Arnold is showing off the places associated with his early struggles, not his later fame. Those are the times he seems most proud of and misses the most.
Not surprising really, he came from a very modest background. And of course he was very young when he first came to America.

Arnold has truly lived a full life. Mr. Universe, 7x Mr. Olympia, an author, has his own line of supps. Own bodybuilding contest, Actor, damn governor of California, and a great role model/idol. Not a lot of people, if any, can say the same for themselves. Very very impressive.

I love how proud he is talking about how the wall he built is still standing. The pride he has for everything he put work into; whether it is his body, acting career, or a wall. Love this man.

It might already exist, if you buy a TomTom navigation device they have tons of funny voices you can download. I remember before smartphones we had the Darth Vader voice and an Old granny voice 😂
@@mongoose4960 I remember having a GPS-app with lots of voices, but suddenly there were just two or three "standard" voices. I'm assuming they got hit with a copyright infringement. And I'm guessing most others who try, end up the same way.
There was one for a short time before one of the Terminator movies. I had it and it was awesome. "Turn left human!" :D It was really cool.

I love it when he talks about Franco you can hear the love and respect in his voice. Growing up I was a huge Arnold fan of course but Franco was more inspiring and relatable to me because I’m a fellow short fella and learning his story and working out gave me self confidence!

Thanks for putting this together. I have been to Venice Beach a few times, but getting a personal tour from Arnold is absolutely the only way to do it.
Arnold is a smart guy and much can be learned from him, I love listening to him speak. It's feels like I'm receiving wisdom.
There are so many people here who know how hard this man worked for what he has. Determination, dedication and sacrifice to achieve as much as he could in a life time and it was all will power and commitment. God bless you Arnold and thanks for the motivational talk, shows how much you still enjoy it and care.

Just worked out there. Will never forget it. I’m no Mr. Universe contender or even a standout, but people actually stopped to watch me and my flaccid toned body and others, lol, just because we were lifting weights where Arnold lifted. Ty Arnold, Joe Weider, and the other pioneers.

Of all the videos I see of old Arnold, he's like the cool grandpa everyone wants to know when they want advice for anything, not just for body building.
Arnold is literally the most masculine dude I've ever seen in my life. He literally did every masculine job from construction to bodybuilding. Even his acting roles were masculine.
My inspiration
All his accomplishments because he had a vision and the discipline to stick to it. Inspiration at its best.
After my first divorce I joined a gym and found out just how hard even doing a good workout is. Those body builders spend so many hours just accomplishing little things. I admire anyone who sticks with it year after year. The real payback is in your health. Do you sleep well, do you have any energy, do you want to be healthier? Try working out just moderately for 1 year. Dont over do it and dont hurt yourself but stick to it. You will have more energy, sleep better and find your health improving. Dont try it for 6 months and say it is not working. You did not get in the shape your in in 6 months so your not going to accomplish perfection in a short time. I never did any body building but just wanted to improve my health. I am 69 and try to work out regularly. For me it helps a lot!

I love how humble he is, and the passion he has to explain what body building is. I've always admired this man since I was a little girl , I remember reading his body building books at home since my stepdad bought them but never really worked out hahaha, great inspiration !

Just finished watching one of Arnold's video series ( Tour of Venice Beach ) and it was just like riding along on a tour with one of the greatest bodybuilders in the world. l share a passion for bodybuilding that's as strong today as it was over forty years ago. Arnold has always been a bodybuilder who gives back to the sport, and in doing this helps in sharing his vast knowledge with all of us. Thank you Arnold.

I loved Venice back then in late 60’s and 70’s and saw Arnold many times, but that whole area has become so densely populated and so expensive to buy property that everyone I know moved far away. California was wonderful back then.
"He asked me, how much would it cost to build this wall around my house? "And I just made up a number, $5,000....and Franco says, no I think we can do it for $2,000. And I say to him, Franco relax....its $5,000." LOL

Wow. Arnold is still larger than life even when in a video! I don't have a lot of reason to go to California, but he is someone I'd LOVE to meet in person, and it'd be awesome to be one of the people lucky enough to catch him driving around Venice Beach of all places.

Ironman the sad part is foreigners are excluded from holding the presidential office but Arnold cares more about America than 99% of Americans now. He’s a true American that took advantage of the opportunity here when those 99% are okay with just being average. I say we should let him run, maybe holding governor for a certain time should be a qualifier or something like that
