Saying "like you're about to get punched" is a perfect way to phrase it, for so long I would try to push/pull my stomach or hold my breath but this really cleared it up
when you said "imagine you're gonna get punched" I understood everything

I’m embracing as if i were gonna get punched in the stomach BUT it doesn’t feel like i’m doing it right. Maybe more practice?

It's like when you flex your arms but specifically your abdominals.
All I do is hold my breath. How does it work 😢
I get it but I still don't know how to, especially if I'm lying down. Get you do a how to engage my core when doing laying down ab exercises, that would be helpful.

gonna try doing this while sitting down, I can do the lats too and trying to see If i can feel the activation of the serratus. Activating the glutes while sitting down feels weird lol I can't do it without feeling my hamstrings lift up my thighs lol

standing no problem. I have to focus so hard to do it while sitting because I have a pelvic tilt and a slouch since I work on a computer chair eight hours a day.
After this video i was able to do the L sit and the elbow stand

I am able to engage all my muscles except my “core” muscles considering I don’t work on them
I just started working on abs 2 days ago and had trouble feeling the activation of the muscles until you said “as if someone is about to punch you” that immediately made me activate my abs and it’s literally so easy now.

Even if I try to activate my abs, my lungs just stop by themselves. Is it a possible sign of cerebellum malfunction? If yes, then that's a dire warning....
