Clip #22 yes, teddy should not have swerved into the passing lane to his left. He should have stayed in his lane and let the Aston Martin hit him as then it would have been the Aston Martin at fault for an accident instead of teddy being at fault for the accident….
Teddy should have paid for the extra insurance coverage if he didn't have coverage from his personal vehicle.
@@bernardowens1648 Maybe try paying attention. Teddy is new to the United States so he very likely does not have a lot of money. He rented the car instead of buying one. OF COURSE, with little to no extra money and any sort of insurance costing ASTRONOMICAL amounts of $$$ these days, Teddy may not have been able to afford it.
THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK. There is NOTHING Black-or-White about life in general and you do not know EVERYBODY's situation.
@@jamescurfman3284 WTF????? Lighten Up Frances....
@@jamescurfman3284idk where you live but where I am insurance 1k and it is way more worth it than paying 1300
Plus with or without insurance he's still in the right and the Aston was at fault
He should apply the breaks and stay in his own lane unless he can clearly see that the other lane is empty. That is why you should scan other lanes while you are driving.
7:13 I bet I know what happened. “Customer was told that they needed new tie rod ends, but they declined repairs and drove away.“
So the Honda went from a Just Rolled In subject to a Wham Baam subject😂
@@Jnglmpera Nice to see Just Rolled In mentioned here! 😜
thanks for reminding me , at least I have a good reason to have declined it, probably unlike that driver
please god let that be a joke. my 13 shitty... er chevy (supposedly) needs them but yet the only bad thing i see about not doing them is less cornering ability.
2:17 "Should he have done something different?" Absolutely. Never swerve even if you think the lane next to you is clear. Let that Aston Martin driver hit you and pay for your repairs. Not to generalize, but I think he could afford them. He got away scott-free since he didn't hit anyone.
Bingo. Also, what if someone was coming down the fast lane... I dunno, going fast? The accident would be far worse, and also completely your own fault.
YES THIS!!!!! Unless you have a clear shoulder to swerve into or hitting that car would kill you, just let it happen XD
its a reflex
With the video cam, insurance companies will still go after that Aston owner for making unsafe lane change. Even if there was no contact with Aston Martin, that driver contributed to accident.
@@Fan-lq6uvyeah that’s what I was thinking
9:49 #9 the pickup driver probably looked away from the light and when the green arrow turned on it triggered him to go thinking his light was green. Its not uncommon, I have even done it before.
I concur. I made the same mistake a few months ago. I had a car-ful of passengers chatting and distracting me. When I saw green, I went. Thankfully there was no cross traffic at the time.
5:11 so the semi driver didn’t purchase a new car for the driver who ran into him? 😂
no he bought new lug caps
@@zyaslit I know!
For #9 Several times I have seen something similar. I have always attributed it to the driver thinking their light had turned green when it was in fact only the one for the turn lane had.
7:12
The wheel remained upright. This means the upper and lower mounts of the hub remained intact. The upper would be a McPherson Strut on that make/model. The lower would be a wishbone-looking control arm & ball joint.
The wheel remained on the hub, so that means the wheel bearing was not the catastrophic failure, though it should still be inspected before the car is roadworthy again.
That leaves one remaining part that controls the wheel hub by what we call steering: the tie rod.
Which part of the tie rod failed would be noticeable upon close inspection, but seeing how quickly the wheel turned sideways, I'd say the boot at the ball joint of the outer tie rod likely had split months ago and allowed dirt and water to get in and over time (roughly 5k miles) if the driver isn't noticing the sloppy steering, the joint fails as seen in the video. (yes, tie rods have ball joints. 2 of them actually. One at the hub is part of the outer tie rod and the other is part of the inner tie rod.)
If, however, the wheel is indeed slanted back like a \ and struck the wheel well at the bottom, then the lower ball joint is the likely failure, which will bend the tie rod making it unable to be used again anyway.
So, either way, these parts need to be inspected and replaced as found needed to make the car roadworthy again:
1. the inner tie rods, left and right
2. the outer tie rods, left and right
3. the ball joints of the lower control arms, left and right
4. the wheel bearings, left and right
5. brake lines, left and right
6. ABS sensor cables, left and right
It's unwise to replace these parts 1 by 1. Replacing these in pairs is safest (both left and right).
Also, if one of the parts starts failing, it puts extra stress on the others to compensate to keep the wheel on.
