This is a very clever and well done spin on western Greek mythology comparable to what i sometimes see in anime where I am impressed to see how the Japanese have better knowledge and understanding of western mythology then I have seen by those whose mythology it is talking about.

"The 4th World War" - chilling, because it implies a 3rd World War. And the way I immediately put all my hopes into Gaia - who is to say this isn't what has happened before? Are our current deities simply AI created by a previous human civilisation we aren't aware of?
Not just AI created by humans, but humans WITH AI symbiosis. Humans who integrated themselves with AI technology or other advanced technology. They reached immortality in the sense they would not die, unless someone cut their head off. The REAL gods. Deus Ex Machina.

I've had vivid lucid dreams since I was a kid, and a few played out as sci-fi/futuristic stories that I've always wanted to write as books, but my mental health has always been trash so I get hung up and frustrated immediately.
One I called In Them We Trust or We Trust for short.
Religious myths and propaganda affecting civilizations across the galaxy. Millions of years of wars/proxy wars started by bad actors, especially a shapeshifting species.
For Earth, Bible stories influenced by the shapeshifting species were preemptive seeds of propaganda against their enemies (good guys). Things like the serpent and "the mark of the beast" were propaganda. The Alliance (good guy collection of alien civilizations) had done away with physical money/wealth hoarding. For those that wished to live untethered or on goodwill, the Alliance had a system in which anyone could live solely on good deeds and educational endeavors. It was dubbed a Good Samaritan Charity chip (GSC for short) in human English.
A chip usually placed in an arm/hand/appendage and DNA/RNA/ETC locked (could be removed whenever without cost or long wait.)
Doing good deeds, helping others, gathering new and legitimate information to add to public knowledge servers (free to all to consume) would earn credits to live off of while traveling. An old children's story, a nursery rhyme with context, novels, history, pretty much the preservation of history and works could be compensated. Perfect for those who love to learn and explore.
The mark of the beast "forehead" was disinformation regarding rehabilitation for crime. Alliance at some point decided that death removed chance of improvement and incarceration was unfit, given some races lived far longer or shorter than others.
So a type of VR stasis/brain simulation sleep setup was created where rehabilitation could take place. They could learn a trade, improve their issues, psychological assistance, set plans for a future they'd like that was reasonable. Weeks-months could play out for them while real time it'd been maybe a few hours or days. While always trying to avoid death, the worst of the worst could receive indefinite VR stasis.
