    This shows three things:
    1) Queen were a legendary band
    2) Bohemian Rhapsody is a legendary song
    3) The effect of choir is magic. You can be 99.9% certain that not a single person in this crowd could sing such a complicated song by heart in its entirety, and most of them didn’t even know the entire song (most of them probably sang horribly wrong notes too). But all together, it comes out absolutely perfect.

    • @AjanKan
      @AjanKan Před 7 měsíci +100

      It's the magic of the Pentatonic Scale. This is a quote from a website - "The general key of the song is Eb major / C minor and Brian May tends to combine the 5 pentatonic scales with the 5 full diatonic scales (major and minor scales)."

      You're right on 1 and 2 but way off on 3. I doubt that there's anyone in the UK over the age of about 5 who couldn't sing all of this from start to finish. Freddie and Queen are ingrained into UK culture in a way that you'd never understand unless you lived here.

      You'd be surprised, this is an English crowd. As a Brit, almost every single one of my friends knows a good 90% of this song at a minimum, so it would not surprise me if a large % of this crowd knows the entire song.

    Not many artists can say that a crowd can sing their entire song word for word , pitch perfect 48 years after it was 1st released and 32 years after you sadly passed , mark of very select few that truely can be called LEGENDS !

    • @maxwyght1840
      @maxwyght1840 Před 7 měsíci +31

      It's not pitch perfect though.
      However, the fact there are thousands of voices singing in harmony averages out the various tones, which makes it sound perfect.
      It's the same resoning that if you look at those composite images that create the "average womn/man", they seem actually way more attractive.
      Because ironically enough, we are wired to seek the most average(read: symmetric") features, as they imply better genetics

      It is pretty awesome....but I'm gunna guess the average is a TAD higher. Green Day is nearing retro status. American Idiot was like 20yrs ago lol

    This is the first time I am watching this in 2024, alongside Hearts cover for "STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN" at the Kennedy Center and to be honest, I have cried. This is what it means for your music to reach out to generations even after you are gone. All I would say is they were legends who did what they had to do and now are at rest. 🥺🥺

    Average age of crowd? 19. Age of Bohemian Rhapsody in 2017? 42 yrs. Thousands of 19yr olds know, by heart, a song that is more than 2x older than them. This is what makes Queen legendary.

      This song will be known for centuries. Much like Beethoven and Mozart is today. Queen/Freddy did a very rare thing and wrote a a piece of music that _will_ stand the test of time.
      They'll still be singing this in the 2500s. I guarantee.
