You spend your whole life learning how to take care of your skin; developing a routine, and suddenly - menopause - and you don't know your skin or body anymore. Thank you for paying attention! We are not ready to "throw in the towel" yet!! More videos like this please.
YES!! Check out Dr. Mary Claire Haver. She specializes in the struggles and changes women experience before during and after menopause. One of the few doctors who takes these life/body and emotional changes seriously.
Amen! ❤
@@margarethubbard1173I just started her book and I’m loving it! Acne on my jawline at 44 leads me to believe I’m having a hormonal shift. I’m easing into the fasting window while I work on switching up my nutrition. Do you use her online platform/community as well?
Yes, menopause is no joke. I’m 52 and had to start buying acne products. Lol.
Creams don't help... I'm sooo disappointed with cosmetics in general. 😢
I see people comment that they need this because they are in their 40’s. I’m in my 70’s and I REALLY need this.
I feel like this is THE FIRST video for women my age (40s), and I am so thankful! Just because we will never be 20 again doesn't mean we don't want to have gorgeous skin. Thank you so much! You guys rock!
I feel like hitting 40 is the age that you have to get to know your skin all over again. ugh Skin care products that used to work no longer work
Age is a number these days
A lot of people have better, more even, more clear skin in their 40s than 20s when acne, oiliness and splotchiness is rampant.
I just use castor oil n it does all
Oh man,just you wait 😮😢
Thank you for using brands that are affordable for all! ❤ Not just products that you have to buy at a dermatologist office. This truly is appreciated. 💖
I would love a neck video. My face is reaping the benefits but my neck can’t always handle all of the skincare. How do I make my neck look younger? Thanks, docs!!!❤
This is becoming my biggest concern!
YES! My neck is sensitive but heading south fast.
Yes yes! What is up with this loose, crepey neck skin?!?
Every product that I’ve tried that sells itself as specifically for turkey neck has caused such bad reactions from my skin that it takes about six weeks to recover from 5 days of use. The ingredient list doesn’t contain anything that stands out as irritating. Help!
U can use baccuchiol on the neck instead of Retinol. Does not irritate the area
Skincare for mature women!! THANK YOU!!!!!!❤👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Yes!!!!
And mature men
@@birnsbirns absolutely!!🤗
Yes! I’m 56 and I’m so tired of seeing young women advertising anti-aging products. They’re more than welcome to use use them in my book, but I want to hear about, and see results from women with more mature skin, using anti-aging products instead!
As if men don’t have to take care of their skin
Great video for we in our 40s, i guess aside looking good we should also plan for our retirement also. I wasn't financial free until my 40’s and I’m still in my 40’s, bought my second house already, earn on a monthly through passive income and got 4 out of 5 goals, just hope it encourages someone that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any of them right now, you can start TODAY regardless your age INVEST and change your future! Investing is a grand choice I made. Great video! Thanks for sharing!
This is superb! Information, as a noob it gets quite difficult to handle all of this and staying informed is a major cause, how do you go about this are you a pro investor?
Generally, investing requires higher knowledge. For this reason, It's important to have a solid support structure (financial consultant) to guide you through especially in asset picking. I operate with *Mary Onita Wier* an investment advisor who partners with a licensed wealth management firm. For the record, the experience has been the best for my finance. She is quite popular for her services so you might have heard of her.
*@tommygrey824* Please can you leave the info of your financial advisor here? I’m in dire need for one.
Mary Onita Wier, maintains an online presence. just make a simple search for her name online.
Thank you for the information. I conducted my own research and your advisor appears to be highly skilled and knowledgeable. I've sent her an email and arranged a phone call. Her expertise is impressive.
I'll be 70 next year, but people think I'm at least 20 yrs.younger. Even my
doctor commented. He guessed (correctly) that it was due to lack of sun.
I now use Cerave products to 'maintain' & like them.

I love when Doctors take time out of their busy schedule to give us free advice like this through social media

Thank you for addressing us forgotten women!!!! We are here!
This 64 year old previously oily now dry mature skin woman thanks you! Keep them coming.
Try taking Sea Buckthorn capsules. It will hydrate you from head to toe
Lucky you. I'm 63 and still pouring oil. My pores are so stretched out on my nose.