The longer you go without replacing them when they indicate they need replacing, the more expensive it will be as other parts also fail sooner than they should.
You're a great teacher, thanks! I like your el Camino btw
Yo it's the tie rod/tie rod end no need for a whole essay LOL 😂
I would have said ball joint snapped as I had a lower ball joint snap on me right after turning into a Safeway parking lot. My coworkers wife who works there thought I ran over the cart demon as she was locking the north doors.
@@eddiebug1I also would have said ball joint. I had one snap in my first car, and the wheel was pulled back much like the one in the video.
when a random CZcams comment teaches me more than my university teachers 🤦♂️
I have personally seen those Metro busses run red lights more then once. Keeping to their schedule is much more important then safe driving.
I always see the craziest drivers in San Francisco. Glad I have a dual channel dash cam! There are several other videos I can send in as well.
Ooh, San Francisco would be fun to see! I hope you send in all the crazy stuff you have! I am sure the hills provide plenty of 'WHOOPS!' moments, especially for newer drivers. I bet most of California would be almost as crazy as San Francisco. You have SUCH A HUGE population over there, things are bound to go wrong more often. But Frisco is a special case.
These videos highlight two crucial lessons: always have a dashcam and assume that other drivers are incompetent.
A Camaro and an Cadillac Escalade, most expensive collision ever 😮
I love this title - "Worst Drivers of California - Volume 1.....out of 4,759!!!!!
WHOA! A Mercedes being hit, instead of hitting someone?! 😱
Also a reminder - "all season" tires are actually 3 season. They aren't good below 7C (44.6F) the rubber become "harder" and doesn't grip the ground.
When driving in snow/rain you should be going slower than the speed limit. That way you'll be able to stop in time.
my current summer tires are far better than my winter tires at -8c the day when i got them changed over the roads looked like glass . the winters had loads tread but they were horrid so thrown them out with at least 8k miles worth legal tread. brake tests before and after the summers were must been 10x better getting going, stopping and cornering. not all winter tyres are equal and as most days it more dam and mild in winter most the time winters were like driving on oil. so changing to summer tires but with a good water rating at the start winter was a very good option for me. done lots very cold early morning drives and on twisty road the brakes soon warm up the tire anyway and grip only gets even better even tho they were already way better than the winters. i was able to test them also with no ABS,ESP,TC as brake censor turned off all computer help and you learn grip limits. be very careful what winter tires you get, get top brand or stay with summers. the winters came with my car i did not want to rid of new tyres so used them for a bit and they were dam right dangerous most the time even hydroplaned when i following traffic at 50mph no one else had issues but i knew what to do so it was non issue for me but that was the final call for them soon as i got back my next drive they got replaced and thrown away, driven same road with much more water at around the same speed no issues. be very careful when picking your tyres some good some dam right dangerous
These videos serve to teach two very important lessons: buy a dashcam and assume everyone else on the road is a moron.
Well, being California, they are all kind of crazy.
#21 - I witnessed something similar, even posted the footage on my Facebook page.
That idiot pulled several illegal moves.
Cannot figure out time stamps, but the one where a driver named Kai was rear-ended on the freeway and did not know the results of the field sobriety test administered to the other driver--since the other driver was handcuffed and arrested, they did not pass the field sobriety test and were most likely legally drunk which a urine or blood test will confirm.
Just put the minute, then a colon then the seconds 6:12
@@Glegh It said 'LIVE' and was counting backwards.
Even if you’re under the legal limit the cops will still take you in & give you a ticket because you’re still technically “driving under the influence”.
@@Incenitivity Good point--with the accident on camera proving the other guy was driving recklessly, even under the 0.08 limit could be convicted for drinking and driving, rightfully so.
There’s a time stamp button on the far right on the comment line, right next to the send button. Looks like a square with a plus sign. If you just push that, it will automatically time stamp for you. Not sure about it being live at the time tho.
The bus tryna beat the yellow light is common here in Philly 😂 Cops rarely do anything
#22 is a classic example of why you don’t swerve. Swerving means you haven’t had time to check to be sure the other lane is clear. You apply your brakes and stay in your lane.
After driving truck from Vancouver, WA to LA, CA twice a week for 10 years all I can say is "Welcome to California". I've seen a lot of strange and stupid driving stunts over the years. P.S, I've been watching watching Wham Bam Tesla cam, Wham Bam dash cam and Security cam for a while now.
