  • We’re at the legendary Gold’s Gym in Venice Beach with Hollywood action stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Dolph Lundgren. Arnold calls out that this is actually the 40th anniversary of their first meeting - which happened to occur at the same gym - while Dolph shows his appreciation to have a workout partner other than Graham.

@@rhatikeo You referring about actors or strong people in general?
If it's actors, I can sort of see it to some extent. Though the ideology with actors kind of got skewered where in behind the scenes it looks like female actors are going harder with their training than their male counterparts. Take Chris Evans for example. Mr. Captain America, yet he tapped out from the MCU, wants to just live like Homer Simpson now, and is more than happy to let his female costars like Ana De Arnas do the action roles.
Also to further add to the comment. Arnold himself also complimented his female costars like Emilia Clarke and Mackenzie Davis for how hard their trained for their terminator movies. Though I'm not sure if he had the same compliment for the men though.

Dolph left Hollywood for Spain but when he ran in to trouble, they welcomed him back with open arms. These guys fought with each other over the years but once you are in that Gold's Gym / Hollywood brotherhood, you never leave. 1986, me and the wife were in Vegas, at a Pointer Sisters show and sitting way in the back on the balcony level. Table were all length wise towards the stage. Each table had maybe 10 seats, 4 each side and 2 at the back. Five minutes after the show starts, 6 people were escorted to our table. A big, tall blonde guy sits on the very end and right next to me. I glanced at him as they sat down and it looks like Dolph, but asked my wife to check and see. One look and she said yes it is. He came in with his friends and one I swear was Bruce Weitz who played Mick Belker on Hill Street Blues. I have never been star struck type guy and do not bother people especially when they obviously came in under the cover of the dark after the show started. I turned to the side to grab my drink and he looked right at me and I said " hi Dolph, how are you? He said fine thanks. I turned back around and enjoyed the Pointer Sisters and left him alone. They then left about 5 minutes before the show ended. I would think that stars got special treatment and seats and all, but this was early in his career and maybe they decided to come at last minute. Either way, a memorable moment in my life.
