The fact that Morty just abandoned his ACTUAL family, the ones who raised him, to go sprinting off in the galaxy with Rick is so darkâŠand he legitimately doesnât seem that phased by how his real family is dead. He just replaces them. He is empty, just like Rick.
What would you do?
Not really
to be fair, Morty was like Traumatized after he went to the replacement dimension with Rick and they had to bury themselves. But keep in mind he did the switch like right after Rick Ruined the world. so for Morty it was like the rest of the day didn't happen and he had no way to return home at that point in the story Morty didn't know how to use the portal gun.
He just adapted to it. Its not like he can do much.

Lucky for Rick he didn't go overboard like a genuine MK Fatality.
While Rick is holding his throat he gets the flat side of the ... shilalegh (IDK what else to call the big stick) to the head, then Jerry spins around and gets him on the other side of the head with the spikey side, breaking open Rick's skull. Jerry then digs Rick's brain out and walks off, muttering about needing to eat around the mechanical parts.

It's a shame that they killed off Cronenberg Jerry so soon. He was really becoming an interesting character.
I think his death makes it more poignant, as well as making us hate and fear Rick Prime even more.
^ then they kill Rick prime in just as much of a unsatisfying and disappointing death.
While it would be cool I think it would also undermine Jerryâs arc. He went from the antithesis of Rick, to becoming him. Detached, apathetic, alone. But unlike Rick, Jerry is able to move on from his pain. He doesnât have to go on adventures or replace his whole family like goldfish to be whole again. He chose to live by himself for the rest of his days in his wasteland of a world, and in the end he got damn close to killing the Rickest Rick.
There are infinite Jerries and infinite Cronenberg Jerries. Presumably. If nothing else, there are infinite realities out there where Jerry is a badass. And I doubt the show is actually done exploring Jerry's potential and his variants.

i think they killed cronenberg jerry, to make space for doofus jerry
I think cronenburg Jerry existed to show that Jerryâs HAVE potential to be bad asses, and that our current Jerry is slowly coming out of his wimpy shell. They killed cronenburg Jerry though because 1) they donât want the audience to keep asking for him and to appreciate current Jerry 2) to show Prime Rick doesnât care and how heâs different from our Rick 3) to emphasize that Jerry survives and is strong because of his family and his love for them. "We were in that ice for a long time" This gets way too overlooked, our Season 1 Jerry, Beth & Summer were trapped in ice after Summer and Morty left, it was the actions RICKS that inevitably killed them. They were abandoned in that ice, this detail just got glossed over. Beth got sick from the ice, and it appears that Summer either shattered or lost a frozen limb and succumbed to shock or disease.
Yeah, but after Rick got free, Morty could've come back.
I love how any Jerry line followed by "That's stupid." still makes sense.
The fact that Morty abandoned his original family just shows to me that there is some Prime Rick (that's how the writers call the Rick of this dimension) in him.
he really didnt have a choice if you read further. He just followed Rick with no knowledge that his original family survived until he went back to the original dimension to discover his family moved on without him.

The new season is brutal honest and I love how they remind everyone what big impact all the journeys had, what Rick and Morty did! "They really stuck in that ice for a long time!"
Did morty seriously didnt care about them? I know he got the same family again but he could save them with rick. Or maybe he thought they died in that reality.

2) Council of Ricks murders & Citadel destroyed by rick again
3) Evil morty takes over the Citadel
4) R&M finally does Time travel but with snakes
5) Rick fought zeus
6) Rick jumps fascist universes by Operation phoenix
7) Jessica disses Morty because she's a time god
8) Morty and Summer make a giant incest baby
9) R&M temporarily break up
10) And finally when evil morty poked a blackhole in the central finite curve and escaped it which also caused the Citadel to get destroyed again

The dude fukd the world and split and all of them pretty much hated him after that
We do find out that this particular Summer is in fact very super-villain Rick like. So this Jerry is obviously able to sniff that out about her. We find out in the Night People episode that she in fact, out Ricked Rick.
@@meatybtz C-137 has become extremely docile throughout the seasons, so Outricking rick isnât a big deal anymore

