    Nail Art at home fans: Peel-off masks can work as a skin barrier for sponging, stamping, etc. Use a cheap or repurposed tiny brush to apply. Bonus: A tube will last you FOREVER.

      We used it as a scalp cleaner for hairspray buildup on our little old ladies when they would come in for their weekly do. I wouldn't use it on my face.

    Lol! I used Sea Breeze as a teen and through my 20s and thought that was 'skin care.' The Pond's Cold Cream for makeup removal has stood the test of time though.

      Although I'm in my 70s, I still use Sea Breeze from time to time because I perpetually oily skin! And no wrinkles. 🤷🏽‍♀️

    I had a cheap dollar store peel-off mask that I am 90% sure was mostly comprised of clear glue, lol

      In my experience, peel off stuff never seems to help with the blackheads on my nose.

      @@caiden3396because the mask rips off all the oil which removes the blackheads as well. That’s good, but it also removes your natural oils. So the natural oils try to generate again, but that also brings the bad oils. Just remember to wash your face daily and don’t touch your face often. Don’t use peel off masks, it will irritate most skin - especially sensitive skin.

    Sea Breeze is actually really good at killing and preventing lice. So if you have kiddos it’s good to have on hand in case an outbreak at their school happens.

      ​@@solitairelyrics if it's a regular thing, she may need to treat others in the house too. Like everyone , also your pillows ( the ones on the couch too) should be washed too. Pets, if any, need treatment as well, including their sleeping areas. Lice can be so invasive. They prefer a clean scalp so it's not because of being dirty. Sorry she's dealing with this right now. But it can be taken care of. Good luck 💟☮️☯️♾️

    I like my peel-off mask. It just takes off a bunch of peach fuzz and dead skin. Idk I just find it so good

    I always use astringent sparingly. Like a dab on a q tip on any pimples (thankfully, I only get 1 or 2 occasionally, and they're usually small) works like a charm, and my skin is n on the drier side .

      Any triple antibiotic ointment or cica ointment dabbed on a blemish work wonders, usually overnight.

      Agree but he was probably just trying to change up the wording to keep the video interesting. He could have said that the black masks often irritate the skin while peeling them off and can cause redness. Similar can be said for the face pads with lemon, but probably didn’t want to sound too repetitive.

      ​@@ciomaria6137redness occurs even with natural products including aloe vera and bentonite clay (for two different sides of the spectrum) It's all relative to the person's skin, I've used that peel off mask he showed and it works great.

    "Sensitive skin on the bottle, but will tear your face off" that was funny. Also I just use dial body wash on my face. It is the only thing that actually takes away the blemishes. No joke.

      A lot of people use dandruff shampoo on their faces for the same reason, even generic ones. They work.

      Tea tree body wash & face washes are great for acne, too. I got my bf using a plant based one & it cleared his skin up all over. The smell takes a bit of getting used to. Also, you may break out a bit more when you switch to tea tree products because it's bringing all the gunk to the surface & should clear up soon after. Keep going, unless allergic. Tea tree oil kills the bacteria. I love it, too. Great for oily hair too.

    I was a genius last year when I bought clearsil pads for my mask-acne. Those things irritated the hell out of my skin. I thought they were healing it. Am still trying to get better with skincare. Just learned things the hard way.

    This is basically the reason why I prefer Korean skincare products more. Their products most of the time do not contain alcohol and any irritating/stripping ingredients. Rather, their ingredients contain natural and gentle ingredients. Which is why most Koreans have good skin.

      ​​​​​@@letitiasd586 idk about most but when i was in Korea they had moisturizing cream with whitener that my german friend (who is already pale lmao) got 😬 just cause there wasnt an option not to 🤷‍♀️ so it is prevalent but idk how dangerous it is like spme of these other whitner creams can be. But I'm also super pale so i didnt really have a problem generally altho i didnt buy much or actually any skincare products in korea..
      Also at tj maxx i noticed one korean face mask had some parabens in it so i dont want to use lol. Im sure not all ingredients are as clean as people think korea to be. I wanted to get the ooyuu 우유 milk soap and the ingredients seemed not so clean as id like, maybe as simple as red40 or whatever id remember... and another mask at tj maxx had "whitener" on it. Idk if that is supposed to be interchangeable with fresh faced lol or actually whiten the skin

      I always had dry skin- and I mean 'desert dust' dry. Forget about teen specific products, and rather go for an adult skin care range. That worked for me, so hopefully it will work for you too.
      Very few teens battle with dryness, and teen brands target the biggest problem: oils and acne.

    I agree with you there. Since I've been using natural skincare, I noticed a major difference in my face. My face feels more miosterized and cleaner. Plus I havent been getting much blackheads since I've been using natural skincare products.

