Never apologize when music makes you emotional. That only shows that you appreciate the music on a deep level.
Thank you so much, this is so beautiful and emotional.
Off the top of my head, other songs with emotional depth would be,
"Everybody Hurts" by R.E.M.
"Rejoice in the Sun" by Joan Baez.
"Love Hurts" by Nazareth.
"I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith.
"Unchained Melody" by The Righteous Brothers. (though I prefer the cover by LeAnn Rimes)
"If I Didn't Have You" by Amanda Marshall.
"Long, Long Time" by Linda Ronstadt. (this last one is especially deep after watching the 3rd episode of The Last of Us tv series.
"The Great Gig in the Sky" by Pink Floyd. This song takes you through the seven stages of grief after losing a loved one.
"Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd (live Pulse concert version).
"On My Own" by Lea Salonga (Les Miserables 10th Anniversary concert)
Paul wrote this song in the aftermath of his mother’s death. He said , he was having a nightmare and in the middle of it, a vision of his mother (whose name was Mary) came to him and said…. Let it Be. He said he instantly felt a calm come over him and it served as the inspiration for this song.
I have always felt that it was not a coincidence that he calls his mom, Mother Mary, and the wave of peace he felt, and her wisdom, and her message that is so essentially spiritual (Let It Be). The Divine Mother comes to us as our own mother, and lives in her, to teach us love. Things equal to the same thing are equal to themselves. She has no religion, but is known in the West as Mother Mary, Mediatrix of Mercy.
Paul's mother died of cancer when he was a teenager. More than ten years later when the Beatles were in turmoil and Paul felt stressed, his life spinning out of control, he had a dream where his mother appeared to him and told him "let it be."
It is the Beatles, singing one of the best Beatle Songs, at around the time they wrote it. Of course you are going to be emotional, you are human
It’s one of my favourite from the Band, absolutely beautiful song.☺️
She’s crying because she knows that there’ll never be music THIS good ever again.
Music peaked in the 1960s and there seems to be no going back.
If you want to get emotional over this song check out the clip from the movie Across the Universe (Let it Be Carol Woods, Timothy Mitchum).
She's crying to get views. 😂
@@EightPieceBox I gauged her reaction. It is genuine.
The Beatles are Gods gift to mankind ✌🏻❤️
Paul’s mother, named Mary, died when he was fourteen years old, and came to him in a dream during the recording of the album, saying Let It be.
A lot of Christian’s thought he was talking about the biblical Mary. Paul responded by saying it was about his own mother, named Mary, but he thinks that interpretation is beautiful.
The gentle mother Mary who tells us “it’s going to be ok” is for everyone.
One of the amazing things about The Beatles was their musical transformation from a teen girl pleasing boy band singing "I Want to Hold Your Hand", to a fully mature Rock group singing classics like Let It Be and Hey Jude. There's been no band in history that's been as evolutionary and as innovative as The Beatles.
Even the early Beatles' represented a huge change in music. It's not evident to you, because you do not realize that they were the foundation of what you now take for granted.
I agree. I come from Australia. They are the best band ever
The song is about Paul's dead mother (Mary) coming to him in a dream to comfort him. Thats why you are crying'
Just four guys from Liverpool who changed everything
Wow..
When John was a teenager he was watching an Elvis movie and said "why couldn't God make me Elvis" and his girlfriend said "because he was waiting for you so he could make John Lennon".
Been a Beatles fan for 50 years, born the year they broke up, and I still cry when I hear this.
You are getting emotional because this is possibly the most achingly beautiful song ever made, and your soul is in harmony with that
I agree, it is such a beautiful piece
John was the creater , George was the Genius , Ringo was Ringo but Paul was the magic voice what The Beatles been all about ... for me
You aren't the only one. I've heard this song hundreds of times. It still moves me and impacts me today. Let it be.... Beautiful and perfect.
I had this played at both my son and my mother’s graveside services. It’s impactful
The Beatles were the greatest band in the world, they will always be the best.
You have a beautiful soul
Thank you so much, I really love this band.💯👍🏽
The saddest part of watching this is knowing that this was The End - the last few studio sessions of the greatest band, in the greatest studio set up, with the greatest technicians, engineers... Never to be repeated
Yea, it so sad and really emotional too.
Mother Mary was Paul's deceased Mother who died when he was 14. She came to him in a dream and said 'Let it Be'
"I don't know why I'm crying"
That's the power of music.
Absolutely 💯
the power of music knocks down the lies that racism was built on.
Mother Mary was his mother who talked to him in a dream.
