You might take a tip from the benchrest guys. Once you find where your scope wants to live and finalize your ring bases location. You might want to lap your rings in before finally mounting the scope. You might be surprised how much pinch/bending can be in mass produced scope ring sets.
Might have missed it in this video or the other, but what rings did you end up going with? Just picked up the same rifle and found the match pro for sale second hand including rings, but not sure if the leupold rings included with it will be right height
A word on leveling - it doesn’t do much without an anti-can’t device or bubble level.

What happened to your RPR build? I could t find a video discussing why you changed and what your thoughts were on the rifle when it was completed.