@@TRIPLEOG60 I'm now dry but the pores on my nose and cheeks are still large. I haven't been able to find anything to help that!!
@@19PaintedMermaids try switching your cleansers and moisturizers that contain no oil.& If you're using a creamy facial cleanser, use something that foams.
Just be carefull, because Sea Buckthorn is a blood thinner
All those young influencers or those working in skin care companies, if they are lucky, will turn 40-50-60-70-80-90+, so I never ever understood why certain ages are not being represented on CZcams in general. This video is great, because it's the basics and it's every day self care that we can use to love and respect our amazing bodies and minds.
There are numerous ,fabulous mature influencers on youtube
.Hot and Flashy.Mary Ellen over 60, Beth Beauty....All 50+, 60+
People make videos of what they know and the skin they have. You have to hunt for videos from older influencers and dermatologists who treat older patients--they're out there!
There are quite a few skin care channels done by women in their 50s and 60s-- not sure about 70s or above.
As a 53 year old woman, I really appreciated this video. Not many content creators talk about those of us with a little age....aka...wisdom. I feel even better after watching this because I already do all of what you stated. I may have to try the copper peptide and give the vitamin c a rest to see if it makes a difference. Thanks again for a great video
The copper peptides from Biossance works really well.. I’ve gone through multiple bottles of it and love it. It plumped my skin up almost instantly.. I stopped using it for no apparent reason though. I need to work it back into my routine:) Though do be careful about using it with anything with lactic acid in it because it will interfere with each other. I’m surprised they didn’t mention that along with Vit C..
If that is you in your profile pic, you look incredible already! I need to ask what you use so far? I use copper peptides and have noticed a huge difference in my skin softness and hydration.
I use the vitamin c in my a.m. routine in the copper peptides in my p.m. routine.
@sregan5415 that is me, thank you. I use niacinamide gelee face wash in the pm only. Water in the am. The evening I use a niacinamide serum, peptide serum, snail mucin, tretinoin and a thick moisturizer. I recently added the copper peptide as well. I also use an eye cream. I use lactic acid twice a week. The am is niacinamide, vitamin c, eye cream (I'm missing something) and SUNSCREEN!!
@@eiwansk your routine sounds ideal. Unfortunately I cant tolerate tretinoin and found out in the worst way (it gave me vitamin A toxicity), but aim to incorporate all the others you mention. Sadly I feel nothing will beat treat for anti-aging, but no hope in trying.
Thank you for being a very good grandson. All of us Filipinos are proud of you. Ang bait mo ❤️
PS ....... I'm 80 and I still care about my skin!!
😊 good for you!!
Its si good
I use that Biossance copper peptide due to your previous recommendation (every morning!). It's insane how well it works! (I'm 60) You guys are so cute and funny together - best, most entertaining, and informative derma channel on CZcams. Thanks Guys!!
I am using it every night with my Retinaldehyde. I love all their products
I've been wondering if I should purchase a copper peptide...
I use them at night too
@@fastingleah2604 I personally found them more helpful than vitamin c, so it might be worth it! Copper peptides did more for wrinkles and elasticity, and vitamin c more for complexion so that might help you decide, depending on your concerns
@@jgoldfarb3 What brand is your Retinaldehyde? I am trying to find a retinoid to use. Not familiar with good brands yet.
You two are the best!!! Thank you for including a topic so useful for us “moldy oldies” 😂
Seriously, sometimes in life it feels like the younger generations are somehow always the most important. So incredibly refreshing to feel like my age group is being included! Appreciate this so very much.
“Moldy Oldies” 😂😂😂

Great video!
Thanks for PDF!
Perfectly clear and easy to follow. Thank you so much from this 70 year old California girl… you can imagine the damage. Thanks again!
Amen sister! Most things you see go up to advice if you’re 40-50. Well it gets worse at 70+ and we still want to look as good as ee can!!
❤
I was lucky enough to have a dear friend that worked for La Roche. She started me on their products in my mid 40s. I am 50 now and routinely get comments that I look to be in my early 40s. 😊
Which LRP products do u use?
@@midlifemom5829yea I’d like to know too!