I'll fucking do the same if I smell the scent of a person who caused my family to live off as savages and destroyed the entire fucking world.
Man that Jerry was such a badass. Probably try most badass of all Ricks
I love the way Jerry smiles sadly at Rick after slitting his throat. To me it shows that even after loosing everything and being forced to kill cronenberg monsters that might be sentient, he still has compassion for life. He even used old video game references to make it all feel more like a game.
This Jerry deserve better
Definitely, he deserves better!
*deserved.
he shoulda never destroyed that portal gun
Itâs actually so ironic. He came back to make a point in season 3 (I think thatâs the one) that rick isnât a hero and this is the worlds he leaves behind while he did the same thing, like he doesnât see that heâs the exact same. He has done everything rick has and has the same mentality of seeing people as replaceable. Rick poisons the people around him while not caring because he is the victim cause of his sad backstory. And Morty has also done the same. I have few example but I canât remember the episode Iâll edit another time.
We saw Morty care though. He had to force himself to no longer care because he had no alternative with Rick pulling him away. When Morty could come back he had resigned himself to being a tool of Rick which is what he tells Summer.
I don't think the season 3 Morty didn't care, he wouldn't have shown and explained this to Summer if he didn't care somewhat. If he was like Rick he would have just said "fuck her" and neutralized her in some way.
Early Morty wanted to be a hero and to save people. However at the point we are at now Morty has basically experienced so much that he can't care about that anymore either. He has experienced countless Beths, Summers, Jerrys, Ricks and other Mortys and he has experienced countless of them dying too. On the grand multiversal scale of things which he has learnt to view things at, nothing really matters to him anymore. He has become a nihilist like Rick, but I think its because he has resigned himself to never being able to affect any real change, unlike Rick who can affect real change but just don't care to because he doesn't want to waste the effort, he looks down upon Ricks who take effort to do anything.
I think that is the key difference between Rick and Morty. Rick can but won't. Morty can't but want/wanted to. Rick or other things stopped him in his attempts to do "good" so many times he just don't want to try any more.
That's the downside to alternative universe's. You either stick with just one or you move on and accept the harsh truth.
That is for sure!
I'm glad that Cronenberg Jerry's last act was trying to protect Morty. He probably does legit hate Morty for how he abandoned his own family to die, but he's still his son.
He suggested teaming up to kill Morty lol
â@@gamercore5216Which was a ploy to lower this Rick's guard and know of his intentions. If he wanted to kill Morty, he could have done so when he was with him and defenseless.
I liked the little details in this episode, like how Jerry was trying to watch the movie 'JAWS' or at least pretend to, and whenever Morty suggested to look for Down Beat, he glanced at Morty's bag before telling him to go get it so he could rob Morty and leave. Also, was anybody else creeped out but also respect Jerry for making a backpack out of one of the Cronenbergs? Jerry even shows genuine emotion from the loss of Summer and Beth, while Morty just has cold indifference. Jerry is one of the only people in the Smith family who actually CARES about the Smith family.

Its cool to notice that this Jerry was different since the first episodes, he was always trying to keep things in order and even stood up to Rick stuff

Can we mention the amazing esthetic the background art is in this? Really captures and sadness and beauty of the post-apocalyptic world
Crazy how Morty says its Ricks fault for how his world ended up when it was Morty who FORCED Rick to make the serum that started towards a downward spiral.
How much can you say Morty forced Rick into making the potion? At some point, responsibility needs to fall on Rick too. Morty makes it clear he too, is at fault, but makes good points in calling out Rick for haphazardly putting a bunch of nonsense together and thinking it'll solve the problem.
I like how Jerry Prime talking like a normal person in S6 proves that he was pretty much just doing caveman roleplay in S3
If that is his canonical motive for speaking like that, it's funnily in character
It's also possible he spoke like that as a means to be a patriarch of sorts, considering how the way he spoke to both Beth and Summer after his first exposure to the apocalypse. I think it's also important to consider the fact that there's a lot of time that takes place between the events of the start of the genetic epidemic and when we see Jerry next. After losing Beth and Summer, he probably has no reason to put on that voice, cause what good would it really do him at that point?
Turns out that when there are no more people to please, Jerry can finally do what he wants.
Man i really wished this reality was explored more, it would be cool to have recurring altenative versions of the rest of the family, just like we have for Morty and Rick especially since this is the original family of not only our morty, but also of Prime rick who seems to be the new antagonist of the series
Jerry's Fatality jerry wins Now that was really badass even prime rick admits it
Remember this all happened because of Morty simping to Jessica on prom night

