@@dimitrislds24 since this is from 2017 at that time it was 26 years so you were correct to begin with
I just had the biggest 2020 effect even tho it's 2024 I thought these comments were posted in 2017 I got so scared
This shows three things:
1) Queen were a legendary band
2) Bohemian Rhapsody is a legendary song
3) The effect of choir is magic. You can be 99.9% certain that not a single person in this crowd could sing such a complicated song by heart in its entirety, and most of them didn’t even know the entire song (most of them probably sang horribly wrong notes too). But all together, it comes out absolutely perfect.
It's the magic of the Pentatonic Scale. This is a quote from a website - "The general key of the song is Eb major / C minor and Brian May tends to combine the 5 pentatonic scales with the 5 full diatonic scales (major and minor scales)."
You're right on 1 and 2 but way off on 3. I doubt that there's anyone in the UK over the age of about 5 who couldn't sing all of this from start to finish. Freddie and Queen are ingrained into UK culture in a way that you'd never understand unless you lived here.
I wonder if the crowd auto-sorted themselves into high parts and low parts for the "Let him go! Bismillah!" parts
You'd be surprised, this is an English crowd. As a Brit, almost every single one of my friends knows a good 90% of this song at a minimum, so it would not surprise me if a large % of this crowd knows the entire song.
@@jontuson2078 It is the UK's favourite song of all time. By the age of 18 anyone living here who doesn't know all the lyrics to at least Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, & We Are The Champions is automatically exiled from the island.
The guitarist said, " We went on as a support act, the main act left the stage 11 years before we got there.." An amazing display of humanity.. Well done, all those there..
😭🥲. I hope Brian May and Roger have seen this...

Not many artists can say that a crowd can sing their entire song word for word , pitch perfect 48 years after it was 1st released and 32 years after you sadly passed , mark of very select few that truely can be called LEGENDS !
It's not pitch perfect though.
However, the fact there are thousands of voices singing in harmony averages out the various tones, which makes it sound perfect.
It's the same resoning that if you look at those composite images that create the "average womn/man", they seem actually way more attractive.
Because ironically enough, we are wired to seek the most average(read: symmetric") features, as they imply better genetics

It’s certainly listenable, but it’s the kind of song that you’d need to listen to at night, shortly before bedtime, as you’re winding down from the day. My favorite song is almost 12 minutes long.
@@autumnphillips151 Huh, I'm really curious but what are the songs you are talking about? :0
