Dave is truly an honest product of his own self. You can not replicate what he does. All lessons aside, what makes him, is his comprehension.
This dudes solos made me wanna check out more of the band. The progressions are smart and interesting. Drummer kills as well! Hope they get HUGE!!

I think Revocation and Dave are so.. true?, I like a lot his riffing and soloing, it was clear to me how he was a music lover and did the music he would like to experiment wit. Watching this video I admire him more, he's a smart guy and a musical mind. He seems really honest too. Admiration' (y)

I had never heard of them until I saw them open for Children Of Bodom. They killed it. Badass metal, but not being in the least bit serious. Goofy as hell. Very positive vibe. You can just look at him and see a cool dude. Not a mean bone in his body.

Met him at a show yesterday. Awesome guy and amazingly talented. I knew he was influenced in jazz. You can hear it a lot in his playing.

+2! Not only that, but they were extremely entertaining live. He is hilarious and really sets the mood. Saw them open for Children Of Bodom earlier this year, never heard of them before then. Glad I know of them now.

This guy has easily one of the best heads on his shoulders for a metal band member.. just listening to him talk about the song structure and song-writing, you can tell he's very in touch with writing songs that appeal to the listener.. in other words, it's not just a shred fest with them.. they play some awesome shit, technical shit, but I love that he says, "we just wanna rock"... that's awesome to hear something that honest. Got nothing to prove... just wants to play music.

Hard to find "Erosion of Sanity" on CD but if you do, buy it! Eargasm of technical death metal the whole time. One of the first :)

This interview makes me feel like there are lots of kick ass riffs they didn't put on the record because they thought it didn't add anything, but really it was a super great riff.

Hell yeah! "Considered Dead" is every bit as awesome as "Erosion..." just not technical death, more classic old school death, but even then they did it better than most bands at that time! AND with melodic stuff too! Sadly, another CD that is next to impossible to find... I'm glad I hung on to those two!!!

hahahahah i was just about to say "who the fuck would name their son David when their last name is Davidson?" but he answered that right in the beginning lol
David Davidson is not only incredible as a guitarist, but also can write some creative music, passionate riffs, and melodic solos. As much as Marty Friedman's one of my favorite guitarists, I think David Davidson deserved the "Metal Injection Best of 2018" award for "Guitarist of the Year" instead of Nita Strauss although she's a great player. If it would've been "Metal Injection Best of All Time Awards" and if the "Guitarist of the Year" nominations would've been the same, I'd choose Marty. David and Marty are outstanding though.

Have to be honest not too into his kind of music but he definately seems to know his stuff and his musical knowledge isn't stuck in metal. All in all a pretty cool guy and nice interview.
Possessed's Seven Churches was the first death metal album though. (I do, however, love Death)