Thank you so much. Extremely informative.
Finally!! I think I had like hundreds of women reply to my comment about menopausal skin care. My dermatologist highly recommends niacinamide oral supplements for me because I am fair skinned, blue-eyed and blonde. Any comment on that as a strategy for prevention of skin issues in menopausal women? Thanks guys 🤍

Hello dear, but what is your concern, dry skin, melasma?
Anyways, that will do, im taking helliocare capsules and combo it with skin booster so the ingredients goes directly to the dermis, my doctor had a coctail of mixture there, well aside from the hyaluronic acid, he said he also got TA and niacinamide, they dont usually tell you some doctors they dont discuss these ingredients with you but i told him about my concerns and TA and niacinamide will help which also included in the skin boosters. I have other things but hope this helps.
Do you mean nicotinamide oral?
How many milligrams did he recommend?
Thank you !❤
Wow! I guess you can see from the many thank you comments how incredibly rare this information is and how happy we are to see ANYTHING besides canes, “discreet” underwear . orthopedic shoes and personal alert systems! Aging is a process and a gift..not an option. Enjoy that skin you have because it will change … as will your whole body. And your friends skin and bodies too! I still want to look good at 76 and eat well, exercise and do skincare with joy. I love a good serum or moisturizer! I really enjoyed this video, took notes on a few items I want/need. THANK YOU! I hope you will keep us posted on new things in the future.
I am now in my 40's so I really appreciate these videos.
Thank you for covering this topic. TimelessHA has a Matrixyl 3000 product and they are fragrance free and cruelty free. Everything I purchase for skin care must be cruelty free.
Post-microneedling skin care for me is gentle face wash, vaseline and La Roche Posey cicaplast: works for me and doesn't sting!
I have been using The Ordinary's Multi+peptide serum. I have sensitive skin and have had no problems. My skin feels very smooth and moist (if that makes sense). Love it!
Many thanks from this 62-year-old!❤ I need all the help I can get! 😂
Thanks for the video ! ❤❤❤❤
Thankful for this. ❤thank you gents!
Thanks, guys! 50 here, and just started using sunscreen regularly 😬🤦🏼♀️
I’m 61 and my skin is not a bit dry. I’m oily and so much so, I feel gross and greasy at times. Thru u I heard about Paula’s choice bha exfoliate and I can’t thank you enough! I suffer from those little sebaceous bumps and have to have them removed often and this product has helped keep them at bay. I do use a good moisturizer because I know it helps but man-this old lady is here to say dry skin isn’t always something that happens w aging! 😂😂
I hear ya sister 😂😂😂
Thank you for this video.
So helpful! Thank you!!
I've used Retin A since my mid twenties. I'm 62 and don't have many wrinkles. For some reason my skin loves it, and it's never drying. I'm also on a bioidentical estrogen patch for health and skin benefits.
Nearly the same here! I started RetinA in my late 30s and never quit. My skin is firm, line free, and so very exfoliated at age 70. It even fools new doctors as to my age. RetinA lies for me! ❤😅
I started using Retin A for acne when I was 13, and I never stopped using it because I was afraid the acne would return. It became known in the late 1980s it was excellent for anti-aging, but I’ll be 54 next month, so I’ve been using it for about 41 years. I have no crows feet, and few wrinkles but nothing deep. I also use HRT, but honestly, I don’t see the results of it the way others do.
Where do you get patches from ?
@@mrss4225 They are prescription.
Yay! I am a mature woman who has had hormone depleting treatment from hormone receptor positive breast cancer and lost a ton of skin elasticity! Good job guys💗🥰💗🥰💗
Same here! I’m 59 now but had to start on Tamoxifen in my 40s.
Same here.
Tamoxifen from my thirties. I didn’t stand much of a chance! The state of me I tell you!
Awesome duo, as always!!!! Thank you!!!!
Please teach us the 75 plus years old. You always talk about young people❤️🙏🙏
On topic of moisturizers, I tried La Roche Posay Double Repair Face Moisturizer...not impressed. However, later tried Elf Pure Skin Moisturizer with oat milk, ceramides and niacinamide...game changer! If feels INCREDIBLE on the skin. I would assume the two should change price 🙂, works well with sunscreen, doesn't pill skincare. Great product.