    I use products from cereve with benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid plus adapalene gel. But most acne is hormonal and you can’t just make it disappear

    Please talk more about astringent. I have some mix information about this so I’m not sure whether they’re bad or just not for sensitive skin. And also is witch hazel without alcohol is better than with alcohol?

      I tried the Thayers witch hazel with rose water and it didn't really break me out but the rose water was too much hydration for me. My teenager loves the original Thayers but I haven't tried that one. I think the docs did a video on witch hazel. Don't even touch that Sea Breeze. Absolute trash.

      Most derms don't recommend astringents. Opinions on witch hazel are mixed. Some say it's okay and some prefer people not use it.

      @@db-gb5xi the only saving grace for the Thayers is that it doesn't contain alcohol. We use to keep a little container in the camping first aid kit for bug bites. Highly recommend it for that.

    Sea Breeze was all the rage in 1970’s high school. It was drying, but that what astringents do, and it was typically only used for “spot treatment.” I don’t recall any of us having adverse reactions, but there were slim pickings in those days, until we all discovered the wonders of dermatologists.

    Could you perhaps talk about makeup ingredients that make your skin worse? Or does that go beyond the topic of this channel? I think it falls withing the skincare category and might be interesting for the viewers of this channel and you guys certainly know a lot about which ingredients could be potentially harmful

      Sea breeze is an alcohol toner. Back in the day it was popular. People liked the burning sensation they got which they thought meant it was working instead of tearing up their skin.

      Skin routine circa 1990: wash with Noxema cream, then Sea Breeze followed by the original Oil of Olay in the pink bottle. How anyone from the 80’s and 90’s still has a face is a miracle!😂

    Also, I used Vaseline to help my skin. I tried it for months and all it did was clog my pores and moisturize my face. I’ve started trying a honey and sugar face scrub and honey face cleaner. Hopefully, it will work and get rid of the black dots on my face. Right now, it’s making my face soft and a tad bit lighter. Today is day two.

      Hi! Just a tip sugar can be too abrasive and create micro tears in your skin. I would receive a chemical exfoliator (sounds scary but its really not). It will exfoliate the skin 100 tomes better and long term. I would say stay away from home made remedies they are not formulated to go on your skin and you dont really get any of the benefits from them its just food without being properly put into skincare products in a lab.

      Vaseline is a petrolatum product. Like mineral oil, they are ultimately drying and unnatural for the skin.

    In place of the black charcol peel masks, try bentonite clay! Mix in water and a few drops of apple cider vinegar, works wonders for my clogged pores.

    How do y’all feel about non-peel, charcoal masks in general? I have what seems like a high quality charcoal mask and when it dries, it forms lighter dots on the blemishes on my face, so it seems like it is doing something beneficial for my blemishes. It doesn’t dry my face out much either. What do y’all think about it? Do you think it is beneficial?

      I personally like them a lot because of their oil sucking properties. They are great for reducing whatever blackheads or whiteheads that is on your skin and with continuous usage, are great at reducing the appearance of pores. I use both charcoal infused mud and clay although I use the clay one sparingly because my skin is dry type. But as long as the clay mask doesn't dry out my sling, I'm content enough that it has done it's job

      Most derms tend to recommend a product like the Cetaphil Clay mask.

      Just make sure that any mask, esp bentonite clay, doesn't completely dry out. U only need it on for a few minutes. When it's in the beginning stages of drying is when u should remove. When you've gone to the cracking stage, you've done more harm than good

    I don’t use the charcoal peel off mask for acne or any skin care stuff I just like how it takes off some dead skin and makes my face softer. And it’s fun to peel

    I actually like astringent lol once your skin is use to it the stinging stops I use it before rose water toner I feel it helps with the bacteria on the skin my opinion though🤷🏾‍♀️

    Those black peeloff masks are horrible. My sister had one so I tried it out of curiosity, it hurt to peel and it ripped out some hair from my eyebrows I had to wash it off ultimately

    I directly apply lemon on my face. Been doing it for years. Nothing works better on my skin, nothing... Maybe other than Retinoid, which can have side effects, but lemon doesn't.
    So yeah, sometimes different things just work for different people.

    I used to use the original Sea Breeze formula and Herbal Listerex Scrub all the time when I was a greasy faced teenager in the 70's and 80's. I have to say that when I was in Marine Boot Camp at Parris Island, SC in at the SUMMER, it sure felt good to slather Sea Breeze all over my face, on a cotton ball, after coming back in out of the heat.
    Ironically, that was where I LEARNED to tear people's faces off. 😅😂🤣

    Garnier's black peel off mask actually does work. It's the first product that works on my skin.
    PS-l just have to keep it longer (about 1 hour) on my nose 👃 😑

    I remember products I used that used to make my my face into a shiny hard layer and thought that was okay for fighting blemishes. Now I only oil cleanse with a product that doesn’t even have any ascorbic acid or fragrances. My skin is always slightly between matte and dewy. Everything else is too harsh and my skin doesn’t get shiny and it barely breakout, unless I’m eating too much sugar. Harsh products for acne should not always be the go to. I feel like that’s when your skin needs more gentleness. This concept helped me a lot in what I used when treating my blemishes.

