I would love to see more of this kind of overall brand review: Vichy, Avene, Maelove, Versed, Three Ships, Loreal, Olay, Neutrogena, Cerave, Cetaphil, Vanicream, Aveeno, Paula's Choice, The Ordinary. Name the star products of each and also the duds.
Yesssss
Yeeeees
Yes!
I love Avene
Great list! 👍🏾
That moisturizer is truly the holy grail of ALL holy grails for me. And I agree, the constant renaming is annoying and confusing AF...
Didn't you mean confusing as AP+M?
What about the double repair face moisturizer? What are your thoughts?
Cicaplast b5 saves my skin from the Norwegian winter ❄️ love it
Heia Norge 🇳🇴🙋🏼♀️❄️
Thanks for the tip! 💗 I struggle with having dry skin everytime I'm there
I completely agree that trying to find and stick with a product is difficult with all their changes. Thanks for all the great commentary on why certain products make the best and worst list. Appreciate you both! 🙏
CZcams in general, you two docs and my fave beauty influencers are really helpful in describing products with fragrance. My skin doesn't react to any of the other ingredients poorly, but removing perfumed skin and laundry products had great improved my skin.
Please do a video like this with Cerave. There are so many products to navigate!
They have already
Can you share the title? Cause none of my searches find it.
Ceravae does not have the clean ingrediants that La Roche Posey does.
I would love a review of some Korean skin care especially sunscreen! Love you guys, your recommendations have given me the best skin I’ve ever had in my life now at 40! ❤
My favorite cleanser is the hydrating cleanser with my highly sensitive skin. I wish they would get rid of the fragrance in so many of the products.
Thanks. My skin is the same
Oh please keep advising on you tube for over 60 skin please love your channel and oui oui oui pour la Roche Posey !
Oui et oui encore from the US ❤
I would love to see more of these for mature skin. I am 55 and my biggest issue is wrinkles under my eyes is there anything that could help me get rid of them? Have you ever looked at Senegence skin care? I’m curious your thoughts.
I have a very good experience with this brand as a European customer. The large bottle sizes, lack of fragrance and unproblematic consistency to my skin is my favourite as it is on the dry to very dry and sensitive side. Sometimes, I wish the brand was a bit more clear with which products go onto the face vs the body as well as how thick or thin the cream is expected to be because I find it easy to make such a mistake. Compared to a brand like Redken which uses distinct colours and packaging alterations, LRP seems to have one style that almost all products follow. Right now, I am using and very satisfied with their Toleriane Dermo-Nettoyant (cleanser), Lipikar Baume AP+ Balm (moisturiser), Lipikar Gel Lavant (shower gel) and two Anthelios sunscreens. The only product I would not buy again is the Fluide Hydratant (body lotion): For my skin, the texture is too thin and watery, so it might be good for oily or combination skin but I prefer Neutrogena's Deep Moisture with a much thicker formula for that. Even for my face, I find the Fluide Hydratant too light and also slightly irritating around the eye area.
Their lipstick and exfoliating cleanser (Gommage Surfin) are decent in my experience, and unlike you, I have a good experience with their retinol serum as well which I use twice to thrice per week at maximum.
Love you both and greatly appreciate your knowledge and recommendations to help guide us in our decision making!!
I love to see videos like this, great content! Is it possible to create a video specifically on the changes that Menopause brings to our skin and how to change the routine to care for it's specific needs? I see that you have skin care for dry skin or skin over 40 y.o. but asking if a deep dive on the subject is on the radar.
I LOVE the Triple Repair Cream Moisturizer! It is the only drugstore moisturizer that I love. It's replaced my super expensive moisturizer from Sephora and I'm not looking back. If you are someone who finds no drugstore moisturizers being strong enough and you think everyone is gaslighting you when they say Neutrogena Hydro Blast Cream is for dry skin (PLEASE) try this!
