Hi Guys, could the C.S. pin be “Confederate States”? Perhaps a reproduction, the pin mechanism seems too modern to be from the civil war era.

I know you guys know a lot more than me about the civil war but I just found out last night that Maryland was almost a confederate state. Wow, I'm a proud southerner but I would love to get up north to detect. The battle areas around here are few and far between and usually privately owned or state owned. Love watching you guys keep it coming.

When you were raking your hand thru the wire cage, on the bottom right center there is a quarter size coin in the debris. I re-watched and I am pretty certain. No joke.

That little star pin with the 1 in the center is a Boy Scouts 1 year membership pin. I hunted an old scout camp years ago and probably dug 50 of the things.

Great Vid Guys! About the C.S. U.S. pins... maybe there was a civil war re-enactment in that field? so that's why the pin closure seemed more modern and you weren't finding musket load.