âExcept for this conversation, my life is perfect.â
Iâm stealing that.
This reminds I should not feel completely sorry for this Jerry, since they tried to kill an innocent girl that never did anything to them.
Do you mean summer when she came back with Morty to his dimension?
@@nemoxart Correct.
They had a point. Summer becomes more and more like Rick as the series goes on. Probably best to get rid of her now before she does any real damage
I also believe a few things.. One, I donât think Morty was originally AWARE that his parents and sister were alive. He probably thought they were already dead considering how dangerous the Kronenberg situation was. Two, when he reunited with them in season 3, they were crazy and dangerous! At that point Morty probably thought it would be safer to stay away from them!
Summer is hardly innocent, but they don't know that.
The fact Morty left his original father again in the end is even more sad. Okay, he didnât want to come with him but still he could try to convince him and donât let him rod there all alone. In the end he died by Prime Rick, so his original family is gone.
Honestly after seeing the other Jerry's his the best of the best
True story!
Allegedly this is the prime earth,
Rick prime
The one true morty
And badass jerry
he is the jerry least jerry of all
I think it was unfair for Morty to take summer back to his original dimension. Everytime Morty got involved after the world was destroyed, one or more of his family members died.
If Jerry wasnât so feral, heâd let Morty and Summer go. If he didnât attack the Ricks first, Summer and Beth wouldnât have followed.
While S6 Cronenberg Jerry arched tf out, it was more bitter because it was meant to make Morty the blame. Jerry was intentionally surviving in a world of misery after his wife and daughter died to spite Rick. Iâd wish Jerry wouldâve at least found a different world, even if it was one without Rick.
"You abandoned us."
I mean...kinda fair. At least he went out getting a compliment from a Rick.