(I feel very strongly about how most moisturizers will say they're for dry skin and not moisturizing at all. Apologize for my passion. Its just been very frustrating.)
i get it!
I’m going to give the Triple Repair Cream Moisturizer a try. I’ve been using the Hydra Boost Cream for dry skin, but in the winter I had to had an oil mist on my body and then the cream. I’ll for sure try the Triple Repair this winter.
12:34
Replacement for all hand cream, foot cream, and expensive watered down face moisturizers.
What brand are we referring to?
You guys finally uploaded!! Always look forward to watching your videos 😊😊 always brightens up my day ❤❤
Most of my favorite skincare products and sunscreens are LRP. They really work and never irritate or break my skin out.
Thanks for all that you do Doctorly team! I have oily skin and I love using the triple repair moisturizing cream as a night cream. It seems to work kind of like an occlusive over my serums and gives my skin a healthy glow. It’s too thick and heavy for daytime face use for oily skin, but at night, chefs kiss!
I was sooooo excited when I seen you come on here… Y’all are my favorite 😀🥰
Love that you guys covered this brand specifically!! You guys got me hooked on the Lipkar Moisturizer!! It truly does work! It's cheaper and actually works! I used the Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance for years.....cost is way more and it never kept my skin hydrated all day 😒 Can you guys do a video covering the brand The Ordinary?!?
Love your videos, and the way you explain and present how different skin types are and what products work for each is phenomenal. I understood my skin type and now I’m using products that i actually understand their ingredients and they’re working well for me thanks to you guys.
Can you make a video for hands care, I always feel dryness on my hands (especially that i wash them a lot) and on one of my hands i have this allergy that makes it very dry and also very itchy but it wears off with continuous moisturizing. So a video on that will be very helpful cause i think hands looking healthy and moisturized is as important as a healthy glowing face.
Thank you a lot for all your amazingly detailed and helpful videos, we appreciate it.
I’m 63 and on my second bottle of the oil cleaner. Daily in shower lasted almost 6 months. Three pumps into salux cloth. Love it no more dry skin and I looked for this after a Paris France visit and oil bath gel in hotel.
Having all four LaRoche Posey cleaners are a must with the different seasons in the south. But my most loved products from this line is Lipikar AP Triple Repair moisturizing cream and Anthelios light fluid sunscreen. Just started using Tretinoin again because these products protect my skin from that 90 day of purging, drying, and helps with the dryness that accentuate wrinkles. Love this product. I wished I had them 45 years ago.
I'm 57 with dry skin and LaRoche Posay has been my go-to line for 20 years. When I first started using it, it was not available everywhere like it is now, I had to buy it at my doctor's office spa. Spf products really irritate my skin but the Anthelios AOX serum sunscreen with niacinamide.
Thank you guys!🥰
The triple repair moisturizer is heaven wrapped in a bottle!!! It's so good, that even my teenage son has become a fan (AND a fan of the sunscreen too).
Also, I wanted to compliment Dr. Shah on his REMEDY products!!! I ordered the dark spot serum and the lip balm. I'm already seeing results from the dark spot corrector AND saw instant results from the lip balm!!! Please don't ever stop making either!!!
I literally just received my Amazon order with their hydrating cleanser and double repair moisturizer this morning 😂. Love this brand for my sensitive skin
Oh, this happens across all brands within the L'Oréal group, changing names, availability, formulation-it's very frustrating in many ways. I believe having a unified portfolio and global website for each brand would help tremendously.
The cicaplast cleansing wash was given to me in January by my surgeon in a French hospital after an emergency operation. He recommended it for post op wound wash. Also the serozinc. Both have really been amazing for healing.
Hey Dr Shah and Dr Maxfield.
Love the tinted fluid sunscreen / moisturizer! Hope they never cancel it❤
I am currently loving the Laroche pose oil cleanser. I am a 52-year-old woman going through menopause with changing skin needs. The other cleansers left my skin on the dryer side and the oil one does not.
