Paul sang the song live on Ed Sullivan's show, {the video you showed), just a moment before he sang 'Yesterday', on the show, a theater worker told him that over 50 million people are watching him. Imagine walking on stage and knowing you are being watched by that many people and you've got to sing all by yourself, your beautiful song 'Yesterday'. He didn't show a single sign of fear or nervousness, he sang from his heart, and won over America, even John Lennon said right after Paul's performance, "that was just like him", John loved Paul's voice and incredible talent. Ever since I heard and saw the Beatles in a 'live' concert, I've loved them as extended members of my family as adopted brothers. You couldn't do better than the Beatles for perfection and authenticity. They lighted up all of our lives. Greatest group ever, and I'm a 100% dedicated Rolling Stones fan too.
My Mom was one of those teen girls who would scream when the Beatles would come out on the radio way back when so for Mother's day I took her to see Sir Paul. I sat there for three hours and knew every song. just an amazing talent and let's just say how The Beatles are just OP. I mean three amazing songwriters in one band???
Hey Rebeka! Paul is the GOAT! It doesn't get any better. Writer, musician, performer. Unbelievable talent!
A really nice man too
The melody of this song came to Paul while he was sleeping.
The melody to “Yesterday” came to Paul McCartney in a dream. He woke up and stumbled to the piano by his bedside to work out the chords. “I just fell out of bed, found out what key I had dreamed it in…and I played it.” ... It could only have happened to McCartney at the place and time it did.
And, it happened again with Let it Be. He dreamed of his mother, Mary, telling him to not worry and to Let it Be.
@@mlong1958 very true!
He also called the song scrambled eggs at first and worried he was copying someone else’s work so he went around people he knew asking if they knew the song
@@nigeh5326 The first improvised lyrics were the ode to scrambled eggs
@@chupasaurus "Scrambled eggs.... How I would love to eat some scramble eggs.... But I already had some yesterday....Oh I believe in scrambled eggs!... Suddenly.....it occured to me I should name it differently....There could be a better name, yes a better name than scrambled eggs....Why can't I come up with a new name I couldn't say..... I think the title's wrong, now I long for a better day!....Scrambled eggs....oh how I love to change the name of scrambled eggs....I wish I had never ate those eggs......yesterday...." 😥
IIRC at the end of the performance, Ringo comes on stage and presents a bouquet of flowers to McCartney, presumbly from a fan. McCartney accepts the flowers, but suddenly Ringo walks back quickly still holding onto the flowers while McCartney is left holding nothing but pre-cut flower stems. A great prank!
It is a very beautiful piece of music, and yes, Paul McCartney's voice is wonderfully unique. Thanks for sharing this with us -
The Beatles are the one and only GOAT.
I saw Paul live in 2010. 3 hours non-stop of classics.
Great job, Becks 👍
Thank you.:)
Paul woke up singing "Scrambled Eggs, oh, my baby how I love your legs." He recorded it on a small hand-held tape player he kept by his bed and took it to the boys to confirm it's his original. This is the finished product. The Beatles have most number one hits in history. I really appreciate your reaction. Every other beautiful young woman on Earth loved his voice, as well.
Your reaction to this song was priceless! 'Yesterday' is a masterpiece! It's a classic for the ages! Peace & Love 😎✌❤
Thank you.😊🙏🏼
I've been a Beatles fan since sometime in the mid sixties as we watched them on the Ed Sullivan show. In fact as a kid I had a number of Beatles 45 records, which unfortunately were stolen among other items when we moved back to the states after 3 years stationed in Turkey.
An absolute masterpiece that will stand the test of time!
This is the most recorded and covered song in history. And, as far as I know, it is the only Beatles song where only one Beatle played or sang on it.
Wild Honey Pie was also a Paul only song. There are a few solo Beatles tracks Paul did the most
@@nigeh5326 Learn something new every day. Wild Honey Pie sure sounds like John is singing too, but he isn't.
@@mlong1958 Paul did 6 on his own and the others did 1 each according to a reply on Quora. John’s was Julia, George’s was within you without you and Ringo’s was goodnight.