Okay, thanks for the info. Appreciate it 🙏
@@shockwavereact Yes, Paul's mother's name was MARY Patricia (Mohin - her maiden name) McCartney. She died from breast cancer when Paul was 14 years old, so she never lived to see her oldest son, start being in a band at 15 years old, and then ultimately become a member of the most world famous and influential rock band in history. When the Beatles were on the verge of breaking up, Paul was becoming worried and at times despondent over the future of the band as well as HIS future if the band broke up. He had a dream one night that his mother (Mary) came to him, and said "son, just let it be, things will be alright." That was the inspiration for the song. Paul was aware that some people might think he was referring to the Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus, and he had said, that was alright too, if they interrupted it that way. But it was really his own mother who spoke those words to Paul in a dream. Either way, it is still a song of hope and comfort for many people. I still shed tears when I hear it and I have heard it probably a thousand times since it came out back in May 1970 until this very day, watching your reaction. DON'T APOLOGIZE for becoming emotional over a song that is so beautiful and means something to you. It is nothing to be ashamed of. Music SHOULD move us emotionally, whether to feel happy, encouraged, sad, to provide comfort, or just to feel joy.
She was also the mother of jesus.
You're crying because it one of the most beautiful songs from the greatest musical group in history.
It absolutely is so beautiful
It's just that beautiful ❤
Paul McCartney once said, "That's the power of music,
it is eternal."
I'm 56 years old, and I still cry whenever I hear:
"Let It Be."
Ty, Sir McCartney ❤
🤘
He is so right, the song still makes me whenever I hear it
Never ever apologize for being emotionally moved by a powerful song that touches your soul! Many many many people over the decades have gotten through hard times with help from Beatles music. The energy is real, embrace it! 🎶🎸💕
A perfectly honest reaction to this Great Song and Band.
Not originally meant to be a religious song. McCartney wrote it when the band was having problems. Paul had a dream where his late mother, named MARY, appeared to him and told him it’s ok, let it be. McCartney realizes that people see it as a religious or gospel song. He said he’s ok with that but it wasn’t the original intention.
I am 63 years “young”, my BFF went to a grammar school called St. Mary’s and the 8th grade graduates sang “Let It Be” at their ceremony. I have been a Beatles fan since I was a child.
The greatest song of all time.
McCartney admits he was inspired to write Let It Be by the death of his mother, who died of cancer in 1956, when Paul was just 14 yrs old. Paul's mother was named Mary. McCartney said his mom appeared to him in his dreams in the 60s. In Paul's dream, his mom said to him, "It's gonna be ok. Just let it be...." Paul never shared this story early on, so eventually fans & the world immediately interpreted it as a spiritual, religious song. I told MY OWN MOM, Paul's actual meaning for writing Let It Be. Being a VERY religious woman, my mom STILL PREFERRED to consider Let It Be a song about The Virgin Mary and spirituality, like the many millions of other people/fans. Regardless of how others perceive it, it's STILL a classic, timeless, & meaningful song. Thank you for such a very emotional reaction!
Wow… this is such a beautiful and emotional song, I guess everyone listens and interprets music however it suits them, I feel the message in the music has affected people in different ways, in general I love the positive message it carries. Thanks for watching and sharing this with us. 🙏😊
One of my earliest musical memories is hearing "Let it Be" playing over the radio in the Dairy Queen my parents took us to for ice cream after church one Sunday morning circa 1970. The Beatles broke up that year and dropped a bunch of solo albums that were all hits too. Their impact has been and still is, immense.
I'm 69 this is my FAVORITE beatles song.
It’s such a beautiful song ☺️
Listen to the long and winding road
I can't even tell you how many times I've heard this song and I still tear up listening to it
It’s amazing and so emotional
You’re beautiful, thank you for your reaction!
Thank you so much for the kind words
iconic song
BTW there's a musical/comedy film called "Yesterday" (2019). Its about a modern musician who has an accident with a Bus. He recovers into a world that has never heard of The Beatles. Yet he himself retains all his knowledge of The Beatles and their songs. So whenever he plays their songs everyone thinks he wrote the songs since they never heard any Beatles songs before. In this world, John Lennon (and presumably the rest of The Beatles) do exist. However Lennon never formed The Beatles and instead lives a quiet life with his family.
I played this song 6 times in a row in the car the last time I saw my mother alive 14 years ago a few days after going into an old folks home. It really helped me before and after. Then at my brother's church funeral 4 years ago I was responsible for choosing the music. I had many choices, however I started it with Let It Be - For me it said everything and felt right. I grew up on the Beatles. Saw them live on Ed Sullivan in 1964 on TV. I played all their music 45's, Lp's and cassettes. They ruled the 1960's. Let it Be is an incredible emotional song. It fills my thoughts with Mother Mary being the mother of Christ and also The Holy Spirit. No need to say, "Sorry I cried." Because this is an incredibly emotional song due to it's lyrics and sounds. It a supernatural song of love filled emotions filling the heart.
Mother Mary is actually Paul's mother.
@@michaelpatnaude You are correct. I remember Paul saying that in a video.