I think there's something about oats. Long, long ago, I used to buy this oatmeal powder that a local deli (with a skin care section) imported from Switzerland. Very easy to make a paste... probably better for the environment with less packaging, less preservatives. Anyway it always made my face feel fantastic... back in my late teens and twenties. Oatmeal in a skin care product... very appealing to me.
I also totally hated the la roche posay face moisturizer. It was the first product in my life I had a bad reaction to.
This is a great video and its lovely that themore well travelled of us are having our skincare needs addressed. Ive been a skincare enthusiast for years now and I always tell people that you can put all the fancy serums, lotions and potions on your skin but if you dont use sunscreen every day you are wasting your money! My other favourite thing is my CurrentBody LED face mask which I have used religiously for the last two years.
Thank u for valuable information

I have worked on simplifying my routine to save time and money. I use Cerave cleanser, Cerave Vitamin C and LaRoche Posay Toleraine Moisturizer with sunscreen in the morning every day. On days I am going to be outside, I use Avene's mineral sunscreen (light and not greasy or sticky)...in the evening I use Avene's Retrinal .5 and the LaRoche Posay Toleraine without sunscreen...after cleansing of course. Simple and does not break the bank. Love the results but now I am thinking of a Biossance splurge :) Seems like you two really like their brand as I also recall Dr. Shah raving about the Marine eye cream.
Thank you for the info!!
I'm nearing 50 and I just have to say all of this is really great information. I've really started taking care of my skin in the past 3 years and noticed incredible results using a lot of the active ingredients that you guys have recommended.
I have a product recommend that many people could benefit from. It's called Skin fix. Its a triple peptide barrier cream. It's rich and luscious. It's got those peptides you recommended, if you have a damaged barrier it will help to repair it. I just can't say enough about this product.
In four weeks I will turn 75. Growing up when I did there was no sunscreen and I grew up in Texas, thus sunburn! I did start using it when I worked for a dermatologist in 1978. I try to take care of my skin now but the effects of all that original sunburn has taken a toll. Thanks for your videos for mature skincare.
Have you looked into a laser treatment?
Im GREEK im 50 and everyone says i look around 35.Due to a health problem i had menopause at 42. But no wrinkles no sagging no firmness loss , nothing. My skin remains same for the last 15 years 😂😂 Its genetic because it runs in my family but i think other reasons are my Mediterranean diet and my simple skincare (no harsh actives , etc) I think less is more .Love from Greece 🇬🇷 🎉❤❤
Hi there just wondering if you use HRT at all and whether that might be helping you to stay looking younger?. Also what sort of things do you eat on your Mediterranean diet? Do you have much sugar in your diet? I'm trying to cut it down but finding that it's in just about everything!
Love all the information you two give us. ❤
Thank you! Very helpful.
Thank you SO much for listening and for taking the time to make, yet again, another amazing video!
You mentioned Matrixyl 3000.
Would love to see a video on matrixyl 3000 vs matrixyl synthe’ 6 (I have used both Timeless products, not sure if they are effective)
Great information and advice!
Thank you 😊
Super valuable advice! Keep the great content coming!
Would love a video on neck firming!
Thank you so much for suggesting products as well as explaining the necessary steps! I always enjoy hearing about the science, but hate it when there are no product recommendations. You two are FABULOUS! I’m 70, but my 40 year old daughter in law, and 27 and 21 year old granddaughters are all followers.
Great and helpful video as always!
Love you guys and this channel
I would like to hear more about in-office treatments, for example different types of laser treatments
Perfect! Just turned 40 earlier this year. I’ve been waiting for this 😄
This was great... really helpful. Thank you!

Adding Lactic Acid 10% to my The Ordinary reorder of my Argireline! Argireline is a product I'll use for the rest of my life. It's AMAZING on my 11s, or squint lines!
Hope you feel better soon, Dr. Shah. Summer colds are the worst lol.
Just found you and I am so glad you guys are so smart about all the products you talk about and the science you know about skincare. You are rock stars!
