Hi Arun! I study structural biology and have heard about the amazing advances in research for mosquitos being a vector for malaria. I believe they started to do research a few years ago on replacing the sequence in mosquitos that allows them to be a vector of malaria with a dominant form that doesn't affect the physiology of the mosquito. I think it had something to do with the storage of the blood in the female mosquito. They would replace this dominant sequence in the males and render the ability for the mosquitos to transfer malaria inoperable. I believe there was another disease spread by mosquitos that was under investigation as well-not zika but they could probably do it for that as well as a third disease to study. I just thought you'd want to know that!
🤓🤓
Is the other disease dengue?
I'm still surprised this only has 30 likes, seems interesting.
I absolutely love the dynamic you bring into your videos. All the gestures and the editing is just so great besides the invention theme of course
Imagine working your whole life discovering ancient Mayan civilisations just for a British guy in an Indiana jones costume to rate your discovery 4/10 😂😂
When in Rome...........
@@wambugu2101 Sack it
Bruh
@@BobDingleJR bruh
Actually! the rate was given to an invention that had helped to discover more about the Mayan civilization not for working any part of anyone's life for that aim... One could still argue that such a rate is not fair, but I believe the rating was in relation to the other invention he was talking about, not to their importance or the efforts behind said inventions! This is how I received it, at least.
Anyway; Thanks a million or should I say a 10 million ;) to Arun and the entire team for all the hard work and devotion.
The last 3 vids you just made is like you throwing everything good you've been working on behind the scenes at us all at once.

"prime mate" got me 🤣🤣 amazing content!
I have to thank you for these videos. Watching these videos gives me hope for humanity. Most creations and inventions tend to only pop up in media because they are going to generate someone a bunch of money. It's great to see that there are things that are actually just trying to make life better. Yeah, some things I will make people rich but that will always be the case. It's just refreshing to watch something positive, so thank you.
The fact that Arun is able to make such high-quality content so frequently always amazes me
He is really cool and inspiring to me
Don't forget the two guys from his team
Then again, he is the boss :)
@Prince Cooper But still that takes time

That zoomable contact lense is insane.
As someone with low vision with my lense that cannot contract to zoom in far away object, this might be a game changer.
Yes same
Same , also do you know where we can get those night vision glasses? Im obsessed with IR light and need glasses Anyways so I wanna get them and wear them 24/7
Have recently started watching your videos. Like them much and especially you being honest and self critical
I'm really not sure I would want my house to be biodegradable. It's a thoughtful idea, and I'm sure those that made that choice were well-intentioned, but it seems like it would be better in theory than in practice.
If it's made out of earth, as they claim, it's not so much biodegradable as it is susceptible to erosion.
@@PunnamarajVinayakTejasisn't "earth" just another word for dirt?
@@hero-bo7qc yes. Dirt isn't biodegradable, it just erodes.
@@PunnamarajVinayakTejas yeah, it sounds great in practice until a bunch of mud falls on you when it rains
How can someone be so professional, smart and funny at the same time. Your videos are really far advanced than others. Huge respect

@Esyo After he hit 10M a lot has changed, maybe the video you watched is outdated
@Esyo ye
@Esyo I meant that in reply to Alpha Centauri I was saying that a large factor of his quality is his team that makes the videos so awesome for us
This has now become one of my favourite tech channels, nicely done Arun and the team.
I watch your videos

Honestly, I’m really excited about the contact lenses, because I already wear contacts and that sounds amazing.
The fact that this guy Literally Rick rolled us in basically every single video he’s ever made is incredible
I'm always looking through those videos trying to see if he forgot to rickroll us. He never does. 😂
Where
bro what are you doing here?
Ja
Kinda getting lame now
When Arun will become a father, he will never run out of the Dad Jokes.
Prime mate... he really needs to sit in the naughty corner for a while hahahaha
The way this human explains everything is so very good
The "dots" from amazon robots are LIDAR too :) I'm a bit concerned about neurolink. In electronics there is a paradigm: Everything that can recieve EM-Waves is also able to send EM-Waves. So in theory it is possible to control lifeforms with neurolink...
Thank you for making a follow up video on this. The original Theranos video you made was what hooked me to your channel.
Me too!! The first theranos video was good!

“Pretty much every single monkey that had had implants put in their head suffered from pretty debilitating health effects,” said the PCRM’s research advocacy director Jeremy Beckham.

But didn't they only use animals " healthy enough for one anesthetic event but probably not have proper quality of life due to a pre-existing condition".
If you conduct all your experiments on sick monkeys, all the monkeys that get the implant will be sick.
Implanting Neuralink wouldn't suddenly cure them of all their pre-existing conditions
I just stopped by to say these video editting skills are insane! props to creating such an interesting video that kept me hooked til the end

The invisibility cloak material raises concerns, just imagine invisible weapons and spy cameras. Also the fact that it is inexpensive means that anyone can buy and use it... for good and bad.
They aren't perfect though... you can't sneak into someone's house with it, it's just good for camouflage
@@josipj705 even then I can definitely see people use the tech to hide cameras in places where you might not look super closely.
@@AnymMusic it's basically useless for hiding cameras as the Camera will not be able to see whatever is on the other side just as the person on the other side cannot see the camera
It's a double edged sword
@@animegamer3336 do you have a source for this information? Because I think you can see through concave lenses and it's only looking at the convex side that makes it invisible. I may be wrong though.
Maybe they will make it so you need a license

Huge respect for the amount of effort you put in these videos man! Always excited for the uploads.

#8: Yeah, that's a GREAT idea. I'm sure there's NO WAY people will try out the zoom feature WHILE THEY'RE DRIVING to try & see road signs a bit easier, only to then crash because they're responding to what they think is happening around them. Granted, if you were to combine this with the one before it about the night vision glasses & instead of winking you squinted to activate the zoom feature only for it to reset when you've relaxed your eyes for about 15 seconds, that might help with things like finding addresses at night - the bane of every "rideshare" driver, cab driver, & delivery driver's existence.
This is true for pretty much every invention... you know they invented cars so people could get around easier and transport goods, yet there are idiots that race them on the streets.
@@etherealicer id say combine 10 with 8 and the night vision and you have yourself a fucking super human capability of changing the limit of human potiential ... >.> CP 2077 might actually become real
@@dragoonduneman4161 I would buy that... actually I would also buy the individual products, both sound pretty cool.
@@etherealicer Those “idiots” are the reason land-based transportation has gotten to where it is today..
Aerodynamics, energy efficiency, tyre innovations, etc - all owe it to those so-called “idiots”.
@@BEAST.420G You really think that is thanks to the idiots who race on regular roads? Also, these days its actually legislation that pushes progress, so why did they not stop?
9:20 i feel like we could make night vision contacts
if youre gonna do that, you should just double down and make night vision zoom contacts
@@hamzaasif1077 so just... become... "man"? i like that idea
I think that the zooming contact lenses are pretty cool, but I would take a lot of convincing for me to get neurolink

wow Rhinoshield is actually the first promotion on youtube i have ever clicked. You are a beast.
If zooming lenses are possible, i think it would also be possible to create lenses that can change color on command, like if you’re angry at someone you can just make you eyes turn fully red for a second, not only your iris, but also the white part around it.
No one’s gonna talk about how good that monke is at gaming? He was killing it in Pong!
