Never underestimate the British ability to co-operate. We'll fight each other all day long, but put the right song on and boom, 4 disparate nations become 1. It's heart warming.
You got it TT. As Al Murray calls it the crazy gang, I can fight the jock's, Taffs n Paddy's, but gawd help anyone else.
Got to stay match fit somehow
just imagine: writing a song, a difficult song, that 40 years later just about anybody on the planet can sing along.
The funniest thing is that the label didn't want to release it because they thought people wouldn't like it. Freddie had to insist.
The only worst thing about the song is that it only last 8 minutes
Very nearly 50 years!!
I'll keep saying this until I'm dead, Bohemian Rhapsody is the greatest song by any band. Even without Queen there it still has massive influence on a crowd. The song is immortal and will live on forever. A musical genius in Freddie Mercury wrote this song, thank you. R.I.P Freddie, sadly missed but never ever forgotten.
I think there is 3, possibly 4 rock anthems for the ages - Bohemian Rhapsody, Stairway to Heaven, American Pie and possibly November Rain. The first 2 will definitely live on, the other two, time will tell.
@@peterschmidt1453 American Pie? That's not rock ffs lol
@@peterschmidt1453 are we not gonna talk about mr brightside by the killers.
@@mMm-jc8wd Great band, the Killers, definitely on my play list, but I don't see Mr Brightside as an epic anthem that will be a classic radio song still played main stream 30 years after it's release. Certainly no disrespect intended to the Killers, or yourself. Even the likes of Elvis Pressley only has a few songs still played on some mainstream nostalgia radio, a song has to be very special for each successive generation to keep wanting to hear it played and still remember the name, and even fewer will be epic songs, like Bohemian Rhapsody has become.
@@peterschmidt1453Free Bird, Paranoid, comfortably numb
Big thank you to Kenny Everett 'RIP' for helping to make sure this song took its rightful place in history.
I've watched people reacted to this so many times and it never bores me. Bohemian Rhapsody was voted, in the UK on 31st December 1999, the greatest song of that century so its safe to say that pretty much every British person grew up with it and will know all the words.
British chant and sing every week at football matches, it's in our dna. Throw music into the mix ,especially Queen and it goes to another level
community singing
miners
brass bands
football
queen
And we all had to sing hymns at school! 😅
So wish Freddie could’ve seen this 🥲. That was beautiful. RIP Freddie Mercury
My youngest daughter has sung this song in the car with me since she was 5. She's 25 now and we still sing it with grand hand gestures and headbanging ❤️
Green Day had a concert in Dublin a couple of months ago. My son and his girlfriend went. This song was played as a crowd warm up before they came on the stage. He said the crowd himself included sang every word of the song like this. He said the song was just electric. He really enjoyed it. This was released years before he was born. He loves this song. I think the song is embedded in everyone’s mind. It’s an all time classic.
Was thinking about that, how many in that crowd was even born when the song came out
@@mikgus the majority of Green Day fans are late teens and 20+. My son 28 his girlfriend 25. Neither were born when this was released. They both met lots of old school friends there. Still they all knew the words of Bohemian Rhapsody. It’s a song that’ll live on forever. Freddie died in 91 was son was born in 94.
That may have been the best crowd in the history of crowds.
It’s not that they sing it, it’s that they sing it EXACTLY the way Freddie sang it. I often tell people that there are only a handful of songs I can play again and again and never tire of it. Bohemian Rhapsody is top of that list. Your face was a picture. It’s impossible not to be moved by that video. It’s catching on too, I’ve seen several other videos at other venues around the world, as well as the U.K. since 2017
This is a regular occurrence now. This is the first time it was done, and the best. totally spontaneous.
I don't know why, but this always makes me cry. Maybe it's because I was so lucky to see Freddie live on stage at least one time. He would have smiled seeing this.
I saw this awhile ago and thought it was just fantastic. I hope Freddie looked down and saw this and the impact he had.
Freddie was conducting it.
I head be prowd
He was - look at the cloud in the top left of the picture - that was him:))
Pre-Queen
Based in London, Queen originally began as the band named Smile.
It was formed by band members guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor along with their lead singer and bassist Tim Staffell.
The group gained moderate success as they signed to Mercury Records in 1969 while Staffell was attending Ealing Art College.
There, he introduced the band to his friend Freddie Bulsara who became an ardent fan.
Staffell left the band in 1970 for a new group, and Freddie Bulsara, who was in the process of changing his last name to Mercury, stepped in and encouraged the group to experiment with flashier stage and recording techniques.
Who Came Up With the Name Queen
Whether or not you are a fan of Queen, everyone is aware of Mercury’s alluring personality and stage presence.
Mercury’s grandiose appearance translated to him choosing the band name “Queen.”
Though the other members were unsure of its name, Mercury insisted on the larger-than-life title.
Mercury noted in an interview that he chose the name because “[i]t’s very regal obviously, and it sounds splendid.
