My GearFit 2 doesn't show the sleep record icon or How did you sleep with the results. How do I get it to show these details? What notification do I have to have enabled to get sleep notifications? I get other notifications just not the sleep notification.

And what about the GPS? Is it working correctly? I have the device, and unfortunately in about half of the times I go running it is not able to find the GPS signal. Is it a common problem or only of my device?
Besides what you like and don't (I agree) I would add, that I am lacking a screen that would show simultaneously - during the run - the time, the distance and the pace - swiping the screen during run is not very convenient (especially when your fingers are wet of sweat or rain - then the touch screen is not very responsive).
Concerning using it as a music player with bluetooth headphones it work nice if I have it on my right wrist - otherwise there are some lags in the music - probably the bluetooth antena in my headphones is in the right ear, and when the band is on the left wrist my body is blocking the bluetooth connection.
Anyway - I would be grateful for the feedback about the GPS. Is it only a problem of my device ?

Did someone tried to sync with a phone running on 4.4 but only with 1GB RAM? Wondering if it would work somehow.
I have just bought this watch after searching for 2 weeks and it sold out everywhere. Went to the Samsung shop and was told by the staff that is hasn't been released yet!!! In fact they argued the fact!!. I ordered it off the Samsung.com site in the end and received it yesterday. In searching for it, I found somewhere that showed a new Samsung one that will be coming out, don't know when, but it looked like Samsung S2 white and rose gold but thinner. Do you know if thats true and where (didn't bookmark it) it will sell from please?
what about the accuracy of its calculated data (Heart rate, Burned calories, Distance run)... how accurate is it ?
Questions:1) Can we see the statistics of the running lap by lap (for each km) as a garmin watch or just on the phone app?2) Can we synchronize with iphone?

IOS support is coming but not here yet. no support for lap stats. it measures the entire activity. so you would need to start and stop and activity every lap to get that dataset.
Does this measure stress like the galaxy do
A couple of things. I just got mine and installed the latest software version. When I am at the music player screen and tap the settings/gear icon that has shuffle, repeat, etc. I have no "Play Music From Phone" option. However, if you tap the phone or gear icon above the name of the song playing, it switches it from one to the other. Also, there is not 4GB of music storage b/c the software takes up around 2, so you have about 2 for music storage (I think 1000 or so songs). Thanks!!!
Its a weird distribution between rom and storage. the companies advertise 4GB of storage yet really like you said only a smaller number is really for storage. on the music you just have to start the music on your phone and then stop it, then from the watch go to music player and play hit play. that will get you to control it from the watch.
Does this tell you what heart rate zone you're in?
my GPS is not working unless I take my phone along with. the moment I turn off Phone's GPS, Fit 2 GPS also stops working. Is it a common problem with all devices or mine is faulty one?
I'm still thinking about this device. Have you tried doing other exercises besides running to see how the heart rate sensor performs? I'm a gym rat doing a combination of cardio (elliptical, stationary bike) and strength training. I've yet to find a review from that perspective.
For me when I do weight training it tracks my HR normally. But I don't start the activity tracker I keep using the auto detect.
TK Bay Ok, thanks. Most reviewers never answered that question, they've only dealt with going for a run and if the GPS worked.
Am I correct in thinking, if i use one of these and its uses Bluetooth connection to my 7 edge i then do not have the option to use Bluetooth headphones at the same time? As the bit and phone are paired, for me this would be the killer reason not to buy one as i use headphones about 5 hours a day
+Mike Young now a days all fitness trackers connect using 4.0 LE and that will not interfere with music playback. So you won't any issues in the car or while you are out.
I see you can map your run can you map your walk and bicycle ride as a workout cause I dont see that map on my gear fit 2 pro? What am I not doing right?
PS ....my wife has a Samsung smart watch which also monitors other vitals of a workout and she has a map

i bought a cheap band sometime ago which i binned after a couple days, reason being i use my hands all day at work and after a day grafting it said i had 36,000 steps which was completely incorrect, could this happen with this device, thanks for your previous reply
so the reality is that all step counters are going to vary a little, this guy has susceptible to scratches and bumps with the big screen it has. it s going to be accurate for you but you might get it bumped a fes times is you don't watch out for it. other than that it works great

I have every app available under the sun on my fitbit 2 except youtube! help! should i register under my gmail account? Should that even matter?...
Although this is a fitness band and not really a smart watch, I still think of it as a smart watch, since it runs Tizen OS, the same OS as Samsung's other smart watches. If you really want some of the functionally back, like being able to text using the mini keyboard, you can technically get that, but you would have to sideload it and it wouldn't be officially supported. Finding an app which does that might be hard though, since there's not really one place where they all are. And if you're someone who is into coding, you can learn how to make apps for Tizen OS, and at that point, just use the watch for anything you want.
How do i tell it when im going to sleep or is it suppose to automatically know ? Went to bed yesterday and nothing was recorded for sleeping

It's a great 'beginner' fitness tracker or watch. I'd love the device if it can connect to additional external devices such as a HR chest strap for CrossFit and weight lifting purposes. The accuracy of the HR is questionable as I've compared it to the Garmin Forerunner 235 and Garmin HR chest strap which the BPM were off roughly around 5 and sometimes more than 10. The RHR is also questionable as my Garmin states I'm at 48 but the Gear Fit 2 states otherwise, at 44... I'm no crazy athlete but hitting 44 or less is reserved for those elites and I'm no elite lol Samsung is too generous if that's the case. Lastly, I'd love if the device would sync to some of the popular fitness apps such as Strava. Maybe next update of the device. They need to build one for the avid runners who needs more stats than just calories and HR. Again, this is just aimed for the beginners. Great review though.
Hi, nice review. I have had mine now for about 6 months and (pretty much) love it. Quick question: Can you charge it via a wall charger? How about via a power bank?
I would say that it might work but not as fast. since the plug is USB A. I would try it and see how long it takes. It cannot hurt it. the Powerbanks should only provide enough power to what it needs.

not sure why its doing that, the only thing I would recommend is a reset. if it stays like that exchange it or call Samsung for a warranty exchange

I don't understand why Samsung hasn't released some replacement bands being that the band being unreliable and the fact that it is a fitness tracker yet make sure a band for it. It has been a compliant from the beginning and I truly don't understand why they haven't some up with replacements yet......
its unfortunately something they do they would rather focus on the next model than fix the existing bad design

i have one question can we take a bath with the watch ? is it really water proof or resistant ?
Most of the time the temp of the water is not Mentioned. And they say water resistant. I would not use it in hot water for a long time.
Mahmoud Eledrissi The tracker is water resistant to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. so yes you can bath with it on. I hope this info helps.

Loose no, just one time. I hit it with my hand and it came out and I put it back on. The loop works well in keeping it on.

More bands will come out and for the current design it's an easy fix. I bought the fit2 and when I turned it on it told me I already burned 700+ calories. Ok no big deal it's just confused. Next day, I turn it on and it's the very same thing. Also told me I went up 512 flights of stairs when I went up only 4. Do not buy, this thing is very inaccurate.