I’ve been waiting on a LRP video!! Can you guys do dermalogica next ?
Hello doctors ❤ , you both are amazing doctors, and so inspiring. Your knowledge and experience is so important to us all. Thank goodness for you both, and we are grateful for all of your support and looking forward for more content in the next chapter. Xx
The Lipikar AP+ Triple Repair Moisturizer is the only cream that really corrects and protects my husband's super-dry fragile leg skin. The Cicaplast gel B5 (not the baume) is a daily-use product for me. And Oh yeah, that foaming cleansing oil is fantastic; I use it for face, body, and keep a bottle by the sink for hand-washing. I just wish that LRP didn't put so much fragrance in their serums; after trying the Hyalu-b5 one I don't use any of them for that reason.
Some of their sunscreens really are wonderful, especially for those of us with combo/oily skin. I have that blue Toleriane cleanser in my cart for months now, I just haven't pulled the trigger yet, for some reason. Great video, as usual!
I have it now. I’ve been using it for months and it’s on sale so how’s a good time. It’s sooo good. The best I’ve used in a long time and that bottle lasts months
I’m 59 and watch you both on here and Instagram! I use their bodywash and moisturiser on my face. My skin is dry and sensitive, so using them at night leaves my skin soft and healthy in the morning. I use the cica cream if my skin is feeling a bit delicate. Always use spf 50 - Uvmune 400 Unfortunately, I can’t find the glycolic B5 product in Germany. Keep up the good work guys! 👋🏼from old woman in Germany
Hello from a fellow mature (58) fan of them both on CZcams and instagram :)
I believe the Glycolic B5 serum is not available in most of Europe. I think I saw somewhere that the Glycolic B5 serum has been repackaged (perhaps for the US market?) from the Mela B3 serum.
I just ordered your Remedy for Pore Size and Remedy for Dark Spots and I can’t wait to try it!!!! Congratulations on your new product launch❣️
As a atopic/ sensitive skin user from Europe I completely agree with every word you’ve said! Been using LRP products since my teen years. Anti-helious and Lipikar kudos!
I’m so stoked on this video! I love La Roche-Posay, it’s the only product I can use on my face that does not cause irritation. Makes sense I can’t always find their products since they constantly change names on them. The KERIUM DS is incredibly hard to find and I can only order it online but it has been a game change for dermatitis seborreica 👊👊👊
That Toleriane cleanser is a HOLY GRAIL. One of the best skincare products I’ve ever tried. Hope they don’t change the formula.
I love La roche posay. I especially enjoy their spf compact for face. The beige shade is still a bit dark for me but it works great under my eyes and doubles as a dark circle corrector and concealer. I’m 54 btw.
I used the cicaplast on my daughter after her last open heart surgery. She is highly allergic to tape and the leads will peel her skin off. I used cicaplast and put cerave healing ointment on top and her burns healed within days! It also kept it from scarring! Cica is a MUST HAVE in our house!
I would love to to see u guys make part 2 of retinol recommendations
Very good video, good informations I will keep in mind for work. I'm a pharmacy tech from Switzerland. I didnt knew that the product habe diffrent names than here.
Skincare - a once nebulous subject clearing up thanks to you guys!! Now about a mostly bald people - can you do a Bald head skincare specific video...PLEASE!!! all aspects you are willing to cover but even basic Cleanse - Treat - Protect would be HUGE!!!!!
Hey Docs! Thanks for the real skin-ny on LRP. I'm loving their Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer. Doesn't feel heavy and has improved my skin texture. Also love their Cicaplast hand cream. It really does last all day. No scent and love the handy travel size.
Thanks for all the great vids!
Thanks so much for the informative content shared on this channel. I am humbly requesting for a video on body care for severe eczema and odour management where armpit are the most sensitive part.