Accidents happen in California but the people I met aren’t terrible people they didn’t do it on purpose
Washington allows free right on red without stopping. Except in cities where they passed their own rules against it. Washington is unique in that it allows every jurisdiction to make their own rules. One county in rural Washington was going to make everyone drive on the left side of the road so they could write more tickets. Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed and they found other ways to write tickets to raise revenue.
@@richardbeckenbaugh1805 I don't know where you heard any of this but I've lived in WA for well over a decade and never have heard any of this. It's absolutely illegal to turn right on a red light without stopping first.
I enjoy watching wham baam dash cam and dash cam lessons videos.
#21 Eric's video: this is a ticketable offense as it's evading traffic control device. Right on red, then left turn through parking lot or U-turn and back on the original road to avoid waiting on red light have resulted in accidents.
I feel like you could argue that you wanted to get gas and then just changed your mind.
@@sohansaha5836 Good luck talking police out of issuing ticket. If they see you drive through and not stop, they will assume you're bypassing traffic light
👏👏👏 We need much more of these... Their are dozen of crazy drivers in California!!!!!
We have enough videos to make two more episodes just for CA. But we are going to do TX and ON first, and maybe NY, before we come back to CA
8:05 That swerve is soo good! She swerved better than anyone i know! Lucky For Her.
Clip #1: That Bus weighs a LOT more than almost any car or SUV. And the distance needed for it to safely STOP is also a lot longer. The Driver might have calculated that they couldn't safely stop before entering into that intersection.
LET’S GOOOOO!!!!!!! Love this channel a lot!!!!!!!!!!
If someone comes into your lane, you never ever change lanes, if they hit you they will have to pay to get your vehicle fixed. But if you swerve into another lane and hit someone you will have to pay.
this gonna be way better
I've yet to see an LA Metro bus driver who *didn't* treat a yellow light like a personal challenge.
10:05 - classical rookie mistake. Seeing signal turning green, and thinking it's for you.
#11 I am surprised that the biker pulled over instead of running off.
7:11 i do, that bih went “KA-CHOWW!!!”
#9 is very common when the turn lane turns green and people in the straight lane think it’s their light that changed.
this happened before i got a dash cam, but it’s prevalent.
the road that leads out of my high school is a double yellow line. i was on my way home one day when i guess a parent that didn’t wanna wait in the carpool line got fed up with waiting and decided to try to get in the other lane that i was in (heading home) to weave through traffic. he just BARELY missed my car. had i not seen him do it early and be able to swerve to the right, he totally woulda hit me. after that i got a dash cam cuz if i didn’t have one and i got in an accident i might be screwed.
Teddy, you did what you could. What you should've done is called "leaving an out", looking at your mirrors beforehand so you know where to go to avoid an accident. I might've switched lanes to pass the Aston Martin. That's also leaving space.
That clip from Jurupa/Riverside is around where I live. That intersection is crazy, you'll see trucks blowing through solid reds constantly they're too, it's very dangerous.
Ayyyeeeee my day is made
Congrats on 300k subs🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
#14 blew out the left, lower ball joint. I see that happen, at least once per month. 😮🤯
Ur mom sees that every other day
Sorry, I had too
@@Glegh Not possible 450 miles away and 6 feet underground, since December 1992. Doubtfully 🧐
This is the comment I was looking for. A buddy of mine had this happen on the passenger's side. Luckily he was in the right lane and it pulled him into the shoulder.
@@joshdillon9637 This PARTICULAR ball joint design is notorious to fail without warning. Because? 🤨 They are installed Upsidedown in the spindle, with the nut facing down. Impossible to grease and inspection requirements are that you remove the weight off the lower arm. Well, if you jack it up BY THE LOWER ARM... Makes it look ok and solid joint. Use a pry bay, try to pull the arm DOWNWARD with the pry bar, away from the spindle. Uh oh 🤯 Yeah. That's how you check it out.
@@jasonpocaro2730 that sounds awful.
Yay top 51 comments. Love this channel. Best to you and your family. Thanks for making this video.
Looks like he lost a tie rod or an axle.
Teddy should have stayed in the lane since it wasn't clear to move over.
The good thing about this edition is you can do it for every state and never run out of content to post! I would change the name to "wham baam dipshits in every state"!
Plenty more on the way! These are in addition to our normal weekly videos.
Na the Bus is running late 😂it's most professional thing to do ❤just got red...
The wreck at 6:20 was bad! It's good that the driver that got smashed survived.
