Hey, thanks for the video, quick question I have. What would be the best cheapest way to do tire size calibration/programming on new ram
I used that ECRI module on my 2019 Chrysler 300 and it worked great. It costs about half what the others cost. If anyone is wondering about it, I didn't need to download the software for that ECRI device. I just plugged it in and used alfaobd like usual.

I have a 2018 ram 1500. Came with projector headlights originally. I bought and installed morimoto XBs a while back, they were flawless. Well within a year they got cloudy and morimoto changed them out. When I installed the replacement ones I got a left front turn signal out on the trucks display. Everything was installed just like the others and all lights are functional. Any ideas? Also the left side view mirror hyper flashes but not the front or rear left turn signals

How can I make this work for a 2012 Ram? There is no LED search option for that model. I put led bulbs for my front and rear turn signals and reverse lights.

Hey John, I’ve been following your videos since you had the gray ram you supercharged and did all kinds of stuff to! They have been real handy with working on my own 2014 ram sport from changing headlight bulbs to changing the 8-speed transmission fluid! Thanks for all of the help! My truck also has the factory projector headlights that has the LED turn signal lights and 2 LEDS have burned out making the computer give me the ‘turn signal light out’ msg on my dash. Sometimes it gives and error and I’ll go months with it on, then one day it’ll be gone for months and working properly. When the error is on, the inside signal and the light on the tow mirror hyper flash, but the front and rear signal flashes like normal. Do you think or know if this plug in programmer could possibly help it since it’s factory LEDS? The dealership only wants to sell me a whole new headlight fixture.
I have the same problem unfortunately my rear OEM led tail light is burnt out and only fix is to replace it. You could always get the switchback LED for your headlights and put them in
@@BoostedMotorsports that’s what I was afraid of. It generally works fine until I drive in the rain or it gets moisture in it some other way, but sometimes it just has a mind of its own!

i have a 15 dodge dart and i get none of those options and the one option i get is headlamp led managment and when i set that it set off my tracking control and air bag light. how do i get this to work
I just tried this and then removed my wiring harness that I bought from morimoto and now it show beams out when they are on. Also had to hook back up the harness because the lights wouldn’t turn on without the harness
I have a 2015 dodge Ram sport and upgraded to morimoto xb2’s and now my low beams randomly turn off during a short drive at night. My high beams always work though? Would this video apply to fix my issue

Hey John I got the HID kit and I have a 2015 ram 1500 with projector headlights. I got the kid you showed plugged it in to the low beam and it won't turn on sometimes it will flicker but never holds on. I got the resistors and they didn't change it. I finally just ordered this obd2 port and got the alpha app. Do you think this will make it turn on, someone please help it's been very stressful trying to figure out. Also the hid will work in my high beam just not the low beam projector. Can I use both at the same time also ?
Yes turn on the HID and LED low beam setting and remove the resistors

@@BoostedMotorsports I went in and changed the settings with the alpha obd it works amazingly! I have the hid in the low beam and the Led from your other video in the high beam. Thanks again John already interested in the throttle lag upgraded !

@@miguelprz1020 I got the 55w kit from johns vid. They didn't work at all until I got the alpha obd and chip and went in the settings turned the high intensity on and turned the high and low beam led on
Can it change the tire size so speedometer will work correctly
Yes. "Program tire size". I have 35/12.5/20s. So you have to find the circumference in mm. Mine is about 2791mm
Do you think this program you use can also turn off the mds ?
MDS has to be done with tuning software such as HPtuners or DiabloSport.

I left mine plugged in so I can see the read outs as I drive. But you can take it out and it will be fine
So I have a 2018 Ram 1500 and I just did this process and for some reason I am still getting the message on the instrument cluster when the headlights are on and I turn the signal on “parking light out” even though they are all set to LEDs. I did this at like 11am and let it sit until about 3pm and it’s still showing that message. Sooo is there something else I need to change to get that message to turn off? Do I have to let it sit overnight?

Anyone have the parking light out message after upgrading to Alpharex G2 pro headlights? If so did you get it to delete stored message ?
Yes, I did have it coming up time to time, found out if you unplug the tiny wire that goes to battery terminal it will clear the message in the dash

@CxtyMxrgue it turned out I had a bad resistor on the passenger side front parking/turn signal from the previous led lights setup I had after replacing the resistor the warning cleared

So far i cant really tell if anythin changed as far as regular driving but it seems like my shift points might be a little higher when im hammering on it. I had the same issue a week ago so i decided to go back to my app store and looked up AlphaOBD and it needed a update
why not just get a tazer
a Tazer only does a fraction of what alfaobd can do. alfaobd pretty much gives you dealer level access to all the modules in the car, a Tazer is very limited in what it can change and mainly only interacts with the Body Control Module.
I don't get light out error but my led headlights randomly turn off.
Always come back with a restart of key.
