- Sizzix big shot A4 plus machine review, i had this machine and thought i would share my thoughts and show you the capability, which as you see it doesn`t live up to its smaller brother machine,( in my opinion )..

I am watching this video the latter half of 2018, and was having similar problems with my Brand New Sizixx Big Shot Plus machine, so I returned it and now am waiting for the replacement. I bought mine from Amazon so it has been hassle free to get my replacement. Mine didn't want to work with Shim A at all. I had to adjust the cutting pads to get it to work, and then there was still too much pressure on the pads, as only using it one day caused one of the pads too already be slightly warped, and my new dies also. I was using the proper combination of Shim A, cutting pads, with the included thinlit dies. Shim A seemed to have been the problem. It was not a pleasant experience using the machine. There was so much pressure on mine that the sandwich including the base plate would shoot onto my table when rolling out of the machine.
A new user should not have to wonder how to adjust cutting pads to use their Big Shot machine. It should work just like how it does in Official Sizixx videos when watching the demonstrations.
I have the big shot plus and I really love it. I’ve got no problems with it.
Big shots are good but this particular machine does not cut evenly,no matter what table is on..
Use wax paper between your paper and die for easy removal. Also, try cutting face down instead of up. Use a paper shim if a die does not cut all the way.

You know, I think someone should do a video on all the tips that a new person to using the Big Shot could try, if they are not successful in using their machine. New People use the machine just exactly how it is demonstrated in the Official Sizixx Videos and are very frustrated when things don't work as shown, because of course they don't know what else to do.
Hi. Your problem with cutting the Thinlits is you are using the wrong adaptor plate. You should be using adaptor plate A, not B. Should cut well then.

Dose this machine able to cut all kind different dies?
Aren’t you supposed to lay the die cut on top of your paper?

If you look at the platform it shows the die beneath the paper,i really didn't like this machine, prefer the normal biog shot,i tried all of these throughout the years too , but if you want that size plate as you are buying A4 plates then you need it

Your dies should be on top of the paper