Awesome. Thank you.🙏🏽
Thanks guys 😊
I really appreciate you guys! Health & happiness to you both ❤️
Thank you for making this video ❤
Great job guys!! I needed this.🥰🥰🥰
I'm 42 years old and I've been consistently taking care of my skin for the last 10+ years. I appreciate you addressing anti-aging concerns from a natural perspective. Genetics play a role but there's other factors that contribute to healthy skin as we age - healthy diet & lifestyle, stress management, hydration and of course a good skincare routine. Thanks for a great video!
Thank you for this!! I just turned 40 and finished nursing my last child so this came at just the right time! You guys are awesome!!! Thank you thank you!!
OMG me too! Turning 40 next week 😂🎉
Thank you so much for nursing 💕
That was me about 21 years ago. A lot of life between 40 and your 60's... and you can definitely take care of your skin and look fine as you get older.
I am so impressed with you. Congratulations on your baby at 40. Love. It.
So great - thank you! You didn't mention products with retinoids, or did I miss something?
Very informative and helpful. Than you!
Love this video!
Phew - already doing all of your steps & using products you mention. I've been obsessed w/ skin care since my teens, wearing a high SPF when everyone else didn't. I'm 50 now, and due to a combo of consistent skincare routines, keeping hydrated & avoiding peak sun hours, most people think I look younger. 🥰
You guys are just AWESOME! It's like going to see a dermatologist but online. You have no idea how much you have helped me. I've been a skincare junkie since I was a teenager and today, because of that I see the results. My skin has always been oily but of course, as I age, I see the difference, but I fight it because it's something I truly enjoy. Skincare for me is not a task but a pleasure. And I've had a routine for as long as I can remember. But I learn new things every day, thanks to your channel. Thank you!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much for the download, so nice to have it all laid out together rather than trying to remember it.
So kind to share the mature routine in pdf. Truly THANKS❤
I am heading to my 40s in less than 3 years! Thanks for the video!
Thank you! My skin is unrecognizable from even 10 years ago so I appreciate this video. My biggest skincare concern is what plays nice together. I like that you suggest a routine of alternating retinol and exfoliation. I have sensitive skin and the Tula vitamin C burned my face so badly that I could barely touch it for 3 days. I haven’t gone back to vitamin C since that experience. If you could address skin sensitivities and what percentages of ingredients like Vit C are beginners strength, and maybe a routine for incorporating it, I would appreciate it. I’m always a little unsure of which ingredients mix and match.
I've had trouble with vitamin c too, but I've found the Timeless one really good and non irritating. I notice they've recently introduced a lower strength one too. I'd also recommend the Budget Dermatologist channel, she has some good advice on vit c since she's had problems with irritation as well.
vanicream has a vitamin C serum for sensitive skin that's really nice. i have very sensitive skin and have found it quite gentle.
Awesome video!! Thank you for all the fantastic information!!
I just downloaded the skincare routine. So impressed with this channel.
Thank you for finally hiving us the mature skincare content ❤ 🎉
Love watching you guys and I have made a routine based on what I've learned on your channel. I just told my sister to watch your channel too. Now I have to reach out to my other 3 sisters, as well, because you two make skincare understandable. We range in age from 61 to 75, so this video is highly relevant to our needs - thanks!
Thank you, thank you for this video! Loved it!
Wow! This video makes skin care routines so easy to follow and understand. Thanks so much!
Thank you, and hopefully many more videos for our age groups to come! We still care about our skin and want to look the best we can!
I would really love to know how to manage mature skin that is both oily and dry. I still have my oily T zone, while the sides of my face have become noticeably dry. There are of course products for combination skin but I have never seen one that also covered mature skin. Perhaps I just need to use two different cleansers on different areas of my face? This video is much appreciated as honestly, the skin care marketplace is so hard to decipher for the lay person, and it only gets harder the more “picky” your skin becomes.
Thank you! Very helpful. 👍
I love the way you guys are on a roll
Thank you so much for this, it can be so confusing when you are in the store or online trying to figure out what your should get and when you should use it. This was very much appreciated❤
Thanks guys! It's only been the past couple of years where I've been learning about skincare. This helps a lot and thank you providing luxury as well as affordable options.
Love you both- thanks 🤩