Not a doctor, but as someone who suffers from dermatitis and perspirates a lot, I love the Roc Keops stick. It’s fragrance and alcohol free and really keeps the smell away
I'm also obsessed with the LP Oil Cleanser!!! It keeps my skin hydrated and counteracts the dryness I get with retinol. I also use the Lipikar triple moiisture on my face. So soothing!
I learned and used this product from you two. Thank God it works with my skin 🙏 😅
Thanks for this review. I like this brand and you have given some great information. I just got the tinted sunscreen and like it. I’m in my 60’s and love all your videos. ❤
Love this! I think people aren’t quite on board with oil cleansers yet because they aren’t familiar with how they operate as well but also what y’all said about not being used to the feeling after. A lot of peoples ideal of having a clean face is still that tight squeaky clean feel.
Could yall do a video of using all of their products yall recommended?! 🙏🏻
The melt in milk is my holy grail sunscreen! I'm an avid gardener so this sucker is on my skin all day everyday and feels so so good! It does not leave me itchy or greasy by the end of the day, and that's with reapplications. I just wish I could get hands on the jumbo bottles!
Does it burn your eyes or make your skin feel tight or dry? Thank you!
@@skippetybippetyboonot the poster who posted but it never burned or stung
@@skippetybippetyboo Nope, thank goodness and I have very sensitive skin.
Have used effacar duo with or without spf 30 for over 10 years. It has been amazing! Wouldn’t change for the world. Also loving their retinol this year following your recommendation 😅
I'm so happy to see this video. They changed the name of the moisturizer yawl got me hook on! xD Thank you!
I have used Rohto Hadalobo Gokujyun Cleansing oil every day for many years and I love it. Once rinsed thoroughly my skin isn’t left with an oily residue, but maybe every other day or so I will follow up with a very light, quick second cleanse, usually Vanicream Gentle Cleansing lotion. I use less than 1/4 of a pump of the cleanser and lightly cleanse my face, neck, chest for only about 15 seconds then rinse thoroughly. Using oil cleanser is one of the best things I’ve ever done (second only to prescription tretinoin nightly) for my 69 year old skin and it makes a huge difference. I love it, I’m not stripping or drying my skin at all.
Ditto. I double cleanse. Wearing water-resistant sunscreen, oil cleansing works best for me (it took dozens of tries before I found one that agreed with my face). I follow up with Vanicream’s Gentle Cleanser and Vanicream Cream (which I also use on my body)…interested in trying the Lipikar for body to see if it’s magic. If not, staying put. My skin is so sensitive….
My favorite cleanser hands down is the LRP Toleraine Hrdratinh Vream Cleanser. Excellent for sensitive skin. That is dry/leaning dry, and a win for those of us that don’t like that stripped, squeaky clean feeling foam cleansers often have. I also love their Toleraine SPF 50 (+?) moisturizer w/ sunscreen. Perfect for fall and winter, even some of Spring. A bit too heavy on hot summer days for me but I also live in the Southeast where it’s quite humid & very hot summers.
Like the dr’s mentioned, not a fan of their serums, but I do have sensitive skin, so.
can you make a video about how long to wait inbetween applying products? such as cleanser, moisturizer, retinoids, suncreens, etc
I love the green Effaclar MicroPeeling 2% SA cleanser. It works soooo well for my skin & isn’t drying. It’s for face, body & even scalp.
The Effaclar serum has been saving controlling my acne so well comparing to other brands!
@@avery1716 i use the ultra concentrate serum, not the duo :) it comes in a green glass bottle. i don't use it every day but when when my acne gets worse it helps a lot
I appreciate you sharing your opinions. I've been wanting to try this brand for a while but was always hesitant. I looked back through your past content to find out if you've ever covered broken capillaries on the face but didn't see anything. I've tried some serums with no luck. Any chance you might cover this topic? Thank you both so much!
Awesome video! can you you do one for First Aid Beauty products?
I have SLE and cicaplast literally changed my life. I totally agree with your perspective of the serums. Also love the lotions too and the face toleriane double repair moisturizer is great too!