We cry because they put their heart and soul into their music. "Songs that make you feel".
It is a rare treat to find a reaction host who does not pause and interrupt the songs just to yap about something. Doing that kills the mood. Kudos and thank you for doing it right. Thumbs up.
Thank you for watching I appreciate your kind comment. This is such a beautiful and emotional song, I love it.
Great reaction...thank you! Good journey :) Peace!
Thank you so much 🙏☺️
Tears are appropriate. No need to apologize. Thanks for your reaction.
Thank you for watching.👍🏽☺️
Understandable that this song would bring you to tears. It's a very emotional song. I appreciate your reaction. Thank you.
Thank you for watching and leaving this comment 🙏
Mary was the name of Paul's mother who died when he was young.
Okay,
@@shockwavereact I forgot to add that he used to see her in his dreams hence he sings 'Mother Mary comes to me'.
It's always hard to pick a top Beatles song, but this one is a contender for sure. For me, this is like "Bridge Over Troubled Water" ... basically gospel.
I've been listening to this song for 50 years and it still brings tears to my eyes too! Look up the story to that song! Paul had a dream about it !
It’s such a beautiful and emotional song
Paul’s mother’s name was Mary! Mother Mary!💙
Okay 👍🏽
Paul often had songs come to him in his sleep, and he often dreamt of lost love one. He talks about several times having conversations with John (since he died) in his dreams.
That’s interesting. So sad loosing loved ones.
I've heard this song 100s of times and it still hits me in the feels.
That’s so true, it always feels like the first time each time I listen to it again
I've seen more people cry reacting to this song...
Myself, I had heard Let It Be, but I didn't hear most of the songs on the album until I got my own copy in 1984. And with it only having been a few years since John's assassination, I used to get a little teary listening to Across The Universe
One of the reasons that by broad consensus, they were the greatest band in the history of pop and rock music.
Absolutely agree 💯
FYI: "Mother Mary" actually refers to Paul's late mother, Mary.
Part of the Beatles genius is how very simple their melodies can be, yet so astoundingly beautiful they move us.
Around this time a movie Let It Be was released in theaters. A friend and I went to see it, it’s great if you’re a fan; we were 16.
About halfway through she said “My god -they’re old men!”
-The oldest Beatle at that time was … 29 🤣
Masters at work. 🥲
its a toching song, pau wrote it bout his mum who died whn he was a teen, her name was mary. many cry 2 vis modern classic
🔵THE MOTHER MARY HE'S SINGING ABOUT IS HIS MOTHER MARY WHO PASSED AWAY IN 1956 WHEN McCARTNEY WAS 14, BUT A LOT OF PEOPLE THINK HE'S SINGING ABOUT THE VIRGIN MARY AND HE IS NOT. PAUL HAD THE INSPIRATION FOR THE SONG WHEN IN 1969 THE BEATLES WHERE BREAKING UP AND HE WAS DOWN ABOUT IT, SO WHEN HE WENT TO SLEEP HE HAD A DREAM THAT HIS MOTHER MARY WAS STANDING BY THE FOOT OF THE BED AND SHE WAS TELLING HIM DON'T WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING SON, JUST LET IT BE, EVERYTHING WILL TURNOUT ALRIGHT. THE NEXT MORNING PAUL SAT AT THE PIANO AND WROTE THE SONG WITH THE HELP OF JOHN OF COURSE.🔴
You don’t need to apologize for crying it’s an emotional song
Thank you so much ☺️
This song brings tears to my eyes every time i hear it. My all time favorite.
Beautiful song, one of the best out of many great songs by The Beatles. That was Paul McCartney on the lead vocals. The Japanese women was John Lennon's wife, and the woman taking pictures was Paul's wife. Not that you don't already know, but there are many great Beatles songs out there. Hope to hear some more of them on your channel. I would recommend "She's Leaving Home" another Beatles song with sad, emotional lyrics and fabulous vocals. Great reaction, and I think you made a great choice of Beatles song.
Thank you so much, I love listening to them and knowing more about them. I have actually recorded “She’s leaving home” once it’s edited I’ll post it. Thank you again 🙏☺️
I remember buying this as a single when it was released. Still listening after 50 years plus. And people will be listening 50 years from now
This is an absolute classic song, ever green
It's pretty common for this song to hit people like this on first listen. Also listen 1000, and all of them in between
Paul's inspiration was that his mom came to him in a dream yesterday working title scrambled eggs also came to him in a dream
Okay that’s interesting
Amazing video thank you. Thanks for sharing your love filled emotions of your heart.
Thank you so much for the kind words
Beautifil beautiful be you to full 🙏
Sweetie..i cry all the time to the beatles. My dad has just passed and this was his group. Thats when i started to pay attention to them and the dad/beatles connection made sense..hence the tears. Carry on and rule..:)
So sorry for your loss, this is such a beautiful song, very emotional too.
