years, after all. If they keep everything consistent and actually do make it clear that the hunt for Rick Prime is always going on through the entirety of Season 7, then forget Season 3, Season 7 will be the ACTUAL darkest year of their adventures.

Really good season, shoutout to all involved, namely the writers
Everyone thought season 6 was going to be them hunting for Rick Prime, but it was really just building it up to season 7. Which I'm fine with. I think the arc deserves an entire season of its own.
Also, with every new episode everyone says "wow is Rick hEaLiNg or getting cHaRaCtEr DeVeLoPmEnT?" and of course he never does. But I think season 7 really will be just that. I mean, finally a conclusion to his.. life story basically. It's gonna get emotional and everything I bet.

"It's not all the places he could be, it's all the places he is."
Well, on one hand, that sounds crazy. On the other hand... it's just natural. If parallel realities are created all the time as a result of different decisions, then of course Rick Prime would keep multiplying like every other being in the multiverse. There was a point in time when he originated, and the next moment after that there were already infinite other versions of him.
So... if Rick wishes to take revenge not just by killing him, but by killing every version of him, then yeah... that sounds impossibly sisyphean.
No one asked shadow
But if every universe come from every decision made then there would an infinity of citadels, an infinity of Evil Morty, but most importantly an infinity of our Rick. So I don’t think Rick and Morty multiverse work like that.
I think you just made up a load of your own plot.
It's much more likely Rick Prime has taken action to avoid detection. Like he cloned himself, or added fake signals or...whatever.
I do not think that is how the multiple universes comes(at least in the show). They are actual different universes, full stop. That is why you can give universes names like C-137 and not have infinite ricks/Morties saying they are from C-137
There are infinite timelines but they are different from the infinite Realities.
But it's said that there are infinite universes. I don't think this infinite stays constant. How could it? That would mean that there was just this given set of universes when existence began. That doesn't sound right. So if it's growing, it will have to multiply existing characters.
he's in all these places, so that means he's omnipotent, right? I mean, he hasn't aged a bit since the first time we saw him, he regenerates if someone tries to kill him. he can even mess with Rick c-137 for years like he's just messing around. This is another level. and now that the travel portal is working again, who knows where the hell he is now.

help im so exited to hopefully see more rick and prime screen time together plus this ending looks amazing + awsome.
Hey guys, i wanted to run a theory by you.
It is possible that Rick Prime could have extended/upgraded his knowledge and power of his portal gun. By making himself a Quantum entity that can exist in multiple realities at once! For example think of characters like The Lutece twins from Bioshock or Core!Frisk from undertale. The Lutece twins are two versions of the same person who invented multiverse travel, except one was male and the other was female. They treated eachother like siblings. But they were killed when their machine was sabotaged. They were killed by their portal device and turned into a sort of Quantum ghost! They were able to travel through the multiverse, being able to exist anywhere and everywhere at the same time, their only weakness is they cannot travel back to their original universes or else they will become mortal. Core!Frisk had a shared a similar fate. When he was thrown into the lava of the Core (a large building/machine that converted heat/lava into magic energy/electricity) they were removed from their timeline and scattered across the multiverse. Now (no longer being Frisk) Core!Frisk can exist (have a body) in every universe all at the same time. He literally had a mind that could control one body per universe. So what if Rick Prime has the same power? There have been theories that he embodies Rick's most narcissistic/F'd up quality. The belief that he is a God. So what if Rick Prime stopped showing other Ricks how to create/have interdimensional travel? What if instead he got bored of that and decided to become an actual God, by scattering his consciousness to every part of the multiverse he could find? Sounds pretty accurate in Rick's case, as he always brags how he is an immortal/omnipotent God and its impossibility for anyone to actually kill him.

They say this and then nothing really happen, and also a lot of filler episodes, which is fine, but most of them now are garbage imo.
“Hunting my nemesis”
Oh he meant Mr Nimbusss?😂
OST IS BEAUTIFULL
When rick says its impossible to find him..
You know how smart rick prime actually is
Rick and Rick Prime are on the same level of intelligence. The difference is when Rick thinks of a way to find Prime, in that same instance Prime immediately thinks of a contingency. In the same way Rick thinks and cares about the family, prime does not. Basically they're two sides to the same coin, and when has "heads" ever been able to catch "tails".
"Welcome to my darkness" really says it all. "This is what's wrong with me. I'm not hiding it anymore." Wubba lubba dub dub indeed.
This isn't entirely my original theory, but an idea for how Rick Prime is "everywhere" is because he's learned to pull an Agent Smith on other Ricks. After he failed to recruit Our Rick and that led to him going on an autocidal rampage Rick Prime decided that if other Ricks aren't going to become like him on their own he'll FORCE them to. So he uses some science-gizmo to convert maveRicks into Rick Primes.
Neat and darkly fitting pun

If I had a time machine, one of the things Id do is go to the future and buy a photon encoded with all 5000 seasons of rick and morty
rick stopped drinking beer. there are empty cans of energy drinks all over the place instead.
This is the dawn of a new age for this show and I’m not going to lie I’m pretty excited
Don't blame Rick here. He gave Morty and his family a perfect robot that brought happiness while he was focusing on his goal. Morty ruined it, again. He could've accepted the robot as his grandpa and be happy with it. He also ruined his family's happiness by revealing that. Morty choosed this 🤔
You’d feel just the tiniest bit petty too if a family member deserted you and lied to you just to go on some revenge plot that’s probably going to be forgotten about midway into the next season.
@@boydixonentertainment Rick made a nicer robot of himself to keep his family happy so they wouldn’t feel abandoned by him but Morty had to snitch on his grandfather yet again like he did with that suicide note proving what a little 💩 he is!
@@suzie_lovescats Exactly! Morty's ain't no saint himself.
So when yall bringing Roland back, my guy was acquitted 👏🏾
We see in the season finale that Rick Prime is in several universes at the same time, as Rick says afterwards. What if Prime wants to become a multiversal being, that is, to exist in all universes at the same time, therefore he conducts experiments with a transcendent state and quantum entanglement. If anything, being the embodiment of the multiverse does not always mean some kind of control over it, only beings with multiversal physiology can control it
Several universes? I thought that was only a galaxy
@@luckyperga why would Rick Prime be in the same universe where Rick is?
@@zeleeba8774 idk, only questioning it now
@@zeleeba8774 we don't know whether those are "several universes" or not
So like Jobu Topaki in Everything Everywhere All at Once? Cool theory tho
For those that said Rick's development throughout the season is now dogshit: It's part of the process that Rick is regressing back into hunting Rick Prime. It's not undoing all of his character development for this season and he still wants to change
Well it doesn’t make sense to say his progress is reverted since the robot has replaced him for one episode, not the entire season
@@emmuzboosh yeah I knew that but some disregarded his whole development all for one regression at the end of the season and thought he can never change
I consider Rick bothering himself to create a robot version of himself that's nicer towards his family character development.
Rick & Morty 100 years!!! 🤣
It’ll be weird seeing Rick and Morty, people who usually do fun things and don’t really have a rhyme or reason for what they do commit to a common goal, but I’m all for it.
rick comes for revenge how badly
I might be only 15 but I've seen every episode of Season 1 2 3 4 5 and 6 of Rick and Morty and I love this show
can't wait for season 6 where we get to see the plot regarding rick prime get a whopping 5 more minutes of screentime
3 minutes for the first episode and the last 2 for the season finale
You mean 7