From America and I LOVE the oil cleanser... I had facial eczema and had a really hard time finding a cleanser that didn't strip... and this is THEE ONE
The uvmune 400(that you showed onscreen, the weird rectangle with cap on one side) is a really tiny bottle, only 50 ml (1.6 fl.oz) and not cheap, so it's absolutely a face-only sunscreen.
the best sunscreen for me with sensitive dry skin is tula! … strivectin and lancome are very good as well. please do a video on those brands…
Thanks for that! Love this!! What are your opinion on the EFFACLAR ANTI-ACNE SALICYLIC ACID SERUM???
Thanks, I’m gonna order the cleanser since I need a new one and the matte moisturizer is on my list.
I've always loved this brand. My francophone family members introduced it to me when I was younger. But, I agree with you about the product names. Lots of time I go to get a replacement, but I can't figure out what the new name is or how it differs from the slight variations in names.
LP is my go-to brand for cleansers. The Toleriane cleanser is my favorite of them all.
Great video!!
OMG! I didn't know Dr. Maxfield surfs too! I would LOVE for you guys to do a skincare video on products that are especially restorative for us surfers and for sunscreens that are reliable in the water and sun while surfing. The ONLY sunscreen I use when surfing is Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protector lotion. However, I have been a bit frustrated with how greasy it can feel during daily use, especially on top of my Skin Fix cream moisturizer during the summer. An alternative I can try is the skin fix gel cream... but I'm just nervous because I love that cream moisturizer SO much. Thank you!!
American here, and I absolutely LOVE the oil cleaner! Just rebought last week. Love the lipikar moisturizer amd it has been in my rotation for months now, too.
I first fell in love with LRP Effaclar Duo - the European version! It helped get my acne under control along with their mattifying moisturizer.
Could you guys do a whole video on body sunscreen and which one you recommend
‼️You mentioned epiduo as a great adapalene+BP product, but there is a new product (FDA approved late last year, made available February 2024) called CABTREO, and it actually combines 3 actives in one
1.2% Clindamycin Phosphate
0.15% Adapalene
3.1% Benzoyl Peroxide
My girlfriend started CABTREO late February and is really liking it so far! Just wanted to let you know about this new product as I'm pretty sure it'll become a staple in prescription acne treatments within the next few years
Love the videos!!
Hi Doctors! I have a question. First, I absolutely love the Effaclar Mat, it changed my oily skin, but during winter, it makes my face feel kinda tight, what moisturizer would you recommend to use during winter for people with oily skin?
Just the thought of a cleansing oil makes my skin want to breakout, even though I have normal skin. But maybe I should give it a try in the winter months.
I live in the UK and have to look at both the UK and US version and compare the ingredients list to see if its the same products. I'm thinking of getting the purifying foaming cleanser, hoping its not too drying for my dry cheeks but removes the excess oil on my t zone. Combination skin is fun. 💀
Love the popular AP+M but hate the packaging.. almost 1/3rd of the product is wasted.. it’s so thick and not able to dispense it.
Love the cicaplast line..and new cicaplast gel with 21% glycerin is amazing!
The Lipikar oil foaming cleanser is my current favorite. It’s the only one I’ve found from LRP that doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry. The other Lipikar face wash is fine for my body but a bit too drying for my face. The hydrating cleanser is drying on my face but works well as a hand wash.
I love their Toleriane range. I have severely sensitive skin and their milder cleanser from the Toleriane range (white bottle), the serum and moisturiser saved my skin, especially in winter. Everyone with sensitive skin should try that line.
I use the cleansing oil and the Lipikar moisturizers. I have eczema and it is so incredibly helpful for the spots on my face and body that flake and itch. Cicaplast is a bonus for flares.
Thank you for this video☺️ can you guys make a video on drugstore products for eczema!
Agreed, yes please!