You are watching four men who literally changed the face of music there will never be another group to match them their music will be played for Hu dress of years
This band is definitely one of my favourites 💯👍🏽
If you want to react to another very emotional song, watch Eva Cassidy singing Over The Rainbow (live at Blues Alley). She was unknown at the time of the recording, just playing in bars and clubs and tragically passed away due to undiagnosed cancer a few months later. Her performance is absolutely magical and it will bring a tear to your eye. Eva’s music was only discovered several years after she passed and she became very successful in the UK, but not so much in her home country of America.
I already checked and reacted to her song. It was really emotional
My favorite Beatles song, I love this. I turn up the volume anytime this song comes on. It is truly so very beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful song. It has also become my favourite from the Beatles too
My favorite song by Paul and the Beatles
Same here 💯😊
You could sing this at church and it would fit perfectly as part of the choir's repertoire.
Absolutely 💯
Good Luck and God Bless.
Thank you. And you too🙏
Definitely one of my very favorite songs by the Fab Four. An all time classic.
Absolutely a beautiful piece
It's like jon Lennon said it's Paul baby meaning his song
It’s such a beautiful song
It's okay for pretty girl to cry it just proves you're good person 😊😎
Thank you so much for the kind words 🙏☺️
Love your emotional reaction. Let It Be.
Thank you so much 🙏☺️
Bless you ❤
Thank you 🙏 😊
Wonderful song and such a lovely reaction 💕 ❤️
Thanks dear 🥰
This song got me through the hardest part of my life. My dad died almost three years ago. I playwd this alot and it moved me throgh the most painful days of my life. ❤️❤️❤️✌️
It’s such a beautiful and emotional song,
Please react to’The Long and Winding Road’ by the Beatles!
i started crying just looking at your thumbnail... now ya feel better? :)
Awwwn… it’s a beautiful song.☺️☺️
Saw Paul McCarteny perform this live. On a floating piano in the dark. No words. OK. No words.
The great Billy Preston.
Beautiful reaction😊
Thank you!! 😊
❤
Beautiful reaction. 💖💖
Thank you!! 😊
I think your emotional reaction is a completely appropriate response to this song. 'Let it Be' is so beautiful and powerful. Thank you for sharing with us.
Beautifull reaction
Thank you 🙏
.you are hearing the hit single mixed with the album version, both guitar solos which are different from each other are playing at once. At least you can also hear African American keyboard player Billy Preston playing the organ in this as well. the lady taking pictures in Paul McCarney's wife Linda , just before they were married.
I love your reaction! You are a beautiful woman :-)
Wow, thank you!🙏 ☺️
With Billy Preston on the piano, the unofficial fifth Beatle.
Oh I see
Love your reaction
Thank you so much 🙏
💚
Everybody cries
Yea.☺️
In my opinion, this song is more powerful while not watching a video, only listening.
Which ever way, watching or listening doesn’t change how powerful it feels, in my opinion.
nice reaction, thanks for no pausing. Cute girl
😊 thank you for watching 🙏
the beatles have alot of songs that get me teary-eyed
Paul lost his mother to breast cancer when he was 14. John Lennon's mom was killed, run over by an off duty cop who was drunk, when John was 17.
That’s really sad. 😔
@@shockwavereact And John Lennon was murdered in 1980 by a psychotic fan. Elton John sang a tribute to Lennon in his 1982 song, "Empty Garden: Hey, Hey Johnny". And George Harrison sang a tribute to Lennon in his song, "All Those Years Ago". Part of the lyrics go:
"You said it all though not many had ears, all those years ago"
"You had control of our smiles and our tears, all those years ago"
@@shockwavereact Paul also wrote and recorded a song in tribute to John , "HERE TODAY," which is also very emotional which might cause you to shed tears too. It's Paul professing his feelings for John in a way that, as Paul put it, "something that guys from Liverpool would NEVER say to each other." czcams.com/video/ADskZxJ_bcU/video.html PLEASE DO a REACTION to
"HERE TODAY" THANK YOU!
A very difficult time for the band. They put out some really good music in these last few years, but they knew it was close to the end.
The final album was released after John had quit the band. I'm sure these were some of the troubles on Paul's mind when he found comfort in memories of his mother.
I can imagine. The were indeed great together. I have really enjoyed listening to their songs, this is definitely one of my favourites
The world is a darker place now. We will never see their like again. ❤️
Such a good song. It seems they don't make music like this anymore. But that is just my thoughts.
True thoughts
Here's the kicker......none of them could read or write music to the page... they just feel it and play it
🏆🏆🏆🏆
Welcome to the only person who has never heard this anthem before
Only Beatles song I like
They are amazing
Mother Mary, was Paul's mother...
Okay
