This is my 1952 M38 Military Jeep I just finished! It's come a long ways from where it was. Every seconded put into restoring it was so much fun and worth the final results and the around town fall Jeeping!!
Incredible build and thank you for sharing. I have a completed 1951 Willys Overland pickup that I restored/built and two weeks ago I purchased a 1953 M38A1 that I have begun the restoration process. Awesome machines and fun to build, thanks again for your efforts!
Beautiful work. congratulations. especially battle against rust. I'm from Chile, since 2010 I have a early 1951 M38 and nothing worked, but now it is great, and I still work details on it.
I just purchased a 1952 m38 last week as a surprise for my grandfather whose a Korean War veteran. When I showed up to the house with it on the trailer he was ecstatic and brought back a bunch of memories. Sadly it doesn't have the original engine in it and has the F head, but regardless it's going to be a good project to work on with my grandfather. Nice video and have a nice day!
Excellent. I purchased my M38A1 for a similar reason. Spend all the time you can with him and, if possible, record the conversations. I did this with my father and there are long periods of silence and random conversations, but you can never predict when that nugget of history or wisdom will drop.
I love the song!! I was trying to look it up with the Shazam app until I seen you said you wrote it! Very well done and love the work you did on the M38 too!
Good job mate I'm impressed only took a few minutes on CZcams for this amazing metamorphosis, but I'm sure in reality it took a few minutes longer than that 😊😓😤😓😤😖😧😓😓😅😎
Sweet Jeep !!...I hope my 56 CJ5 turns out that nice...My body tub ended up in the recycler's yard...Far worse than yours...I bought a complete body tub kit with hood and front fenders plus windshield frame for $4800.00...Ouch !!...but I'll never have to deal with rust again.
did you have to sand down the paint on the hood to reach reach the original numbers if so how did you do it if you don't mind me asking. I have a 1951 m38 myself I've been working on
Thanks for the info.and I'm sure it's hard to find one with original numbers, but I have faith there's a lot of original paint popping up here are there under the 3 layers or paint over it

Beautiful! I hope one day I'll be able to either restore one of my own or buy a restored one!
SWEETEST Jeep ever!

I really appreciate that! I have a passion for music and these old Jeeps!
Nice job

I'm digging the 38 and the music. Maybe when I do my 38 up I can get you to do the score.

It's a song I made. I named it truth. Did y'all like it? I know it's not perfect, but I was making it up as I played it.
Wow that's some amazing work!!! How long did it take?
It was a 8 month build if i remember correctly. It was a really fun build and was a very original solid M38!
Have 2 1955 jeeps 4 sale. Where can I look to get an idea of how much to sell them for.

I did. I used a very fine wire wheel on an angle grinder and lightly worked it to make it appear. It's hard to find a Jeep with original numbers!

Banditandbanjo-partsdealer on Ebay has regulators for M38 and M38a1
my sister walked in wondering what song this is do you happen to know?
It’s a song I made a few years ago I named it truth.