It’s a strong name, very universal and immediate.
I was certainly aware of the gay connotations, but that was just one facet of it.”
The multifaceted name reflects Mercury himself as it was to be provocative and pompous while also providing speculation, much like his androgynous style and sexuality.
All in all, the name is grand, large, and complicated like Mercury’s inner self, musical skill, and appearance.
The Band’s Crest
Not only did Mercury come up with the name, but he also designed the band’s logo-the “Queen crest.”
Mercury looked at the zodiac signs for inspiration.
To reflect the four band members, he placed two lions for Deacon and Taylor, who are Leos, a crab for May’s Cancer birthday, and two fairies since Mercury himself is a Virgo. The zodiac symbols surround a Q that is emblazoned with a phoenix.
The crest mirrors the multifaceted meaning of the band’s name as it resembles the Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom.
Queen’s Success
Queen was one of the world’s best-selling music artists for over four decades.
The ’70s brought them international success with “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
The song stayed number one on the UK charts for nine weeks in a row while also making the music video platform popular.
Songs like “We Will Rock You,” “We Are the Champions,” and “Another One Bites the Dust” hurtled the band into becoming one of the largest stadium rock bands in the world.
In 1985, Queen performed at Live Aid in Wembley Stadium.
Their performance went down in history as one of the best concerts in rock ‘n’ roll history.
Mercury’s Death
In 1991, Freddie Mercury died of bronchopneumonia as a complication of AIDS.
Since his death, Queen has been inducted into numerous halls of fame, such as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame.
John Deacon retired in 1997 having been greatly affected by Mercury’s death.
May and Taylor began touring as Queen, inviting talents like Paul Rodgers and Adam Lambert on lead vocals, and are currently on their Rhapsody Tour.
🕊🌹R.I.P Freddie Mercury (Freddie Bulsara), 1946-1991 🌹🕊
Amen Freddie you are so missed RIP , Thanks for the music it will outlive us all . As Always great reaction
You realize how big that song is and what it means to people when so many know every word. Like most here, I know every word. RIP rock legend
And their timing… Nothing rushed Metronome Freddie would love it 🥰
did this at the Austin F1 GP Green Day concert last year, it was amazing. My friends who were with me did not know it was going to happen and were amazed and we all sang our hearts out
You have succeeded, as an entertainer, when the audience sings your songs to you.
Take a look at "The Bard's song" live in Wacken with Blind Guardian.
Epic.
And you've hit legend status when the audience sings your songs to other artists when you aren't even there.
I've watched this, and a couple other Green Day shows, dozens of times and get chills each and every time.
The crowd sings the song together even the band isn't there, only Queen can do it.
No band on stage at all. Just background music with the best song of all time.
And the crowd still ¡ ¡ ¡ GOES ON FIRE ! ! !
No wonder your goosebumps, Becks. It's really amazing.
❤ I love this video, just like your S&R Becks ❤
Amazing! I hadn't seen this before. That crowd hit every note. Even the vocal fills. Thank You for sharing this.
Makes you feel proud to be British, but thats what we do! Freddie would have loved it. Well done all X Thanks Rebeka
✨Thank You✨
My mum asked me a few days before Xmas 1992 if my hi-fi could play records. I was like, yea. On Xmas morning I opened my Xmas stocking from Santa and found this single in it. I listened to it with my headphones on because it was still early. And I listened again, and again and again... I thought it was the most amazing song I ever heard. Thank you Santa/Mum... Rest is peace. Nothing really matters...
excelent!!! Freddie must have been with a damn big smile watching this from above !!!
This song is not just three easy verses and a chorus - yet, almost fifty years after its release, huge crowds can sing it verbatim and passionately, including intonation and stress.
There aren't many songs like that. None other, probably.
Amazing song from an amazing Band FREDDIE & QUEEN will live on forever it's just a masterpiece🎶❤
Thank you Rebeka for this yes I was singing with you love your reaction.
Even when Queen and Freddie arent there they are THERE
I bet the band members of Green Day were all backstage having an absolute blast listening to that incredible crowd too!
Or thinking, fuck, how can we beat that?
Most of the crowd at the 'Green day' concert were probably not born or only small children when this song came out but could sing all the words. 'Freddie Mercury' and 'Queen' were legends.
that moment the crowd start clapping together when the music ramps up is so emotional as they all do it together, nobody telling them to do it or anything on a video screen, they just all do it together at the same time, beautiful, makes you forget the bad things in this world that are happening.
This must be the highest tribute to a singer ever .Freddie still controlling the crowd from the heaven's.
Hard to believe I've never seen this before. Awesome. Especially good while watching your reaction.
