    Hey Rick....Steve here from Indiana...I just bought a TT yesterday, I'm really enjoying seeing so many other TT owners making these video's. I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to make this video and share your tips and "additions" to your TT. I work at Walmart, I'll have to take a walk over to Housewares and see if we have it. Thanks again and good luck on the water.

    I love the used look of your boat my TT looks just the same, I got the rod floats after watching your videos, great idea, had one go in the lake without it and got lucky I was in shallow water and was able to get it but luck may run out.

    Great umbrella setup. I’ve been wanting to add something similar to my Twin Troller. Very nice setup.

    Rick, it is nice to see the setup for others TT. I like the floor mat. Gerry

    I've been meaning to buy some kind of floor mat for my TT, just never got around to it. I already know it would be more comfortable under your feet & deaden the sound. ( I've been using a large towel folded over to fit, because I also use the towel to cover my custom livewell made for the TT. It keeps the direct sun from cooking your bait. But a floor mat would be nicer down in the floor board. ) Heck, if I knew that only costs $25 or less at Walmart, I would've already got that puppy. I'll run out & get one tomorrow. Come to think of it, you were showing that off in a much older video, and I guess I forgot. Definitely no black, that would get a little hot. Hey Rick, did you see the fella on Gerry's new video that made his casting deck very similar to yours, but he made it "a sectional". I thought it was "a 2-piece" at first, with the rear section being about the size of mine, but I got to lookin', and he made his a 3-piece. I'm wondering if ya made yours a 2-piece, if that would work good enough to access your bait bucket & stuff........and maybe no need for a trap door? Not really sure though. Also, I've always wanted to replace the rod holders that came with the TT for some better ones. I'm just waiting till they wear out, and they are starting to.........right where the post rotates. They're kind of a pain in the butt to rotate around as it is. We're getting that bad rainy weather as I speak.

    Have my eye on getting a twin troller some day. Anyway, what is involved in mounting the rod holders? Are you drilling holes for bolts, or is there something already built in to accommodate these things? Second question: what are the two "cup holder" things on each side of the boat (one in front and one in back of your rod holders). Please tell me those are not cup holders.

    • @mrtilley66
      @mrtilley66  Před 5 lety

      Hi TB,the rod holders mount using a gear tract that I screwed in with the SS screws that came with the tract. OK I want tell you they are cup holders I use the one on my left to spray bait sent on my bait the others I don't use for anything they won't hold a drink only thing on the boat that is a miss. I really like my TT.

    Rick, how do you like the position of where you located the bow stop vs the default instructions? I ask because I've had to adjust mine two times to include adding big washers to stop the bolt from warping the pillar pre-drilled holes.

    • @mrtilley66
      @mrtilley66  Před 4 lety

      Hi John, I did move the stop below the strap pull to make it easier loading and unloading, although it has held the boat in place at both positions.Hope this helps.

      Rick INSC Hi Rick, I am also interested in seeing it in action. I’ve been searching to see how anyone was handling the sun but have had no success yet. Am curious if a small Bimini might be rigged up or too much bother for such a small craft.

    Hi Rick. Was wondering how happy you are with your battle born battery? Also what battery charger are you using? I'm looking to lose some of that weight in the back of my TT. I know there expensive but I can also use it in my travel trailer. I built a deck like yours and am very happy with it. Thanks for the videos, they help new twin troller owners like me. Rocky in Oregon.

      Hi Rocky,I am very happy with the battery it has done a great job I also have my fish finder hooked to it and it stays on while I am on the water.I have the noco genius g15000 charger, after each trip I hook up the charger and leave it hooked up till the next trip.

      @@mrtilley66 I would love to get one of them nice batteries like you got, whenever I can afford it. No need for a secondary small battery to run the depth finder with yours. I keep my battery plugged into my onboard battery charger at all times too. Keeps the battery conditioned.......or say it claims anyway. It's amazing how much power these upgraded depth finders use. Even my little Humminbird with down scan/duel beam sonar starts weakening my regular 29 series battery when the day is only half over. ( Of course that includes running the twin electric trolling motors. )