I suffered from consistent acne until menopause. Went to a dermatologist at a young age. He did not suggest any moisturizer or sunscreen, and my face burned for weeks. Gave it up and never went back until later in life. But the education both you do is fun and most educational. I started again at 50 with tretinoin, and the results were fantastic. But again, I stopped my routine, and I'm started back last February. I'm 66. It's so important to cleanse with a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. I never use harsh scrubbs or chemical treatments. Using La roche-posay has provided excellent benefits. I started using niacinamide at nights and hyaluronic acid in the mornings under moisturizer with my routine. La roche-posay has the best selection in facial and all-over body care. My choice is there moisturizers.
I used their protective soothing moisturiser, recommended by the saleswoman because of my redness. I don’t know if there was something wrong with the cream in general or just the one I bought. I didn’t even use the whole thing because it made my dry skin even drier. Additionally, the redness that used to appear only when I moved from cold to warm space became a constant presence on my face; it didn’t disappear even after two years.
I have a mature skin (60 yr.) recently switch over to La Roche Posay products. I would love to hear your thoughts on Sunday Riley products.
I’d love a video about your thoughts on self tanners!
I really like the Anthelios sunscreens both the Uvmune 400 invisible fluid 50+ (another random name change previously known as the shaka fluid!) and the hydrating cream version. They have the necessary efficacy and they are so light and easily absorbed. I hate the texture of most sunscreens but these are nice enough to use every day ☀
I am obsessed with the Cerave Hydrating Foaming Cleansing Oil. It cleans and rinses so thoroughly without stripping. I’m assuming the LaRoche Posay version is similar since they’re both L’Oréal brands.
Me too ! Double cleanse in one bottle
I have that one.. it was launched here in europe much earlier than the US. It's one of the few cerave products that my skin likes.
So no need to follow with another face wash? Nice
@@elin_ I ordered it from Portugal before it was available here is the US!
The cleanser & moisturizer works well for my oily skin. I like the sunscreen too!
I’m using the cleansing oil and I love it. My skin has become very dry as I get older and many cleansers on the market are way too drying (they remove too much oil from your skin) I think the cleansing oil is calming and soothing while leaving my skin clean and keeping natural oils that are necessary as you get older. Also, the winter can really dry up your skin.
I have acne prone combination skin. I use tretinoin 4-5x a week, with 1x a week exfoliation day using GA10%. On my "rest day" when my skin is still flaky or even when my acne is inflamed, I use cicaplast after moisturizer. It's such a game changer. I freaking love that product.
Hello doctors, which cleanser would be best suited for Dry, sensitive skin, preferably without fragrance?
I like the first moisturizer you mentioned - it’s great for winter especially, but to be honest I switched to the Gold Bond Overnight Retinol one because it’s so much cheaper (I just wish the big bottle weren’t exclusive to Walmart and Amazon). Sunscreens - ditto. They’re far too expensive for me to try. The Anthelios Melt-in Milk is $30 for 3 oz or $40 for 5 oz. There are about 20 other fantastic options for the body for $10-20 for 5 oz. LRP is just too expensive. But then again, if it’s the fastest-growing skincare brand then I guess other Americans just make a lot more money than I do.
I didn’t even know that they have a cleanser oil! When did that happen! I love oil cleansers
@muhallebi6168 yes cerave has it , it LOVE IT ❤️
What about the double repair face moisturizer? What are your thoughts?
I love your voice! Thanks for sharing your lovely *yutulux* bag / wardrobe collection :) I actually love how you store your collection and definitely an inspiration for me in my future home
I have really oily skin and the Effaclar Matt moisturiser worked OK but not brilliantly. It also have a tendency to pill if you use just a bit too much. I'm now using a similar product from Biretex (Cantabria Labs) and its AMAZING. I use the Anthelios oil control sunscreen and both together really help control the oil
Please do a video on a comparison of La Roche posay and Avene. I have favorites from both
I hope they do, I love both company’s