Thank you!:)
Bands nowadays struggle to keep fans from their phone screens but this is Queen rocking a concert they aren't even there
Aww Rebeka thank you so much for reacting to my suggestion...this just blew me away and i knew it would be the same for you (i know how much Queen has influenced your life growing up)...to think...67000 people probably 95 percent of which were not even born when Queen released this...the setting..Hyde Park in London...the statues...the break in the clouds in the sky as though Freddie was watching and listening...goosebumps...thanks again lovely lady i hope you are well xx
I´d watch this video many times, but now I have a reason to watchen a million times more! Great, Beca! Thank You!
Thank you!:)
Thank you for this reaction! Freddie will live forever :)
This song-all time masterpiece!
Wonder how many bands wish that they could come up with a song like this
Ah what a reaction beautiful I deny anybody not to smile and cry at the same time Freddie was looking down from above look at the clouds at the beginning thank you take care x x
Thank you!:)
Green Day totally rocks
I was in that crowd, one of the best of the 45 times I've seen them and this set the tone
Me too Paul… what a moment mate.
Been counting down the days until you reacted to this one Becks! Soooooooooo good and kudos to Green Day to kicking off their concerts with this song; it warms the crowd up without help from anyone else! Brilliant - and just to offer up another tear jerker you might think of reacting to... Nothing Compares to you by Sinaed O'Connor xx
If the crowd waiting for you sings like this... well you better get your shit together and deliver!
Right? I think they were thinking fuck, put the wrong track on how can we beat that?
MAGIC
I watch this anytime I feel down.
Watch the sky brighten up and start shining on crowd.someone approves
All i can picture is Freddie smiling ear to ear hearing this
That was awesome great reaction!!

Hi your reaction is fantastic thank you for sharing it xx
This is so cool, there's another video taken from down with the crowd that is also a great watch seeing everyone bounce along in rhythm
Imagine being Green Day having to follow this…
Such a wonderful moment. Gave me chills. Also amazing how undying Queens music is.
30 years since freddie died and the legend that is queen refuses to die instead it is inspiring generations to discover and fall in love all over again with queen...
Very cool video of Green Day fans singing Bohemian Rhapsody and great reaction Rebeka.
Wonderfull, shows the love we all have for Queen and Freddie
This song is in our blood. We're British. This is what we do.
Beautiful as ever love. And I love that crowd. So cool. Freddie is long gone yet he can still rock an arena. Good Lord I was rock'n and bop'n right along with them. I miss Freddie. Freddie would be dancing.
Amazing!
Has huge fan Queen been 12 Queen concerts 2 with Freddie Mercury there showing my age a little. Bought tear to my eye. 1st it not Queen concert plus everyone knew the words it shows just good this song really is. Especially when it was written in 70's
You know Freddie was watching, and this made him happy.
Wow, great reaction/performance video. You made it so fun like we were part of the audience. I agree with your summary of this song. Thanks for the video. Take care gorgeous.

Powerful
:***
Hello beautiful reaction
This was the first single I bought , in 1978 . I was twelve I saved up for this .
We all love Freddie and Queen, period!
You are so right…Freddie would have loved this.
Let’s think about modern music shall we….how many rap or hip hop songs will be sung in their entirety by a rival crowd in 40 years times..?
Or even…40 weeks……🤷🏻♂️
1:10 I see you. Don't be shy, it effects us all the same. Since Freddie went to Eternity the Fans have been trying to summon him and This is how. Legend says if enough people sing Bohemian Rhapsody at the same time Freddie will manifest. This is 45,000 people.
I remember the first time I saw this, and thinking that was so amazing and thinking about how amazing it would been to be there at that time ❤️ Then a few days later, an other cover of Bohemian Rhapsody popped up on my feed, a young girl, singing Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT, and I hit play... and that was so beautiful that I cried ❤️ Her name is Angelina Jordan Astar, age 13 at the time, from Norway ❤️ I recommend you check that one out 👍
True Fame. Followed for 50 years and still as enthralled as ever.
I'd just finished work and was heading down in to Knightsbridge tube when this started.
From the happiest hippy, to the meanest hooligan or metal head when this song comes on we are all one. Literally one of the top 5 best songs from a rock band. Queen is fabulously perfect. Even my neices and news know and enjoy queen. And all they seem to like is rap and oath music like that.
Every time I watch this, I’m surprised Queen has not been Knighted yet…. Sir Freddie Mercury has a ring to it.
Can you be knighted after you die?
@@anabelaferreira9926 I just looked it up… and you can’t 😵
Thanks, Rebeka - Freddie would be so proud! lol (I heard that the band/crew actually delayed coming out in order to let the crowd finish... true or not? not sure)
Glad somebody recorded that.............
Reminds me of the rockin 1000 and i‘ve to find a great show playing wayne's world🤘😎
i believe Freddie would be awed at how his music still influences the world even something as simple as this
You are great Rebeka and you look very pretty
Could this be the largest, best, impromptu karaoke ever?
Legendary rest in peace Freddie
Freddie NEVER DIE!!
THATS SHOW HAVE GOOD QUEEN BEEN ❤
You just got a new friend because your rock out,💪🏴👋