@@nigeh5326 Yeah, Paul HAD to do those 6 on his own, because unlike ‘Yesterday’, the other songs were a load of silly bobbins like ‘Wild Honey Pie’ what could not justify their own existence.
There's a few where only one sings. Blackbird another example
Pauls working title to this song was " scrambled eggs" until he got the words.
A beautiful lady listening to a beautiful song that was before her time, is so beautiful. ' Yesterday ' is my all time favorite of ANY songs...Great reaction, cheers..
Thank you.😊🙏🏼
That was Paul's first appearance without the Beatles. It was on the Ed Sullivan show in New Your City. He was scared to death. Live performance! No retakes. A stage hand was about to assist opening the curtains so nothing would go wrong. He ask Paul if he was scared and Paul lied and said "no". Then the stage hand said "You should be. There are 13,000,000 people watching!" Then he opened the curtains!!!!!
wherever it was, the piss-my-pants mode was likely true to some degree - IF, in fact, he was playing totally solo when the Beatles were still together - '65 or thereabouts - OR did they just go off stage to let Paul have his solo moment without an orchestra in tow??? WHICH seems to be the case, with the drums and amps set up on stage and Paul in a VERY Beatle-looking outfit
@@sunrajah On Ed Sullivan he was completely alone. I just learned about the Blackpool performance here so that's all I know about it. In any case I would not think Paul would have accepted the fake dubbing. I suspect that happened much later. I was 15 at the time, so my "piss-my-pants mode" would not have been in effect unless I drank too much from my still I had set up down on the creekbank. ;)
@@NGT-eb2oy I did not know that. Thanks!
@@NGT-eb2oy Very good! He looks scared, so maybe he remembered that part correctly in 2014. ;)
Always a great and honest reaction, a beautiful song . Always great to see you
Thank you.:)
Paul McCartney was 21 when he wrote it.
Most covered song in history. Top selling musicians of all time.
we sang this song at a music lesson at school in Ukrainian🇺🇦, legend, nice reaction
Love it! I was like 7 years old when my older cousin played a album from them. been a fan since
I remember all ages groups loved the Beatles
You watched Paul sing 'Yesterday' and fell in love instantly...
One of many top shelf songs from them, this one has a bit of a Tchaikovsky influence I think, with the string swells. "She's Leaving Home" is another melody from McCartney that you won't be able to get out of your head. There's no known cure.
The quality and sheer amount of music they put out in 7 years is mind-blowing.
So I see a beautiful young lady having enjoyed the ride, has now put this reaction thing in it's proper place and is ready to move on to her next challenge. Continued success in life, love, and happiness.
As always Rebeka, you draw me in to your reaction - much the same way you describe that Pauls performance do to you 🥰 Thank you for yet another mesmerising reaction video with insightful and true comments 🙌🏼💖 I agree with every word you say 🤗
An exceptional Beatles song, as are many of them. I couldn't help but take a couple of screen shots while you posed for us, Thank you.
I have so many things I want to say about the video, but I think I'm just going to say Thank you so much for reacting to, IMO, the best band ever. 🙂👍
This appears to be a marriage between the studio version and the live video. I want to say this is the one where Harrison says for Paul McCartney opportunity knocks. After the performance Johns says "Thanks Ringo" ha!
The 1st record my Dad bought me back in 1979 when I was 9yo. RIP Dad
The Beatles una de las mejores bandas del rock de la historia, y de verdad que hermosa carita tienes y tu voz es tan encantadora 😍
Es la mejor banda
No es una es la mejor por escándalo
It is one of thee greatest love song of all time.
Deceptive! This is live video but the audio is the studio version, so someone has mixed and matched very well. Everything else you said is spot on and I enjoyed your reaction.
Thank you.😊🙏🏼
Thank you so much for your reaction to this masterpiece...Awesomeness
Thank you.😊🙏🏼
Hello Miss Rebeka !!! There is No Question About how much I Still Enjoy the Beatles Music together or Separately
Here Are 2 you might Enjoy As well
1)John Denver ( Country Roads )
2)Eva Cassidy ( Song Bird ) 😄
Beautiful reaction❤
Less is more, a perfect classic.