Jerry had every right to be angry.
Wow great work man ! I'm definitely subbing keep up the good work
Rick and Morty Have one thing in common both of their original family is dead
True story!
I always thought that Evil morty was somehow connected to Prime Rick, even believing that the two may have been one and the same person (perhaps evil morty was just a robot controlled by Prime Rick), but it would appear that the one in a million chance of them not having much to do with each other was the most likely of outcomes.
I love how as soon as he gets shots the ending credit comes inđ€Ł
"Look where being smart got ya" is a fucking raw line lol
He would've killed a Rick if that Rick wouldn't have Regeneration
I remember reading a Rick-and-Morty comic chapter centered around the cronenberg world. That story had a sad but way better ending compared to this one.
What's the comic?
I feel like Rick Prime and Mortys original dimension is just the "rickest" dimension, the rickest Rick, the rickest Morty, the rickest Jerry etc.
jerry prime definitely have the craziest yet saddest transformation
My favorite little touch they did in this was 1:33 when you see the Jaws movie box when summer tells the movie. That's a little dark and very sad when u think about it.
thank u
are we forgetting that when they moved to the new dimension, morty was extremly traumatized and had a blank expression for days observing his surroundings ? i think ultimately rick telling him that thereâs no other way besides that was what caused him to grow a cold heart. the ânewâ family was the exact same. and that clicked in his brainâŠ. i think it was easier to pretend the new ones were the original ones for him instead of fighting rick to go back to his og dimension and save his og family and reality. once he accepted that this was his new reality , he adopted some rick-behavior. also, the kids 14.
i get heâs a cartoon but everyone is psychoanalyzing morty and saying he doesnât give a fuck anymore. his main role model is rick. he has changed and evolved a lot from season 1 but at his core he still cares about others. he just understands itâs unrealistic to try and save everyone
What really sucks is that when Morty takes Summer back to his og dimension, he has no compassion for his ACTUAL family, only using them to be an example for his new Summer
I mean be honest. Did his old family really treat him that well?
His dad? Maybe.
His mom? Not really
His sister? Literally said she hated him repeatedly.
His new family started off the exact same but due to the lessons he learned he was able to help some of them go through character development.
Something I realized is that jerry is only competent in surviving and protecting his family.
one thing for sure, Cronenberg Jerry was really badass in the end, too bad we lost him
Rick from this reality is shown to be above our Rick, and since he's Morty's universal grandpa, could our Rick have been messing with Morty in more ways all this time to prevent him from being more like Prime Rick?
Turns out C-137 went to Prime Ricks universe and was with his family waiting for him. He couldn't find him so he was waiting.
Thanks for this. I couldn't make sense of why Morty went back there this season. I don't have that memory any more.
What episodes were these segments on? I don't remember seeing them at all. I do remember Morty seeing his original dad though.
Something to make note of, Morty refers to himself as being from C-137, but that's Rick's home dimension. Rick and Morty are from different dimensions, so they can't both be from C-137. The most logical answer is Morty hadn't figured Rick wasn't from his universe, so he assumed that his home was C-137, even though Morty would never have existed in C-137.
I'm pretty sure he knows that.
And even in this episode he finds out the whole truth
RIP northâs original universe family.. especially Jerry for lasting the longest and accepting what came
Jerry Prime was so badass he impressed Rick Prime... talk about irony.
I just realized, the writters probably had to kill Cronen Jerry because they wanted to have Space Beth and Earth Beth be a couple instead of trying to joing Space Beth and Cronen Jerry
I like not having to make This Jerry and Space Beth as a couple, their normal selves have a bad relationship, I don't theink just because they are both cool they will work out. But I still find weird the selfcest with both Beths
That wouldnt be good writing if they paired those two. They work better as rivals.
Beth is a useless character and shouldn't be in the series
incest writing moment
Hi, I thought that between the two Beths, feelings only appeared after Venusian wine, and since Venus is considered the goddess of love, perhaps Rick intentionally did this, for his own interest, so to speak. Anyway, he knew how it would work, judging by his actions at the end of the series.
Rick may have just found his killer
If this Jerry is somehow revived (maybe evil Rick brings him back) then Cronen Jerry and Space Beth might be a good match for each other.
This content was great. I really enjoyed the proformance from Mr. Meeseeks #12.
the sound quality reminds me of the teacher playing videos through the projector
This arc proves that beth, summer, rick, and morty have always been holding Jerry back. And without them he wouldnt be so pathetic
He still pathetic
Don't think its that easy:
Jerry not only lose his family, he lost everyone on earth, he said it: "with no one else to blame i can finally deal with myself"
He needed to be apart from everything.
We got a glimpse of jerry without the smiths on S2 and he remained a pathetic dependant guy, he would've eventually find someone else to blame, but not in this reality.
That was *his* Jerry and he called him bad ass.
Bruh the fact that prime was putting on pants means he was really in that glass pod dancing just like the recording of prime was telling Rick đ€Ł
All this was Morty's fault, remember the only reason that dimension became apocalyptic was cus Morty was trying to brainwash that girl, I think her name was Jessica but she had the flu or something and every one ended up turning into some mantis mutant when Rick tried to fix it.
Everyoneâs blaming Morty for leaving, Iâm pretty sure he didnât even know if his family was still alive at the end that episode. Heâs a 14 year old kid, and his only relative that he knew was alive was his âgrandpaâ (not that he found out he wasnât yet)
Of course he went with him. Of course he wasnât going to insist to never see the only family member he knew was still alive again in vain hopes he might eventually find the rest of his family alive again. What if he didnât? What if the infected all found him first and killed him? He wasnât hardened like he is today.
I donât see a reason to blame him for mourning and letting go, nor not doing anything when he found his family again after they showed themselves to be extremely violent and near unreasonable. What else could he actually do in the face of them smashing whatever they could of technology???
And also, finally, letâs say he did stay. Thereâs no one else immune there except his family. Do you guys realize what that would mean one day? His parents would be dead, and (disgustingly likely, given the show) he and Summer would be procreating. Exactly *HOW* is that a future to look forward to?
His family smashed the machine. Big whoop, they didnât get a second chance. Too bad they got sick and died, but that was because of their own damn choices. (Like Jerry robbing Morty for example. Um, excuse me? Youâre the ONLY TWO UNINFECTED PEOPLE ALIVE. BULLSHIT supplies are absolutely NOT tight yet.)
He fucked with two women s1ep2 then fucked with that heroine pretending to be in their parents house, then fucked a prostitute in the acid rick episode.
Well i think he deserves being treated like a horny adult its him.
We now have Evil Morty, Space Beth, the Rickiest Rick, Cronenberg Jerry...... we need a badass Summer.
Wow crazy how well made it is
This is so dark actually it's kind of sad it's not even affected these were his original family that raised him
If you think about it, jerry knew that the other rick was planning on killing morty. He knew it didnât look like his rick and he still died protecting morty and his family
I just realized that since Mortys home reality is where Rick Prime is from, then that means that Rick prime actually killed his own Jerry and not another one
something about morty actually being able to survive in the cronenberg dimension lifts my spirits
