- I am a Twin Troller X10 owner and I am going fishing with the Garmin Panoptix Livescope. This will me a multiple part video. This one is the unboxing of the Garmin Panoptix Livescope and some discussion about warnings in the manual. In the future I will do a video on installing the Livescope and all the fixtures and wiring. Then I will do a video on using it on the water. This is going to be fun!

I can't believe you did this!!! I bought the 73sv after watching you with the 93 and I am having a great time using and learning about my unit. I will be watching to see what comes next and see if I need to make this giant leap into even more fishing tech. thanks Gerry for spending your money and sharing with us the results so we can make an informed decision on the next steps for our TT...
My Rally, I am thrilled to help us all become informed fisherman! I am glad you like the 73sv because I am so impressed with the Garmin fish finders. All my life I had Lowrance. They are good units but I am glad I changed to the Garmin line. Like you, I can't wait to get the Panoptrix Livescope into the boat and try it out. I am still waiting for a few things to be delivered and start installing it. Then I will get the video edited and published. For someone that is retired I am always busy doing things. Gerry
I think it's great how you always come up with new things to make your fishing easier and even more fun. It will be nice to see what this Black box can do. I had to pull my tractor out of the garage and plow almost 8 inches of snow the other day and we are looking at another 6 to 9 inches tomorrow. I just know how much you miss the white stuff.
Steve, You sure are right. I certainly miss all that snow and cold and slush, and ice, and freezing wind, and shoveling, and scraping the windshield, and heavy clothes, and terrible driving, and getting stuck, and...........

What does a live scope do?
It is similar to a fish finder turned on its side. Live scope looks through the water sideways to see what is ahead in the direction the special transducer is pointing.
Interesting, these gizmos have caught on especially in the crappie fishing world for some , I'm seriously considering another Garmin with side scan ,in the shallows where I frequently fish I mean from 10 ft max to 2 ft the down view don't help me much ,the water is just to shallow to make it effective , but I believe the side scan might be the ticket for my waters , I wouldn't mind the Scope ,but whew lawdy $$$_ it comes at a steep price tag for a regular Ole fisherman , (especially with the NWO Authoritarian Biden Regime In charge ,

Donnie, you sure are correct with the $$$ and everything else. You really have to think that you want the electronics to do all this. I am very curious as to how the Livescope will work for me here. The hydrilla is so heavy here that I am not sure if it will block all the signal or I will be pleasantly surprised. Soon I will know when I get this thing installed and figure out the best settings. @@LunkerFishing I'm curious as well , I know it's amazing on Crappie in structure , I wonder if it will be a effective tool for Bass ,and if it will penetrate the hydrillia , gonna be a interesting series' of videos , I do some crappie fishing here in these shallow water lakes , there's a tremendous amount of trees in them now. Hurricanes Take care of adding structures , I do know I'm gonna have to change my electronics for Sure to side scan ,I think that will show me what I need to see , but that livescope is like a pair of underwater binoculars lol 😂,, I'd have to float a loan to buy it lol ,, another great experiment with electronics for you in your particular Water situation and Target species ,,I'll surely be watching