Que bueno que te haya gustado! The Beatles son la mejor banda de la historia! Saludos desde Buenos Aires!
Love your reactions beautiful young lady!! Always!!! 😘🤘❤.. You are my Reaction Queen!!!
Thank you.:)
The very idea - he went around singing it to listeners to gauge their reaction as to it's originality. No one had heard it before. A genius without an ego.
One of most beatiful songs ❤❤
This vid, along with the actual recording is on here somewhere. It opens with George saying. 'For Paul McCartney of Liverpool; opportunity knocks,' (After a well known talent show ) Beatles then leave the stage. When they return John gives Paul a bunch of flowers and says 'Thank you Ringo, that was wonderful.' And yes, it was in England in the summer of 65
The entire melody came to him in a dream. But the words came later. His working title was "Scrambled Eggs" something about a girl with great legs. Maybe John or someone else nixed that idea but eventually he wrote the classic song we know. I'm guessing it was inspired by Jane Asher. It made people take the lads from Liverpool seriously.
Many years later Kelsey Grammer wrote his theme song about scrambled eggs and tossed salad (strange combo) "they're calling again"
Good Night Seattle!
If you want to hear a really romantic love song then the Rascals song "How can I be sure" is a must listen as well as the Beatles "Oh Darling."
How Can I Be Sure is a great song.
I missed your reactions. love ya and your choices of vids
Thank you.😊🙏🏼
Great song, beautiful reaction. Shine on, woman!
Thank you.😊🙏🏼
You are not alone. It’s a magnificent song and Paul is the vocalist to sing it. Paul McCartney is often called the GOAT, and I agree.
Beatles did everything. Psychedelic, rock n roll, melancholy. This is in the latter category, like Norwegian Wood. It's quite beautiful. Not much more to say than that
Love seeing your reactions to this great classic song sweetheart
World famous band after all the years its stood the test of time legend's great reaction still love the hair. :-))
Thank you.:)
I think people should be familiar with this song (and almost all of The Beatles' songs) right after they emerge from the womb. Add to that The Beach Boys "Good Vibrations" and Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Waters." You should know these songs before you've ever listened to them. They are timeless.
I wish i could go back to yesterday!🥲
If you're going down the Beatles route, don't forget McCartney did some really good stuff with Wings afterwards too :)
It's that super model Rebeka again with another great reaction. I bet her picture is in the dictionary right next to the word beautiful. No definition would be needed.
Thank you.😊🙏🏼
One of my favorite Beatles song. Also like your new hair. You look gorgeous as usual.
Like most of their music... Timeless. Like your eyes.
The ultimate singer, songwriter, musician
A true legend
Until the release of Yesterday, most Beatles' tunes were aimed at their focus group of teen girls. This song spoke to a darker part of growing up. It also indicated a direction few anticipated the group to have taken. From that point on, their growing maturity reflected in their songwriting.
Beatles 4ever!
When Paul got the idea for this song to remember the tune he made up some lyrics you help him remember it. They were: "Scrambled eggs you got such skinny legs". Or something close to that. :)
Simply love ur reactions!!! LD...BTW new subscriber
I was lucky enough to see the Beatles on a number of occasions at the Cavern club in 1962, magical times, but unfortunately so long ago, but I still feel young😀
That’s amazing. Good for you.🙏🏼
He wrote this at the age of 17 under the original title "Scrambled Eggs".
a masterpiece
Love your channel. You are doing great. Please keep going.

Your dreamy face must be the object of beauty to so many.

Paul's great and the most handsome member of the band during his youth 1960s-1980s.

Wow this is crazy , the statistics of the popularity of the songs of Righteous Bros and Beatles are very similar and the coincidence is that both songs were released in 1965 / January and June....../******
As a British boy, this song makes me so proud to be British. I fucking love the Beatles

The Best Song Ever
He wrote this song 4 days before his 23rd birthday. This guy is a genuine musical genius.
Casi 60 años de esta obra maestra...
That's a great song for when you're feeling sentimental. Did you ever like any other 60's songs? Maybe The Zombies, or Tommy James?