Hyundai Kona IRONMAN EDITION? LMAO wow, we consumers sure are schmucks sometimes.
Wow, so they actually make capeshit edition cars nowadays. Do parents let their children decide what car they're supposed to buy?

This is funny because I was just thinking about bad bad Tesla Man cam drive😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
u guys need to do a worst drivers of Texas!

Definitely the turning lever/control arm came off
I’ve been watching this channel since 2021
6:20.... FLEW UP. YEAH... LIKE A RACECAR WITH A ROCKET ATTACHED TO IT. WHAT THE HECK
Another reason to not camp in the left lane going 70💀
You need to get footage from the California High Desert (Apple Valley, Hesperia, Victorville) to see REALLY bad drivers.
#14 poped a steering ball joint
California? I see New York, Chicago, and Europe in these videos :) I think one is from Texas too.
That's because you are watching the trailer, not the actual video which does not premiere for another 73 minutes :)
14: BRO THE AXEL SAID CRKKK
Could have been a ball joint, Luce
11:30 oh hey that’s like right up the freeway from me
yes teddy, not over react! and watch your back just like your front
2:41 "Didn't see what was happening," is a weird way to say, "Didn't have time to react to another car suddenly swerving into them."
The “expensive” suv is partly liable as they caused what is known as a near miss. Resulting in an accident.
22) never swerve and just because someone's turn indicator is on, does not mean you have to let them in, you have right of way in your lane, they are responsible for merging into your lane safely.
When the karma of instant justice for law breakers is applied there is usually no property damage or personal injury. This is good.
clip 22 yes, he should have taken the rental loss damage waiver. thats what its for
Can you do PA? Also love your vids dude keep it up ❤🎉
Eventually, when we have enough videos! 12 so far from PA
@@RealBenAnderson Omg huge fan of the channel! Thanks! 😊 ❤️
On that car that suddenly had a mechanical failure from what I can see from the video it looks like the outer tie rod on the steering system broke. The outer tie rod is the only thing other than the control arms that hold your wheel in the place if that outer tie rod breaks, your wheel is able to go sideways and 88 miles an hour after it broke, it probably destroyed the control arms and the strut assembly
Clip#22 ive seen the same model astin on a 2 lane road at the right having its right signal on

As a Korean watching this video, I’m so excited to see Hyundai ‘Kona Ironman addition’ in California, where I lived for a year when I was 11.( I’m 16 years old now)
It’s also hard to see that car in Korea (I’ve seen it only 2 times on road)
I think there hasn’t been a video from Korea…
I hope my parents capture some interesting moments on road to submit.( NOT FOR THEIR CRASHES, OF COURSE!)😉
#6 should be "the driver of the SUV should not have assumed the turning lane was clear and waited until they could be sure." It was also probably an illegal left turn, as they'd be crossing double yellow lines.
The Camaro driver had the right of way, and should not have expected someone to pull into their lane.
1:30 G35 drivers are hated amongst the car community
7:05 my guess tie rods, one of the points of inspection on a Vehicle Inspection and why they are important...
We need a Worst (i.e. Normal) Drivers of Texas next.
That is literally next :D in a few weeks
Crazy drivers in Irvine. I almost always that city
Wow nothing for Modesto Turlock area
The guy in the red car at 1:51 is inviting himself to a shootout. He's going to mess with the wrong person one day.
3:00 on choosing California yes
The audacity of Some Driver believes if they have their blinker (indicator) on that it’s okay to merge and the right of way is theirs….”WRONG”🙄
Merge “if it’s SAFE”! Calculate in a timely manner to change lanes, not at the last second merging🤦🏻♀️
Either you should go slightly faster or slower to merge on the freeway safely or surface streets.
7:15
The Shocks snapped off because the shocks were bad quality or just reaaaaaaaaaaaaly old
#14 Broken axle. Older Hondas are notorious for them.
Driver going 10 MPH over the speed limit: Arrest that scofflaw going 20 MPH over the speed limit!
"i WaS jUsT fOlLoWiNg ThE fLoW!!1"
You were speeding, period. That some others also were speeding doesn't change facts. Strange that it's always the fastest going cars, never the slower ones or even legally driving ones, that create this magical "flow" that some believe they're obliged to follow.
Number 14 looks like he lost a lower ball joint.
Need to do one for Florida because the way these people drive especially in Miami lord 😂😅😅
1:27 we can cleary see cop lights in the merc. What ur opinion