      A friend recommended castor oil once. I haven't tried it yet and she recommended for both eyebrows and eyelashes. Idek just a thought

    I've used lemon mask/pads before and it brightens my skin. I stick to good old fashioned witch hazel and rose water as a toner. And I love the peel off mask where I can see my pores being unclogged. My skin is as sensitive as they come as well

      I have had sensitive acne prone skin all of my life as well. Just turned 40 and I’d assume that would have stopped. But nope. The only thing that has helped me for a decade now has been changing my pillow cases daily and using Tacha water cream. It is the only lotion I have used that moisturizes and keeps me feeling clean. I have tried so many “sensitive skin” items from sephora and drug stores. Neutrogena line is ok to use temporarily.
      I always look for new products that are non-comedogenic and not oil-based due to Tacha’s price point but, always end up going back. It’s expensive but well worth it

      Get a retinoid from a dermatologist. I tried salicylic acid, moisturizing etc but as effective as that stuff is at clearing it out it comes back just as fast. I pay $90 for two tubes of tretinoin after insurance. This lasts me 2-3 months. I literally just use that and a dermatologist recommended face moisturizing lotion.

      Try using A lemon 🍋 squeeze it and rub it on your face it works also Vitamin C pills or gummies work great with the Lemon on a pad. Vitamin C is great for the skin.

    I use face lotion and retinol at night before bed…. That, mixed with an exfoliating cleanser in the shower is all I use. I’m open to anything that’s good for your face! Any suggestions?

    I have sensitive/ combo skin & I've used Sea breeze for years with no problem. It's good for the oily parts & pimples. Use sparingly on skin that tends to be dry. I don't use the yellow one, they have one for sensitive skin. It's great for cleaning the inside of your ears, not in the canal of course but the outer area where you might get little black heads, dab a q tip in seabreeze then clean the outer ear..works great! 👍👍

      That's genetics, literaly.
      You must have been using something terrible for your skin (like soap on the face, exfoliating too often or products with inhredients nit good for whatever skin issue you had).
      Skin issues don't go away with water. Let's not feel so confident making those statements

      @@mile_851 I've literally used the stuff dermatologist asked me to use. And used highly safe products and it still hasn't benefited me with getting rid of random breakouts and congestion.
      . I'm not saying everyone should. Obviously people will have serious conditions , like photosensitivity, ezchema , rosechea or aggressive cystic acne that require medicine or a specific skincare prescribed by your doctor . But generally most people don't . It's all a marketing scheme at this point for us to be using all kinds of skincare playing around with them when our skin really is fine.
      Most men in my life don't even have a skincare regimen yet they have the clearest skin ☠️.

Actually I'm doing skin care routine for 2 times a week for almost year. And my skin looks much better than before, when I did it once or twice a day. You don't need to do it so often. It's marketing, because they need to earn much money as possible.

    I remember when i was younger i had this cream for my excema, which was really bad at the time, and i don't know why but it made my excema worse when exposed to sunlight, which is especially hard when you're a 7 year old in the middle of summer.
    Also if anyone recommends coconut oil for skin, unless you shower once every 5 minutes it will stink and the smell's gonna stick to everything

We’re talking about a group of people who spend 10x more for a product because it smells nice and looks interesting, without realizing that their skin doesn’t give a crap if how a product smells or looks like.

Plus I'd use those oxy pads or whatever they were called, those little circular nightmares? I have dry skin ffs! Bad idea!

    C & C Lemon scrub is nice occasionally, though. Beekman 1802 face scrub is better, though, for sensitive skin. Its kinda pricey, though. All the Beekman 1802 stuff I've tried so far are really nice & made with goat milk & allergy friendly for me. I'm allergic to synthetic fragrance. (Not sure if that's in the lemon face scrub, but it didn't bother me at the time.) Always check the ingredients if you have allergies or sensitive skin.

    About the skincare product that says sensitive but screw your face over, I had that horrible experience 😭 The whole skincare set claimed to be tested on sensitive skin and is "not harsh" but what it did to my face was revive the cystic acne that I had 6 years ago and dried my skin out, enough to make me look old. Had to throw it all away and went to my derma clinic to buy prescriptions for it. Can't trust any brand these days.
